I love your conversations with these lovely people who are happy to show us their personal collections. I long for some plant friends who live nearby 🥰🌿👍🏼
You are officially my favorite UA-camr. Thank you so much for sharing other plant lover homes and discussin real life challenes that we face with plants. I am new the the plant community and I've learned so much so far just watching these videos. I literally wantto cry listening to Niyaa and how plants have impacted her. I have my own story and learning how to care for plants has given me a new purpose.
I am happy to burst your bubble about the poinsettia. I had two that my Mom kept trying to finish off in the snow. They were almost bare branches, they had white flies, their pots were way too small. I kept hauling them back in, washing off the white flies with soap, water and tissues. They grew up to look like small trees. A bit over 4’ tall and almost as wide at the bottom. My Dad kept them when I went off to school. He put them in the basement for a month or so in winter and they would bloom each year. Beautiful, happy plants.
I don’t even know how I came across this video but I think the plant Gods brought this to me for a reason. I’m excited to follow this page and follow Niyya and her journey. I myself have a plant 🌱 journey 🙌🏽
Instantly in love with Niyya, followed her straight away. What a lovely human being and amazing content! Thank you for the hard work in serving us this beautiful video :)
We need more people like Niyya in the Bronx. She’d probably teach me how to grow a green thumb. I love plants and is interested in agriculture but can barely keep Aloe Vera alive 🥲
So basically it turns out I was smiling for the entire video, and now my cheeks hurt :). Love both of your names, Niyya and Summer, absolute bundles of joy, both of you!
Even lettuce calls to me. I am just working on summer plants for my balcony and decided to do a pot of lettuce along with my many fuschia, coleus, tuberous begonia, etc. I put a little green romaine and a red romaine plant in my cart the other day, but found a cheaper 6 pack of red and green leaf lettuce and returned the romaines to their shelf. After going home I regretted not getting the red romaine and returned to the store the next day for it. (Ok, and a few more plants). Those were the last two of their kind, and as I walked away I felt bad for the little lonely green romaine and turned back to take it home too. I gave away 3 of the leaf lettuce to a neighbor and have the other 3 plus the red and green romaine happily living together in a large pot on the balcony now and don’t have to feel plant guilt over leaving one behind! 😆
This was a great plant visit. Yes. Growing and nurturing plants is healing. If I did not have them I don’t know if I would have made it through the Pandemic here in NYC. We were completely shut down. But, I made it and so did my plants. All 108 of them. Thanks Summer.
I've been acquainted with Niyya for YEARS and she is as amazing as she comes across in this video! I'm so glad this video showed up in my recommended videos! Congrats boo!
Thanks for sharing this about her. I Did search her name but I have to find her on other Platforms that I don't use or have.. I really like her.. Thanks
My situation is so similar. Homelessness with my 4 kids, domestic violence, and losing everything but nature and my plants are my escape. ... I have a collection of plants that have brought me through depression so I return the love by caring for them. ......and I'm a realize too🥰😍. I'm glad I saw this.
The houseplant home tours are always such a great way to show the diversity of folks who love plants. Plant love crosses borders, race, sexual orientation, age, and more. Love embracing that in the tours.
I love everything about this! How she turned her life around for herself and her kids after living through domestic abuse and homelessness, how vivid and bright she is, and how her plants are absolutely thriving! I saw way too many plants tour where the owner has 200-400 plants but they are all half-dead for lack of proper care. Her whole home is LUCIOUS with happy plants everywhere!
Seriously! I’m going through a pretty bad bout of depression and I swear plants are one of the only things that still get me giddy and actually happy. Only thing I’ve bought myself in the last year or so lol
I just love this young woman, her beautiful apartment, and her plants. So many apartment tours feature thousands of tiny plants that aren’t as vibrant, healthy, and attractive as hers. Her arrangement of them is just lovely. Love the sheer gold and white curtains, love her dress and earrings. This entire tour was not only informative, but a joy to behold. Thank you.
When I watch plant: “TV” a.k.a. UA-cam, The foliage is always the star, but not today, her beautiful blackness sun kissed skin, with that golden texture😩stole the show today. 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥. That Queen was definitely the main event, thank you for this video
What a joyous person..very upbeat. I love her collecton of plants and how they are displayed. Niyya's exuberance, I think, fuels her plants...they respond to it...as well as her good care of them. Another fun home tour..thank you!
I'm loving Niyya's energy!! I also loved that she didn't hold back on any tiny imperfections in some plants. Some want to only show the healthiest plants. This is such a relaxing video and now I want to buy MORE plants, lol! Always love to hear other plant parents' stories. Thank you ladies!
You guys work well together! I imagine you could be great friends, off screen. As a British chap, I was REALLY impressed with Niyya's accent! So many are exaggerated pastiches but that was a straight-up good copy! She could easily pass for a British person - they are looking for a new James Bond at the moment: time for a Jenny Bond?
Niyya, you are a true inspiration: from getting over and through your past to creating this amazing space. House plants are not easy to take care for, they all require something slightly different but its truly therapeutic to see them thrive. At least for me, its so rewarding to see my plants healthy because I'm doing something right for them and the benefit they give back is immeasurable.
I became a plant owner to try and occupy my mind away from grief. I lost my brother to suicide this past June. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. I felt completely broken. I could feel my mind getting lost in the pain and grief. I felt lost and very much alone. Becoming a plant owner has been a form of healing therapy for me. I still miss my brother so much. But, I am getting through each day, and learning to heal....and learning that it's okay to be happy. My first plant was a tiny little ferocactus and a very small fairy castle cactus. I can't wait to get more. I really love your story as well. I'm so glad that you found your sanctuary. 😊🌵❤️
Hello, Enjoyed your story. A strong woman you are. Changing a negative to a positive. You arranged everything so nice. I love all of your plants and your home is Beautifully arranged. Your son did a good thing cutting your plant lol🙏🏿❤️🙏🏿🌹🌹🌹🌹 Thank you for sharing
Listen!!!! I cried so many times! I love her (the guest) and of course the host is great as well but really loved the guest. So beautiful adding this to my self care video for frequent watching on the weekends.
I don’t remember how I ended up on your you tube channel, but it was to me God sent and you inspired me with your plants, for the most part your telling the story of your homelessness which I too can relate, how you rose back up is phenomenal. What a Great story.
This was such a nice video, her plants are so beautiful and healthy. I found that my plants really flourished during the pandemic. Her sanctuary is so peaceful and pleasant which matches her personality.
She's so positive and has such an infectious smile, I found myself getting excited with her even though her plants are so common here where I live. They all look so glorious and healthy!!!
Adam's fair acre Farm is one of my favorite places to shop. You are right the customer service is super nice and respectful. Thank you for giving me the motivation to take better care and interest in my plant, especially the cactus plants.
Visiting another home garden, inside apartment in big city, is inspirational. You shine the light on others and like plants, they grow. Flourish, flower.
Amen to her for making her home her sanctuary!
Plants are healing. This woman diffinely has nurturing heart. To have patients to grow these beautiful plants. ❤

I was dreaming about the plant back in the nursery -how many plant lovers can relate? 💚
I did the thing she did with my string of dolphins 🙌🤣

I really like how she names her plants closely resembling the type of plant it is to remember the kind of species it is. TWO GREEN THUMBS UP!!!
Beautiful home, such positive energy. ❤️
As a British person, I can say that her British accent was very sweet. It was like a British accent with hints of African or Carribbean.
Yes, I heard a Jamaican twang. I'd never suspect she wasn't British born with that accent.
