I'm not a beginner but I tend to over the years lose a skill and forget a certain step in the motions, whether it be putting or driving. I haven't really played in a few years and my last games didn't feel the best. after starting back up and re applying some of the things I've relearned I feel confidence again and I feel more confidence after watching a couple videos on your channel, filling in some gaps.
The beginning of this video is by far the most helpful putting fundamentals I have ver seen, the details about elbow and shoulder stuff was so so helpful;!
As a beginner, I have no idea who Paul or Billy or whatever the names you mentioned in this video are. But otherwise, great video. It was really helpful.
I never sat down to watch a tutorial like this because I always got putting form/technique from watching pro coverage. I practice putting 5/7 days a week (actually playing the other 2 days) and get anywhere from 75-200 reps/day, and, while I know I’ve gotten better, I’m still very inconsistent. But I’ve always assumed that you use your wrist to generate the spin, and I learned from this video that isn’t the case. I’m really thinking fixing this will make my putt way more consistent, and I can’t wait to get home and try it.
Great video Hunter! I have an issue putting and I cant figure it out. But your advice on never breaking the wrist is what stood out. I also put you in slow motion and I noticed the big push you have with the forward body movement way before you start your arm motion forward. Thanks again!!!!
I'm just getting back into Disc golf after an 8 year break and I'm glad for these breakdowns and instructional videos that I really didn't have access to before
Your drill #1 with two putters is very similar to my drill. I start at 15' and move back about 5' each time I make both or forward when I miss both. I go back to 45'. If I make it to 45' then I go until I either make both or miss both. Once that happens I go back to 15' and change up my stance (If I was doing staggered I switch to straddle for instance or pretend I'm putting around something). Puttz app looks nice. I'm also a spush putter. I've always used overstable putters but have recently switched to more understable because they fly straighter longer so I can throw straighter at the basket from longer distances (that's the theory anyway)
Putt Miester is a really good app. You can do all the things he mentioned but you can also add tags to your round, like headwind, push putt, new disc etc.
Thanks I really need to improve my putting game. I have been playing for 2 years. I am the Happy Gilmore of disc golf now. I am constantly landing 20 feet from the basket. And only making 1 out of 100 birdie attempts LOL. Ending up being a par......
I'm getting frustrated with how incosistant my putt is, I just learned to "spin" putt and was using my wrist. I'm making more than I was before but I know something is off because I will throw quit a few wild shots. I'm going to try this tip and lock my wrist...hopefully that will help with my wild misses left and right. Thanks for the info.
1) Only Putt with Challengers (CryZtal or ZFlex). 2) Repeat Step 1 Whichever style one chooses, recommend start with a distance you know you can make consistently-- 100% to start. After 20-40 or so. Take a step back. And repeat.
Can you guys feature Ezra Aderhold? He just put out one of the best introductory videos I've ever seen and think a collaboration is definitely warranted
If I’m “shaking hands with the basket” in the correct spot, but my putt is still low as if I was not, what is causing that? Feeling very hard to hit chains! Like I’m not getting any power towards the basket.
New intro is great, but the slashing and bang noise before it, when Hunter us talking.. not so much. Love the sound effecr, but not when it drowns out speaking.

Hey ik you!😅 we just played in the same group at leagues
I agree about the details about elbow stuff!
Great clarification on the release motion of the wrist, or lack there of. This was missing in a lot of the other putting videos out there

I've watched everyone's putting tutorials. Paul, Ricky, Eagle, Clemons, Danny Lyndal, everybody. This one has by far helped me the most. Thank you.

Did it work
Thanks for the beginner’s tips. Very helpful.👍🏻
Great breakdown. Thanks!
Excellent video! You laid that out well and I’m starting that routine today! Thanks!
Best putting walkthrough I've found

Amen! 12 year hiatus for this guy
@@mattdavidson535 Welcome back things are a bit different nowadays
5 mins into this and I'm learning some great stuff here! Thank you
You can use a piece of tape on the chain also, I use blue painters tape, BTW I use it on the practice basket not the course baskets lol
This was such an informative video. Thank you!!
Awesome love these videos! Could you guys do one on tips for disc golfing in the woods?
Disc down and master hyzer flip
Love the new intro!
not very new is it?
Always super good. Appreciated man
Thanks for the tip. Will you be addressing step putting some time?
Super helpful. Thanks

Great Stuff Guys!!!
I'll definitely be using these...still new to the game and putting is my least consistent skill

Great insight, thanks for this!
Great putting intro. Thanks for making this. Surprised you didn’t mention UDisc’s practice putting feature for circle 1 and circle 2 practice.

Perfect video
How about a pice of tape on the chain where to focus?

do you have a video on follow through?
What’s the puttz link? Did I miss it in the description
I forgot to put it there originally, but it should be in there now!
@@FoundationDG thanks much!
Good stuff. Shot choice would be a nice video

I love these videos, but the intro is CRAZY LOUD... If you could edit it down a tad. But this series is so helpful! Thank you!
Why do you see some people like Simon flip his hand almost upside down when he spin puts? His palm is facing down rather than sideways
Singular chain 🤯
When you coming up to The Adirondacks for a course? we have some beautiful challenging course up here!!! Would like to show you the reigns up here!!!!
Is it red or orange. I’m questioning everything.
Paul and Ricky both have their pointer fingers on the outside. Good video though.
Straddle putt
Good video, but might want to turn off auto focus next time...
My dad is turbo putting everything
Haha you always mess putts during your videos.
Hahaha.
Please do video on aim with foot work

Too many in video advertisements 😮
no
You never talked about a forehand putt. Lol
Meters?! Am I putting in the U.K.?! There better be a conversion table included....
