Beefalo taming isn’t that complex if you just wanna do it all things considered

I dont even own Dont starve or dont starve together and am still spending 16.18 minutes of my useless life listening to this man talking about how to grow a virtual crop I dont even own the game for. I do like the details of this being, indeed, a warped universe, and the plants grow in an unnatural and potentially comically. I found it funny when you’d grow a plant and you’d get your plant just resting on a leaf. Potatos, indeed, grow underground, but in this warped world they split like cotton.
Its pretty impressive how realistic the farming in DST is for a video game. Most dedicated farming games aren't this in depth, and while DST's farming isn't 100% to life its still got a shocking amount of detail put into it.
If you look at sdv, a game dedicated to farming (among other things) it has nowhere near the complexity and realism of don't starve. That is probably because sdv was not a game made for suffering
With this update, Klei has now allowed us to react the Irish potato famine, expect since I plan on using Wes to represent the Irish, it's no longer a bad thing.
as someone who studies agronomic sciences: I worry about DST devs' sanity. They replicated how crops works in real life with the nutrients each plant adds or takes from the soil (in a simplifed way yes, but it's there)... Did they do that intentionnaly? Did they do reasearches to understand how it works? Are they sleepying well?
Nah there’s just someone from Klei stuck in the Constant and he’s telling the game devs everything he sees so that they can make a simulator to rescue the stranded soul.

Hey! Here's some things I found out when I farmed in dst - you don't need wet and dry stuff for the composting bin, just put grass or extra seeds or acorns or twigs or rot or basically things stated there and it's good to go, I recommend grass if you have a grass farm or seeds if you have too many (me with corn) - if you have too many seeds of a certain plant and you already have a way to fertilize your compost-loving crops (or have crop combinations) then don't bother making giant plants (my opinion) cause youre just stuck with seeds, unless you're planning to use them on a bird farm
James: wes cannot talk to the plants and we thought he cannot get any more useless Just kill him and use his dead body for boneshards and bucket-o-poop. Win-win, he becomes useful and you get the joy to kill him as much as you want
Hi After watching lots of videos to learn the game I find your approach refreshing. Fed up of trawling through somebody playing for 99999 hours to learn what an item is makes a welcome change. Good on you buddy.
5:01 Keep in mind that Wendy, Wormwood, and perhaps Woodie’s Werebeaver form can turn that “amphibian nightmare” into an absolute PILE of frog legs with little effort. This is especially good for Wormwood, seeing as he already has farming perks for pretty much every step other than watering.
In case you’re wondering, those perks include not needing to ever hoe anything, faster tending time (I think it might be at least double), automatic tending when blooming, ability to craft compost wrap, and assessing what a plant needs without using the thulecite hat.
I think he still needs to use digamajigs, though, as you can’t use a watering can or fertilization on his wild crops. Though, maybe ice/water balloons/rain plus crop combos can still do that?

What I find funny is A) I used the composter without really knowing what it was for, and using it to fertilize any bushes or grass I need for my family’s world, and not having to find a beefalo herd to get the manure. And B) after watching this video, I started a new world to play with this and learn, and I got three giant potatoes without actually trying. @@Naxer2272 Well, a lot of people said it's dying back in late 2018, we didn't have updates to the base game in over a year, Klei was focused on events and skins, and lots of players abandoned the game.

Thanks, because of this video i moved out of my 1.7.10 Minecraft modpack, 300 mods very techheavy, and set up a 1.16 light pack with less than 50 mods with a focus on farming, better looking worlds and less techcluster. That means a lot to me, even if I am not sure how this is connected really.
