Fauna is a gamer BECAUSE she restrains herself by using a controller and still plays well. If she were to switch to KB & M permanently games would be too EZ for her.
Fauna using a controller is like Kenpachi wearing his eye patch.

Especially if HiRyS mentions the 60% format, *some* of them have smaller keys that fit better with smaller hands ⌨️🖐
edit: most 60% have normal sized key, I wrote "some" because it _is_ possible to find smaller keys on this format, while it is nearly impossible to find it in full formats or regular TKL.

This is a beeg mood. There's a lot of games I rather play on controller, even with my fps games. I can certainly do better with kb+m, but if it works for me, all the better. Loving Fauna even more knowing she knows the struggles.

I usually play KB&M, but for JRPGS and certain other games, like Monster Hunter, I will exclusively go controller.
5:40 fauna not wrong. Default keybinds in kb&mouse can often be idiotic to the max. It’s why I started to rebind all games to a standardised control style years ago. Only issue them are console-first or indie fans where devs hard lock functions without the option to rebind them. NMS, some Ubisoft games, a bunch of the soulless third person action adventures with stealth and rpg elements and occasionally even a management game.
that's been more and more the case the last decade thanks to consolitis. before the games used to have sane PC controls because people used KB to play
AutoHotkey or a similar program might help (never tried it myself though)

Some games do have terrible default mapping for keyboard... I should know, I've played several years of Warframe with default keyboard controls, since all the way back when we were coptering through levels rather than bullet jumping.
There was a time I thought I would also stick with controller but now I mainly play with keyboard and mouse.
There can be issues with ergonomics of the keyboard for your hand but it is more so if you type all day than gaming.
If I played Hitman would 7:20 make any more sense? Does Agent 47 have poisonous shoes? Is the lake filled with flesh-eating bacteria?
I've seen people more violently pushed into swimming pools by their friends.
C'mon Fauna.. don't you use legacy keybinds on Dota2 right.. right?
In 2000 I was playing on consoles but in since 2004 I played dozens of games on keyboard and mouse even bad ports from consoles didn't stop me like Resident Evil 4.

Insert "Controller" where she says "keyboard & mouse" and "Keyboard & mouse" where she says "controller" and you have me lol. Holding a controller feels like its designed to give you cramps. Especially the big xbox-style ones. I can only do smaller PS3 ones without having constant hand pain for the following 24 hours. Thankfully almost all games are designed for KB&M. I couldn't imagine gaming without it. I'd probably need to sleep with wrist braces if I was a console gamer.

To be fair Hitman 3 has the worst key mapping I have ever seen. Why the hell it needs 7 different keys just for interact? Q for silent attack, E for general interaction, F for pickup an item, B for drag a body, switch to Q again for hide a body, X for climb and space for jump down. Silent attack should just use LMB and the rest should just be either E/F.
I really do hope who designed this key map would have a special place in hell for him. It’s so absurd that’s no way he wasn’t trolling.

It's almost as if K&M is objectively superior to controller for vast majority of games, unless the devs f it up.
If its hitman its the latter. Game feels like trash on controller. Stiffer than most ps2 games

For me it's easier to have all fingers at my disposal instead of doing 75% with just your thumbs. Plus, holding on to a small piece of plastic with both hands just feels wrong to me. I like being able to move my hands separately - and as a bonus my IRL reflexes get to affect gameplay on top of it.

This game is notioursly easier to aim on a mouse, there is like 0 aim assist on controller
Why in the world were she playing with controller in the first place? A controller has its place and a mouse and keyboard has its place. And this is not the place for a controller xD
I kind of get what she means. Shift for sprinting in particular makes my pinky finger cramp up so badly after a while, so I always appreciate it when games make it a toggle instead of having to hold it constantly. Or when they don't bother with a sprint button at all (god bless Doom)

Probably just a connection or switch that went bad since it seemed to be only specific button presses that stopped working.
Matters of taste. But I play almost everything with keyboard and mouse. Some bad (in terms of controls) PC ports are perhaps an exception.
How can Fauna be a controller gamer? MOBA with controller? She should be better at K&M. The power of PC.

Even though I can play with Keyboard and mouse, I hate doing so. I only do it if I have to... and those rare times where game companies make the pc port have abysmal camera movement speed and no options to speed it up.
