    It's weird though - you can be quite certain you're an INFJ (ie. everything checks out - secondary functions, repeatedly getting INFJ in Myers-Briggs tests, etc) and yet still wonder "am I really an INFJ or am I answering these questions and acting/behaving based off an idealised version that I have of myself?" That in itself may be a clue you are indeed an INFJ, especially if you get rather worried after the thought... but how can you ever be truly sure? God, I love overthinking. :P
    I'm rambling even more now, but I guess thinking is good insofar as it gives you a base from which sometimes those introverted intuition moments can spring. But if you try to use that thinking again to rationalize the ''idea'' that came from the introverted intuition then there's a very good chance you may go mad! :P
    Guess it all comes down to choice then.

I always get all the information to confirm I actually am one, because I am scared of mistyping myself. When I know I am certain, a couple of months go by and I begin to question again. It's an evil circle. Happens again, and again, and again.

      Sooo true. I did the test so many times in different versions that I lost count. And still - sometimes I ask myself: Am I really an INFJ? I'm very glad, that here in Europe there's not the same hype on "being an INFJ" like it seems to be in the US. I would be happy being an INFP or ENFJ as well - the other types that are closest to me. But none nails it so much as INFJ. In Europe we might be less rare. I'm sure it's true for the place I live, cause our University has some courses that draw idealist types to our little town. Environmental and cultural sciences. So I know quite a lot INFJs here.

    INFJ’s act like Extroverts big time yet need alone time. They can remember something by looking at something and having this weird connection with that thing that makes them remember what they were trying to think about. Really hard to explain in words. We also think in symbols that are unique to the individual. Being Inferior Se doesn’t mean we bump into walls or that we’re clumsy, that’s a myth. After a long time of studying and some help from others like SaraMBTI I’m certain and comfortable being an INFJ, I was always Ni dom and Fe aux in every function test the internet had to offer.

      Thats a description that has me doubting sometimes, I cant even pretend to be an extrovert, never been mistaken as one either. I can take lead of a situation if I have to, but even then its still in a rathee introverted style.

    • @AImighty
      @AImighty 5 років тому +8

      Guinea Cat INFJ’s have Aux Fe so, naturally (if they’re healthy), will come off as extroverts most of the time. I get mistaken for one all the time and most videos of INFJ’s, if you notice they seem very upbeat and chatty due to their Fe. So they look like they’re extroverted. I thought I was INFP at one time but after examining a few that I know in real life I know I’m not one, they’re heavily reserved and quiet and hate social interactions. A good way to know if you’re a Ni dom is see how you are when you’re stressed. Do you become overly critical and cynical of people? When you’re extremely stressed do you start over doing things? Buy expensive stuff? Eat more? Work out more? Sex more? Overindulge? Are you more prone to Anxiety or Depression? Also INFJ’s, while they are Judgers, have a dominant perceiving function so sometimes they can come off as gatherers/perceivers if they use Ni too much. It’s honestly really easy to tell if you’re an INFJ or not if you examine yourself closely.

    • @GuineaCat12
      @GuineaCat12 5 років тому +2

      I definitely dont handle things in a way an extrovert would, but I dont handle things in a way that many of the Fi users do either. I can be pleasent and communicate without being extroverted about it,..I use actions to communicate more so than words in my day to day life, but when needed I can talk. At the dance studio I go to, my dance teacher calls me the stealth apprentice, I can lead without being loud..If that made any sense.
      But I dont have as much doubt about my type than I used to.

Also I discovered MBTI with my son (INFP), so while we were doing the test, and the results, he was going "that's you" or "you do that". Overthinking it 100% I feel like the test is probably not very reliable and I know there are other tests on line I could try. But I’m actually scared to because I don’t want the result to be different and make me even more confused. Because I’ve seen videos about the INFJ and it makes sense to me. I don’t know why I’m so worried. I don’t even know if being certain what my personality type is will really help me improve my life. What are the benefits of knowing and being able to understand? • @Koffent
      @Koffent 5 років тому +8

      I've been taking these tests for decades. It interest me to see how accurate a test could judge me. I've always gotten INFJ on every test except 1. I got ISTP, but the description seemed way off. I looked up several ISTP profiles, videos, etc. and none of it made sense to me at all. I still take any test I happen to come across, and sometimes I do get a little anxious that I may have been mistyping myself for years.
      The reality is that the test doesn't matter. I've found a lot of information on issues I've felt were things nobody could understand. I found a community of people who are like me. To some extent I've found acceptance. All my little quirks that at times I've felt ashamed of didn't have as much of an impact on me. My difficulty communicating didn't make me feel stupid anymore. My behavior changing from person to person felt less like a mask. There are countless things I've learned about myself, things I've come to terms with, and things I can now accept as simply being me. In a weird way I finally feel understood. That's how the MBTI tests help. They show you that you're not as weird, misunderstood as you thought you were or that you don't have some undiagnosed mental disease. From there you grow. You'll find people going through the same things that once drove you crazy, and listen to how they live with it.
      Hopefully this gets to you, and you think about this. Remember we're all here going through the same thing if you need the help. Apologies if that was a bit long winded.

