Its not that hard even ngl. You can train until you become someone who always plays with the matter (best ways and even little tricks) or someone who just plays it because cause.....
Play on Civilian difficulty first, before anything else.

@@galilelollel9658 this , i never watched a tutorial on how to play i just used to play italy a lot pre BBA to learn the mechanics since you start of in war straight away. Now id recommend an axis minor like romania for learning

Haven't played the game in years and I tried to fight a civil war in canada. 3h of my life wasted after I noticed I didn't do any supply stuff

Not a good idea with the trucks. If you put it with the trucks on, it will automaticly do the supplies everywere but not undo it wheny ou pushed far into the front. Manage it manually.

Thank you! I just got this game 2 nights ago and only got it for the Old World Blues mod for Fallout. But now I am learning HOI4 and the overhaul mod at the same time and getting crushed even when using console commands to cheat hahhaha
I was half expecting just a minute of the Biggie x Thomas the Tank Engine mash up ngl.
If you ever make a ver. 2 of this, the only things I would do would be to shorten a bit of the middle by basically saying "red in the lines = bad throughput, smash this button to upgrade all choke points and improve your throughput. If that doesn't fix your supply problem, remove units, build more supply hubs/docks, and build more infrastructure* in the province," and whilst you were showing off the upgrade all chokepoints button, (and the manual motorisation button to explain the difference between levels/amount of trucks you should realistically stockpile,) I'd show the "my allies can starve, lmao, I want all my supply" button too, which can help in some cases.
The manual motorisation thing is the first I'd cut, which I presume you did, because setting it by general is just flat out better, but yeah, nice way to explain supply range, and how much equipment you may need.
Explaining the trains for "free" decision, and the value of the different train techs may be worthwhile too, but you'll probably end up sounding like a auctioneer on a busy day by that point lmao
*I'm vaguely certain higher infrastructure will increase the amount of units you can have in a province before you get supply debuffs

@@DijonDillan Oh yeah, if you do make a pt2, the airlift supplies option is technically still in the game, not that it's good anymore (curse you PDX!) because, y'know, if you're building airstrips near the front, just fill it with CAS and not even worry about supply, at least on single player
Oh, and mulberry harbours are actually interesting for "supply on the offence" or whatever, though I've only remembered to use them once or twice.

Thanks for helping everyone with this guide. I’m new to HOI4 and wonder why I’m Germany and am losing to Belgium. I looked at the supply thing and it might be why so thanks.
Not rlly. Germany and belgium have enough surplies. You got maby 1: shitty troops 2: shitty frontline 3: you put youre troops on that one border with belgium where he can put 8 divisions and just defent while you try to get in from I think it was 2 to 3 sides but it doesnt matter. You have to make a fallback like in germany to let the belgiums first in and then push them back with encirclemens
No dont do the max trucks, cus you need so many trucks for that it’s not worth it

I did all of that but..Nothing changes. Supply is still bad in some areas (the furthest from the capital) and I just can’t get them where I need to besides have built railways EVERYWHERE! (They all connected to the capital) it doesn’t work..Any tips?
It's because supply comes from the capital to the supply hubs, then from hubs to the units, the standard supply come with horses, that means less range, you can switch to trucks for more suply

I got myself encircled in Berlin and for some reason Berlin wasn't considered a supply capital, even though it was my capital. It just didn't give my divisions supply. Why was that, if someone has explanation?

I’m not sure if you still check the comments, but i’m wondering about supplying overseas. Playing as Italy, obviously one of the most important parts is the African theatre. But it’s all blue on the map. Do you need to build a supply hub down there to fix it?
