It might be important to address the starting angle of the disc too, whether annie, flat or hyzer. I use an annie putt from every distance. The further out I am, the higher and more annie I give it. It's dropping and flattening out on the way to the basket so I don't have to guess the width for hyzer putts. Every release is straight at the basket, just higher from further away. Misses don't go far. To do this putt, offset your rear foot back from the centerline to the basket which will put your throwing shoulder more towards the basket and tip the outside edge of the disc up, imagine aiming towards the high left of the basket. It's deadly
Like a very unique variant I've seen is Gannon Buhr's step putt. He almost completes a full step before he putts, letting go of the disc *just* before his front leg falls ahead of his mini/lie. It covers so much distance to the point it might as well be a step ahead of your lie, but mess the timing up just a little and boom, foot fault city.
This is hilarious to me, since he also can just putt from 40 without even moving his legs. The guy has nasty snap to his putts when he wants to, since he broke his leg a few years ago and all he could do was putt standing on crutches for a while.
Don't forget about Matt Bell bending up his putter and throwing it like a baseball. Also, there's a horseshoe putt where you pull the disc back outside of your legs, like throwing a horseshoe (hence the name). I believe Ricky did it once on video, but I couldn't find it.
Technically the PDGA considers folding up putters an illegal throw because it violates the rule about modifying the disc’s flight characteristics. It’s probably best not to include that one so people don’t try it and get called for a penalty
Ken Climo used a straddle putt, but his release point was pretty consistent. In the footage of Kevin Jones, he released it a little off center to get more spin and it wasn't accurate.
I was told Paul was one of the last true spin putters........you're saying he's a push putter? I mean Ricky definitely is, but I believe it was Jomez or something saying he was one of the last true spin putters.

I would say Simon Lizotte is one of the last true spin putters. I’ve always seen Paul as a mix btw push and spin.
Both Paul and eagle are more "spush" putters albeit in different ways. Simon is a true spin putter.