      It's funny because I'm constantly reading INFJs complain that they don't fit in anywhere but then turn around and complain that they fit in everywhere. INFJs complain a lot for having so many people that want to be their friends. You guys complain so damn much on every single MBTI video. Even on videos not about INFJs you're complaining that you're too deep, too friendly, too unique, too social, and too damn special. Get over yourselves, please. Like good god, INFJs are everywhere feeling sorry for themselves. "Boohoo someone tried to be my friend today and I didn't have the heart to tell them that I have no more open friend slots." Jesus christ...
      You're that guy that walks into a party and everyone immediately starts gushing over you. Then, for no reason, you start crying that nobody likes you literally as everyone flocks to make you feel better. People tell you how special you are, you're like, "I know but it's just so hard to be *this* special. I mean, how would you feel if you were a magical unicorn?" Everyone's like, "oh I bet it's super hard being the most respected and desirable personality. How do you do it?"

    Spot on Ren-The order of the function stack is something that had me second guessing as to whether my Fe is strong enough to identify as an INFJ. In a practical sense, I know an INFP professionally who seems to be very similar to me on the outside, probably much more so than anyone else that I know, but there are some differences. I seem to be more logical, they're more emotional and also infinitely more clumsy lol (lack of Se). It's hard to say because I don't know them well personally. I live for those Aha moments, and there is always some question or idea that's floating in the back of my mind that Ni is playing with in my subconscious. I flip flop between INTJ and INFJ depending on the environment I'm in. Home, relaxed, or if others are stressing out then I'm there as the INFJ for them, and you know I really hate it. It's great that someone is the sounding board for reason and moderation but yeesh... why me? I think this is the reason some INFJs don't want to be this, it's hard, constantly draining.
    On the other hand, when I'm working on a project or interested in something (sciences, math etc) I'll block out all those feelings and just be the nerd who the world would burn down around them and they still would be saying... just a moment... almost done.. two days later.... That's not good either, but I'm happier in that place than dealing with and explaining the world's troubles to those who really just want someone to listen to them and them alone.

    Regardless of the the info above I spend most of my time alone so that I can find answers to my thoughts. I am constantly researching, looking, questioning...etc.

    I think I'm one of those INFJs whose Fe is not as developed as it could have been due to circumstances growing up. Thru grade school from 2nd to 5th grade, I didnt go out for recess or participate in gym class due to health reasons. Often missed a third of the school year but still received top grades. I spent my time reading a lot during recess, gym class, and at home. So I think my introverted functions (Ni-Ti) are much more developed than Fe & Se. I'm Fe focused but probably not as smooth especially in groups as some Fe users who are IxFJs but may look like ExFJs. My daughter on the other hand is more FeSe than me. She has been participating in group activities including sports since a young age. She wasnt much of a reader when younger but liked it more as she became older. Her dad is ISTP and also helped develop her Se. I think she is more well rounded but not as strong in Ti as I am. She has very good Ni instincts and her Fe tends to draw people into her. She does more Se activities than I do. I think upbringing can make a difference within types.

      I think I also have Fe a bit underdeveloped, because I used to be very introverted, and hence probably used Ni-Ti all the time. I used to overthink everything and I think now I understand better why that never worked out.

    Great video!
    I believe I am Ni dom, mostly through verification of the cognitive function tests and my use of intuition being very focused, thematic, and "esoteric". However, I have typed as ENFP, ENTP, INTP, INFP, and INTJ prior when I was a teenager up until now. I found it very hard to type myself because my behavior shifts depending on who I'm dealing with. I definitely love the arts like an Fi dominant, but I also have an interest in hard science, debating politics, and philosophy like a Ti dom. However, I find my inner flowstate when I'm dreaming up worlds and ideas, and I see through longterm creative projects.
    What you said here about the functional stack makes total sense, and I'm glad you brought up about INFP vs. INFJ at the end. Those are two types that get mixed up a lot, despite having different archetypal patterns.

