I just wanna add to the character invention point; Markiplier did this. Watch the Distractible episode about confidence cause he talks about it. Character invention isn't a lack of authenticity, it's just a different side of you. Don't look at it as acting or lying, look at it as meeting a part of yourself you always had but never saw before. Yes it's a character, yes it's different from your everyday self, yes it can shield you from personal attacks because it's a character but it's still you, it's still authentic. The audience doesn't need your everyday self, they need the you you're most proud of, the you who isn't afraid of anything.

I love that part about inventing a character. I tried it without even realizing. My channel is known for one particular kind of content, but the world has moved on and it's time for someting new. Rather than start from scratch, I had the idea to create a character and run with it like a wrestling storyline where this character has hacked my channel and started uploading his videos there to try to capture the audience I built doing the previous style of videos. I didn't give a name to the character, I just pretended it wasn't me there. It worked perfectly to diminish the fear and anxiety of the moment. Now I don't have to use this strategy anymore, so in my case the "Fake it until you make it " worked very well.

The whole thing about character invention was dynamite. This is by far one of the best "how to UA-cam videos" I have seen. You hit the target audience just right. In reality are all in some ways dysfunctional beings but we need to take advantage of it and turn it into a winning successful dream.❤

This was legit FIRE - I think this might be your best video yet - I laughed from start to finish hahaha legend!! Also the Beyonce reference was really insightful, I'd never heard that before but definitely gonna try that in my street vlogs, especially on days when I feel like an "impostor" and don't wanna deal with anyone!
