I just looked up the company and they didnt go through with the deal: JH: I have had a lot of great support from Touker but we decided to part ways and not go through with the investment. It was something that I started on my own and I really wanted to maintain control in steering the company in the direction I knew it should go! We have gained a huge amount of awareness from schools and our user base has grown almost 20 fold which is fantastic.
Yea, JH looked so reluctant in accepting the offer that I knew he wasn't going to go through with it. He was only accepting as if to make Touker happy.
Good to hear that he was able to grow the business without giving a big chunk of it away. I thought that 30-35% for £20,000 was WAY too much considering the company was already making £100k net. Assuming no further growth at all, Touker would get his money back in less than 1 year. Something along the lines of 10% would be fair.

Absolutely. Didn't the teacher lad say earlier on that he had something like 120,000 gross and 110,000 net the previous year? If that's right 35% of the business for £20,000 is a monumental rip off
Bro he wanted to be equal partners in the venture. If anything it was greedy of the teacher to ask for 25% and considering Touker dropped down to 30% was actually really generous considering the state (or lack of) the product / business. The only thing teacher did here was think about printing voice recognition to help in curriculum. Teacher had only a few schools in his book and if it was doing so well wouldn't have the trouble hiring a couple of developers to refine his software. Touker on the other hand has connections into all the major spots and was willing to work on the business hence the 50% offer. For 35% provides only an average incentive for him to actually get the product into all the major supply chains. It's like what do you want? Equal partnership and having the shark investor actually do half of the work for you *(so you have more time to teach)* Or 30% and having the shark investor adopt a more advisory role. I would've chosen the 50%. Sometimes you gotta make things interesting for the other person to get on board with your project. You don't make it interesting you're not getting as much involvement. If you're only giving 5% then don't expect to be treated anything more than a side revenue for the investor. That's assuming a fair and invested partnership. Which in this case it seemed to be so.

We had a discussion group here at home trying to figure out how we go to her being out. I can't watch any more of these disappointing twists in these show segments, so therefore, I'm out.
I'm a college prof, it took me over 24 hours to mark term projects for 1 tech class before xmas (only 12 group projects, 42 students). This would cut that down immensely, as commenting is absolutely the most time consuming part! My only issue is how good the voice recognition is, if its as good as shown, sign me up!
He seems to be doing well, although the website says they have since parted ways with Touker. But I think on this occasion Tej might have been right... voice apps are changing quickly and I wonder how long it will be before someone just makes an Alexa skill that can do this (if there isn't one already) especially now that Alexa can control a printer
I've used voice-to-text before (as software, or putting it into apps). I've also set up a label printer for someone with no prior knowledge, and that took literally less than 10mins. So both together would be really easy. It's just freaking text to a printer lol.
I can’t count how many times we spent half of our lessons at school with the teacher just trying to get the projector to work. I cannot imagine many who would easily set up a voice to text software and label printer but would be responsive if someone else did it and gave it to them ready to go! They sell sliced bread. We can all slice bread ourselves, we can all make our own clothes in theory, we can all in theory cook food but we still get sliced bread and buy clothes and get take outs. Sometimes convenience is worth paying for

Touker: "I'm going to make you an offer, and Jenny's not going to like it."
I watched Jenny go on about what she thought and then at the last minute shocked me with, "I'm Out". Utterly surprised. Blew me away. We had a discussion group here at home trying to figure out how we go to her being out. I can't watch any more of these disappointing twists in these show segments, so therefore, I'm out.
Liked this guy alot, such a inspire! Wish him all luck!
Jenny: "i slipped on the way here, im unlucky today, im out"
I'm a college prof, it took me over 24 hours to mark term projects for 1 tech class before xmas (only 12 group projects, 42 students). This would cut that down immensely, as commenting is absolutely the most time consuming part! My only issue is how good the voice recognition is, if its as good as shown, sign me up!
I'm so happy for this guy! It's so rare to see a case of success in this show.
In Windows 10 - you can turn on the voice recognition and dictate a document by voice already.
This is true, but you cannot instantly print this feedback while collecting detailed assessment data in a suitable form for teachers all in one go...
And plus with covid there are e-learning and remote learning using computers so at that point so the printing fuctionality is pretty useless...
Sometimes convenience is worth paying for
Jenny: "I love to drink lots of beer and then drunkenly shout and start fights. And for that reason, I'm lout".
As soon as he mentioned he was a teacher, Jenny went "I'm out"
I was rooting for my man all the way from the jump
Jenny:
Jenny: I'm out.
7:24 - 7:29 lolol James' body language when responding to Jenny was TOTALLY, "Thank you... I know."
The title is click bait and for that reason im out
*Intro music*
"These are the Dragons..."
Jenny: I'm out.
Well done Touker! Jenny and Tej always pull out after Deborah and Peter do. Who am I kidding...Jenny always pulls out. Touker plays by the beat of his own drum and has great sensibility.
I wouldn't pull out of Deborah. Always be in. Lol
Richard S yeh ok then...
I went to see a Doctor at the UCLH and the surgeon spoke into a device like this and I mentioned this DD and he said the device was called 'Dragon'👍
Jenny: you are extremely investable and have a very good business
Entrepreneur's mind: 😁
Jenny: and for that reason, im out
😂😂😂😂
Jenny dropped out of school with the reasoning: "I've already been in school for 11 years and now I don't have anything else to learn, and for that reason i'm out"
Jenny: i was a drop out at school, so therefore I'm out
*Bill Gates:* Here we have an operating system with a graphical user interface...
*Jenny:* I don't think one man in his garage is going to take things to the next level, and for that reason, I'm out.
Lol. Oh and Richard Branson started his career from a phonebox. Current net worth 3.6 billion :)
Damn this guy was on-point with his presentation. Confident and thorough pitch, and he knew his numbers pretty well. It's unfortunate that his product didn't live up to that hype. I'm really glad he accepted Touker's revised offer; also I hate the editor for cutting out the part where he mentioned his officers wtf
These are the politest put downs I've seen for a while
James: Hi dragons, my name is James.
Jenny: I got creampied by a James in college and for that reason, I'm out...
😂😂😂
love how the title so accurately represents the substance of the video
Jenny: Your beard reminds me of the back of my thigh. For that reason I'm out.
😂🤣😂
What a charming chap. Presented very well too
Entrepreneur: Voice goes into microphone
Label Make: Label starts to come out....
Jenny: I'm Out!!! First!!!
Easily the most ridiculous reason for Jenny declaring herself out yet lol...
Jenny: "Turns out my ancestors are German, and for that reason, I'm Kraut"
BizWorld yep that’s gold
Lol
Lollllllllll