    I read recently that there are actually 32 sub-types of infj. Which explains the spectrum. Which also explains why sometimes infjs don't like each other. Having said that, being infj isn't all rainbows and unicorns. First time I took Myers Briggs I was infj. Second time I took it, it was infp. But then something happened and I took the test again and it turned out infj. And it resonates better.

    I found out about the MBTI and that I was an INFJ by accident. I was watchings videos about enneagram type 5 which is my enneagram type and I ran into a video that popped up on my screen about the INFJ randomly.
    I just decided to watch the video for some reason. Mind you I didn’t even know about the MBTl. From the video I realised that I wasn’t crazy. I always thought I was weird because I usually didn’t fit in and it was very difficult to find someone like me. But after I discovered the MBTI was when I realised I wasn’t alone and wasn’t weird or crazy. Especially after going through the comments section 😊.
    Being an INFJ is very difficult. Your mind is constantly creating different permutations to things that’s happening, happened or about to happen in your life. Some times I feel my head might explode especially cuz I’m also an enneagram type 5 w 4. It’s the constant functioning of your mind, constantly connecting dots. It’s crazy. It is very difficult being an INFJ type 5.

    again this is helpful in so many ways!! I am indeed always doubting, sometimes I think I know what type I am, but than I get some new information about functions and types and again asking questions and doubting, and seeing other combination possible
    Also there is so much to respond and ask, I would better sit down with pen and paper and take an interview and make sure I get all your function insights;)
    actually my knowledge about the different funktions is not deep enough to know for sure. I am still limited, a lot of the doubt is because of that. With better neutral information it probably would be a lot easier.
    I am still looking for a book that discribes it well so I have like a sure fundament to rely on.
    I have a few very old books but they do not go deeper into the different functions. It begins with the test and it ends with the different type descriptions. Some interesting books are also sold out often. any sugestions are very welcome
    The video with your brother was very insightfull for me, I think I was able to see the difference between Fi 1rst and Fe 2cnd, that was interesting, you where frequently checking out if everything was oke (or in harmony) with the camera, for the viewers, and supporting your brother. and Fi was inwardly searching for personal truth.
    I think also some you tubers typing themselves as infj are Infp, not that of matters only for me to understand the different types it is sometimes a somewhat confusing

      You're right to say that many INFJs are actually INFPs. This doesn't help... Sometimes I see people commenting on a video by an INFJ who is actually ENFP or INFP, saying: "I identify with this person so much" - which probably means that they are xNFPs identifying with xNFPs... It can all be a pretty confusing maze to sort out. What is your feeling at the moment regarding your type? Feel free to suggest a topic for me to make a video on, I'm looking out.

    In other words, if you are a recluse that loves and hates people at the same time, you do not keep in contact with your friends and sometimes even family. If you are that kind of a person who tends to overanalyse everything, particularly you can't abstain yourself from self-analysing, and have your own peculiar sets of values, even though most of the times you prefer to take decisions with your heart, based on feelings and intuition, often sacrificing your wellbeing for the sake of others but at the same time resenting people for not willing/being able to reciprocate...If you are drawn towards psychology, mysticism, music, arts, history, languages but also sciences, you like to surround yourself with nice stuff, without necessarily being materialistic, you are always dissatisfied and striving for self-improvement and you are neat and organized and always need structure in your life, but at the same time you are a bloody procrastinator, well, then have no doubts that YOU ARE a true INFJ! :))))) Did I also mention a brilliant sense of humour ?

    I have personally been struggling with this for the last 2+ months, and it reached almost fever pitch in last 2 weeks when I finally conceded there was a real possibility I am mistyped (I was fighting it quite a bit in the beginning).
    For me, the biggest confusion was between Ni and Fi.
    I thought I was Fi dom for the longest time because I would judge people. Why did they do this or that? Don't they realise this or that?
    I would describe myself as a person who lives in their head. Always buried in some research or other, then mulling over ideas before often settling comfortably into a conclusion or sometimes a belief.
    For the longest time, I thought this was Fi-Ne. Early in the new year, it smacked me in the face that this might well be the infamous Ni-Ti.
    Another aspect that I was fighting was Fe. I have always had a strong sense of self, and knew what I knew, believed what I believed, despite what anyone would tell me. So I always considered my Fe very weak. But Fe also manifests in other ways. I enjoy teaching and guiding people, but am often not the most 'favourite coach' because I make them think. So that's actually my Fe. And my judging others (why they do this /that) is my Fi critic.
    I was recently typed INFJ by a type community. I will not say I'm not entirely convinced, because I do feel it makes sense, but will adopt a wait & see and try to learn more in the meantime. It's been quite a jarring self-discovery journey :)

