I remember when Simon first came on the scene, we were all like “who is this German kid” he was like playing a different game than everyone else with his own rules. I really hope his injuries haven’t brought his career to a plateau, because I’ve always wanted to see Simon with some world championships under his belt.
I think the rest of his life has now caught up. With a partner and child I just don't think he has the drive to tour all season and to practice enough to fight for the top spot anymore. I hope I'm proven wrong though
@@shitbird9429 Then he won the next event at Portland open, and finished just a stroke or two behind at the Preserve this weekend. He is argualy playing his best disc golf ever after his injury and toning down the full sends a bit....
Simon's my favorite and got his signature Angry Ape bag as well. He might not win every week or have multiple world titles, but his character, charisma, and just enjoys the game of disc golf is what I enjoy about him.
16:00 he is taking the entire hole out of play. He not only throws past the green but doesn’t lose his disc and has a birdie putt back from out of bounds 20 feet away and doesn’t have to place his first shot. He just blasts it. Brilliant play.
Simon is my favorite disc golfer and its not even close he has the best disposition of all disc golfers and he can out throw all the other players. His putting is better than its ever been putting is key and Simon is one of the best.
Simon is the goat of trick shot!!Most spectacular player no doubt And that drive on hole 7 at hillcrest was the best that hole has ever seen or will ever seen 😅 to bad he didnt make that first putt
I haven’t watched the entire video yet so it might be in here but you’ve got to watch any coverage from Jonesboro that he’s on. 2017 or 2018 he threw a roller on an easy forehand hole to prove how bad of a hole it was. Hole 11 he ran up on the side of the tee and threw down a totally different hole’s fairway. He single handedly caused the course to be changed more than anyone 😂. I was born and raised here so discside is my home course. I’ve been to every tour stop here and know the owner very well so I know all the lore 😂
I feel like for Simons sake I should say him and David returned to NV a few years later. They both got a couple over 1000' but David just got the better line, not like he beat simon by 400ft.
They definitely don't throw into a head wind when throwing for distance for world records. Most definitely a cross tail wind. 💯🤙🏽🥏⛓️ Also a better question would have been, What disc do you throw when "your" throwing into a head wind instead of how far can you throw into a head wind? 🧐🧐 Simon: Youuuuu suck. "SORRY" But it's true. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thankfully this comment aged like milk 😂

There is simply nobody more entertaining to watch playing, he never minds giving the fans what they want to see.
Simon is far and away my favorite disc golfer. Been enjoying him for ages way back on SpinTV

Parking a 700+ hole is the most Simon thing ever
1:37 I wouldn't necessarily call it easy to make it look that smooth and especially cath it with more than 1 spin 😳
Great vid! They get better and better! And yes, 157 is correct. It was a blizzard disc
Go watch japan open light weight only tournament
@@alxx26 I would turn over so many disc at light weight only event 😆
Also…tail wind. Not head wind
So Simon did the holy shot before the holy shot was even a thing.
Simon and Hammes are two of my favortie players 💯. Anyway great video!
“YOU SUCK” was the most relatable
I think my favourite Simon line is Jonesboro, where he goes like 90 degrees to the left and parks it 😂
If memory server right he didn't park it, just got a much easier second shot. The next year they made it out of bounds (or introduced a mando?) ;)
Simon is the goat of trick shot!!Most spectacular player no doubt

His best moments are on his channel. Simon is an awesome personality who makes great content.
Fantastic video…Simon is one of my favorite players.
great vid!!
His performance at 2023 DGLO was phenomenal.
Simon is so awesome!!

simon is a legend!
Yeah what a solid video ...you forgot that par 4 in the woods that he parked ....tight fairway with OB by the basket....think it was 5-600+ ft
i have been into discgolf for a few years (at least 2) posting this in 2022 and not hearing of him what fan of the sport you are
Love Simon
Just won the OTB open in spectacular fashion
Don’t forget the P2 shot on hole 18 of Waco!
super fun dude to play a round with
Simon is definitely in the hof if that’s actually a thing in disc golf.
Much style, few victories.
No 800 foot roller in Emporia?
is this not him doing the voice over?

But it's true.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the Mad Scientist Again...
Bubba Watson of disc golf. Not personality, just game
The typing needs to get better .
Imagine if Simon cared more about winning tournaments than he did about showing off.
How can you not love the guy. Also revolver trick shot. Ya super easy bro
Simon has thrown over 1000 feet. Do your research.
...
I guess you've never played hole 17 at Waco. There's nothing to like about it!! That hole will brutalize you