    I've taken a good number of online MBTI tests from various sources over the course of the last year or so (repeated the same test a couple of times, tried others on different sites) and have so far tested as every type on the NiFe spectrum (INFJ, INFP, ENFJ, ENFP), though most consistently as INFJ with ENFJ as the second most prevalent outcome and ENFP as the third.
    Looking into the cognitive functions separately and how I act in day-to-day situations, the role of each function and its place in my cognitive stack became clearer though and revealed what I perceive as my "true" archetype - and it was definitely very INFJ'ish more than ENFJ'ish. For that reason I consider myself an INFJ with somewhat strong tendencies towards ENFJ'ness or what might be considered an "extraverted, people oriented INFJ" if there is such a thing.
    Hope that makes sense?

      @@RensRoom Huh, interesting. I mean INFJs are the most extraverted of the introverts, so it makes a lot of sense, that some of us would be more sociable and outgoing.
      I have looked into my Enneagram type, though not as extensively as my MBTI type. I have taken the same Enneagram test with "Instinctual variant" about four times (www.eclecticenergies.com), but with different results each time.
      I've tested as 9w1 (sp) (right after testing as INFJ), 1w2 (so) (after testing ENFJ), 1w9 (so) (after testing INFJ) and just now 3w2 (sp) with type 1 (so) (after testing ENFJ) as the second most likely type
      Based off of those results and the description of the types, I'm thinking I might be Enneagram 2, though I was previously leaning towards thinking I was 9w1. I often go out of my way to help people and feel great when being allowed to do so and 2s apparently often mistype as both 9s and 1s. Being a 2 would explain why both 1 and 9 pops up as primary results and wings as well as 2.
      On the other hand, I also identify quite strongly with both 9 and 1 sooo... 2w1w9 (so)? =]
      It's interesting how the results of the two personality type paradigms seem to match up though - especially when the tests are taken back to back. What is your experience with the Enneagram?

I'm not one to sit and get defensive about a type because I think that is just silly but I would say I think I am an INFJ since I get into that Ni-Ti loop so very frequently and if I don't use my Fe for a long time I end up getting into that Fi and get all depressed and existential. Plus the whole 'information addiction' where I'll decide to look up one thing and more things will start to pop up and I end up wanting to inspect every single thing seperately which leads me to getting into this rabbit hole of information and a need to "figure it out" but I guess that never happens because I never seem to be fully satisfied no matter how much information I collect.

I can come up with topics from politics, philosophy, religion, psychology, the education system and why the UN is totally screwed up to why I have to deal with snowflakes who take everything as "thus sayeth the Lord' (meaning their lecturer or teacher). Everything is connected to everything. Ne (my son and twin brother are INFPs for eg), are explorers but don't dive as deep. INFJ goes on for years even and still weighs the options of how things work. One thing I do know (having been an ex astrologer and new ager), I am an ABSOLUTIST. There is ONLY ONE TRUTH and not "your truth", "my truth". It doesn't even make sense. If one doesn't believe in gravity, be my guest, but try flying without a parachute. TRUTH IS TRUTH. For INFJ, is to find that truth and after days, weeks, years, INFJ gets lightbulb flash - THIS IS WHAT IT IS. I used to think of possibly being an INTJ because I intellectualize so much - but that Fe takes that out of the equation. STILL INTROVERTED INTUITION is something I barely understand but ONLY understand! The more complicated it is, the more yummy it is for me! God bless

      Btw, INFJ vs INFP (my son and my twin brother - so I know them as well as can be expected - probably more). INFP dominant function is Fi. As sensitive as they are and as much as I love them, it's all about "how it affects them" versus Fe "how it affects others". INFJ's "Fi" is their critical function. And are we critical - of OURSELVES. Its an unconscious shitty place to be for INFJ. My son/brother however, have no qualms exerting their Fi. It may sometimes come across as selfish at times (though they are so thoughtful). However, I envy it at times. If I try it, I brutalise myself - not good!

    Since the time I got to know about this infj type, I feel relieved because it's like I finally know where I belong...but at the same time, I am not certain, although I don't want it to be the other way because then I'll feel lost again... There are a lot of reasons like the authenticity of the tests, I am not sure if I answer the questions based on what I really think or if they are somewhat influenced by what I think an itnj would think...and what are the chances of me being an itnj when there are only 2-3% of the same in the whole world and the biggest of all is that it's all about human brain and behavior...so I can't be completely sure about its characteristics...that's the word I guess...anyway, there may be more reasons which I am not aware of or they are in my subconscious mind. Sooo yeah... that kind of mess goes around in my head...

    I've been wondering if I'm really an INFJ. I'm 95% sure. But I don't know what other types I could be. The MBTI is convoluted in my opinion. Maybe that's why I'm and so many are confused. LOL :-) Awesome content. "Think in terms of patterns'. - Thank you.

    I spent the longest time thinking I was INFP until I got my best friend to read about the functions and he told me INFJ fit me like a glove. Ni-Fe-Ti specifically. I couldn’t argue with his reasoning but I still doubt it sometimes. INFJs are described as knowers and I’m too indecisive and questioning to fit that description. I struggle to stay on one path and that seems the antithesis of INFJ.

    The more you understand about this subject he more insight you can get into personality types. Types not naturally as good at understanding personality, who are usually dismissive and disinterested as well, are bound to not see how it can work. Disinterest is actually a self fulfilling prophecy wrt assessing the validity of MBTI. Those people are only likely to accept the subject when it has been accepted by academia as factually valid, if this is ever possible.

    Ive been binge watching MBTI videos for days just trying to solidify that I am in fact an INFJ, but what trips me up, is that some claim that your first and fourth functions are invisible to you, and that people often type themselves upside down because of that peacocking defense mechanism. I’m trying sooo hard to be impartial, but am I truly being unbiased? I relate so hard to INFJs here on UA-cam, and sometimes it’s almost like y’all are explaining me better than I can explain myself, or that you’re reading my journal! But yet, I’m still second guessing. What do you think about these ideas that supposedly lead to mistyping and how can we best side-step them?

      @Allas No problem, don't sweat it! I've found that the root of most conflict is misunderstanding. I would agree that I am not the most "grounded" when it comes to my thoughts and imagination. This is not about this video. I just have a couple of questions. When I first took Myers-Briggs, I scored INFP, but P/J were about even if I remember right. In another personality test that used colors, I was also not clearly one thing or another in one of the measures. Anyway, in a more recent Myers-Briggs test I was INFJ. So one question is why this might have happened. The other question is possibly silly, but I wonder if any INFJs have reported being overly sensitive to music. It may just be some other aspect of my personality, but while I like music and am somewhat musical, I often avoid music because it changes or affects my mood. I don't like the external influence on my feelings. I also have a tendency to fall asleep to music in concerts or at movies. It's irritating. That may be really silly and unrelated to being INFJ, but I wondered if anyone else had reported this and if it might be part of the personality type. Thanks. I really enjoy your videos, which I have only just found.

    I took a while choosing between INFJ, INFP and INTJ. I really had a problem because for a J, I am not that organized. (That might be misleading for INFJs taking the test and starting to learn MBTI because most J-type descriptions say that they are organized.) What helped was weighing my own Ni vs Ne, Fi vs Fe.
    Meeting INFPs, ENFPs, ENTPs and INTPs helped highlight the differences between Ne/Ni and Fe/Fi. We generate possibilities but not as well (or rather as much) as those other types. Our bias is always filtering all the possibilities to one or two probabilities. That's what made me decide I value Ni more. Fe/Fi use in comparison to someone who is INFP also made me realize I can't be INTJ and made me decide I'm not INFP once and for all.
    I have a question though, socionics says we have strong Fi. What do you think about that?

    • @chasingtheunknown3763

      I frequent online FB groups. As much as I laud myself from being a good idea generator, I was able to see the stark difference between my type of intution to those of Ne dom/aux. They are very random. Like it amazes how they can think about things I don't give any attention to. They are the sources of random shower thoughts. Most are totally ridiculous but gems hidden within make my jaw drop. Lol. My Ni is interested in understanding the world. It's like coming up with my own TOE which means lots of information will be filtered out and only meaningful ones remain.
      I can see the strength of Fi in me. I was mistyped as an INFP first and then settled for ENFP for years. I hated Fe too but as I become healthier, Fi is something that comes to me when I'm alone. I value it but I aim for Fe and I am under its power.

    • @vierblith4150
      @vierblith4150 5 років тому +4

      @@chasingtheunknown3763 I agree with random shower thoughts. An INFP I know asked "What is your favorite fan setting?" I think most of the random things we think about revolve around our Ni subjective interests so they're still more limited.
      I also see strong Fi in me but mostly when I'm alone and when the decision doesn't affect anyone else. Fe intention wins out even when the value-based decision feels very Fi. Like "I will choose this for myself because this will affect others as well in the long run."

    • @vierblith4150
      @vierblith4150 5 років тому +2

      @@laraoneal7284 Oh, I identify as an INFJ. I rather think it's Ni ideations and harmony with people that INFJs organize rather than the actual physical environment (which I think is more SJ). If you're choosing between INFP and INFJ, then it's Fi/Fe then Ni/Ne that you have to look at more.
      I saw the big difference between my INFP friend and I over one situation that struck me as a very Fi/Fe thing. So in this situation, basically, I had to reschedule a flight home so I could join a class that a friend of mine really needed. If I hadn't joined the class, it would have been dissolved and his graduation would have been delayed. So I kind of said eventually "Ahhh, I spent so much on the rebooking." My INFP friend said: "That's because you chose him (over yourself)."
      I wouldn't call Fi selfish, but rather it is non-compromising of its desires and values and sees it as good for everyone if everyone chose Fi priorities. Fe on the other hand would prioritize what benefits a group sometimes to the point of compromising the self.
      So I guess with which do you identify more?

    • @RensRoom
      @RensRoom  5 років тому

      Hi vierblith, what you said about the difference with your INFP friend is very interesting. I'm personally quite "selfish" when it comes to these things - I don't compromise that much, and yet I'm pretty confident that I'm an Fe user. (I'm a type 4, though). Ultimately I see it not so much as a group vs self thing, but more as a: does one introvert their emotions or extrovert them? In the same way that an Ne user displays their ideation for all to see, we tend to display our emotions, more than Fi users do, and more than we ourselves display our ideation.
      As for strong Fi in INFJs: yeah, I see that quite often. I don't think it can be stronger than the Fe, though.

      @@RensRoom Oh dear, my question was supposed to be under your recent video about sensing types compatible with INFJs. Dear old YT had already moved on to one of your old videos, but I hadn't noticed :( :D. Sorry about that!
      Anyway, it seems to me that gender can matter quite a lot under certain circumstances. The one most obvious to me is based on the type of inner energy each type seems to be most centred on. I'll use Yin and Yang as a metaphor here, and my personal experience is that INFJs flow most easily when we are mainly using Yin energy; INTJs are more aligned to Yang. Neither of them exclusively of course, but we fit most closely to the grain of our personalities if we are centred on these respectively.
      Now this is where social stereotypes become important, because men are raised in general to be Yang people, and women to be Yin. This was definitely true in the past, and there are expectations of it still deeply rooted in the way we are even today. Of course, it varies quite a lot across our worldwide cultural boundaries, but I suspect it's pretty prevalent wherever we look. That means that in an INFJ/INTJ relationship, there is a considerable difference depending on gender. A male INTJ fits the cultural stereotype quite well, but a male INFJ doesn't, and I suspect there are considerable differences in the dynamics of the relationship according to which way round they are. Assuming that both are reasonably well-balanced folks, I suspect that an INFJ Male, INTJ Female partnership is more likely to be an equal one, but the male may have trouble and insecurity working out exactly what his role is, whereas the other way round, the INTJ male is more likely to be dominant, but secure in his role. In practice it will be more nuanced than this of course.
      I'm sure that other mixed type relationships would have similar dynamics if the female was on a type that was more centred on Yang energy.

    I really don't get it! What's the point? I did a few tests and I'm an INFJ ; so what! I like being alone a lot and perfecting my inventions. If I were a seagull my name would be Jonathon Livingston. I've heard words like Architect and Mastermind. I'm certainly not academic but am able to come up with ideas based on imaging in my mind; Like seeing with the minds eye perhaps. I'm very bad with spelling and language and have big difficulty understanding this video with all the cryptic letters; Yet I have deciphered the allegory and symbolism of scriptures. I have patented modular arch structures and patent pending cycling pedal and other engineering inventions. I would like to have been an architect or engineer but not smart enough to get past high school. I don't have a good memory but do have very good conceptual visionary ideas with engineering aptitude. I am also communicative with my subconscious. I think. I am unique. Not because I'm an INFJ/P. i'm just me whom I came to know very well and made a plan like Jonathon Livingston. Reckless at times but a survivor. Freedom to explore is the key least you get held down by society.
