I’ve bought this kit from Growbuds. It’s a good system but I’d recommend adding an air stone or air pump to the resevoir to keep the nutrients and water fresh. First time use, i planted directly into the autopot, but had much better success when transplanting the seedlings into them around day 30. The roots tapped into the nutrients much quicker and avoided any stress.
For me it was the production quality. Got the camera guy a few times and when the camera guy fucks with him when handing him the root shield made me laugh. You guys are awesome!
yeah, follow directions carefully in set up, and if using clay pebble wash thoroughly first and soak in a quarter strength mix of feed, also check ph, clay pebble (here anyway) is alkali
@@16thdave This is not correct. Roots are not supposed to penetrate in this system, otherwise you risk clogging the valves. The whole point of the pebbles is to air prune the roots and wick water up. Same with the copper disc, that is to prevent roots from penetrating. I am installing their Fabric (Spring Pot XL) version today and instead of a copper disc they have a perfectly fitting copper sock that goes around the bottom of the fabric pot.
Shit I thought the copper thing was only if you were gonna use an air dome. Will I be okay without it this grow? Cuz they all way beyond point of somehow getting in the bottoms of pots which is obviously impossible... I hope I didn’t screw up bad
@Calvin Yea I use all thst too. Rinse and clean res and bucketseverychanging every week. . But if you're useing clear tubing it only takes 48 hours sometimes less for alge to appear. Its thr fastest living organism on the planet. Ask anyone who's been growing for decades like myself and all will tell you black plastic is the universal standard. Sure you could use brown blue or green just so long as its never clear. They're are however a few goofy Chinese companies who will market DWC and RDWC and hydro set-ups that include clear tubing. But that's because they're not real growers and simply just don't know any better. Have you tried this set up bro? I been thinking about giving it a try just for something different. If you've tried it how you like it compared to DWC or Recirculating? I'm leery on putting compost in they suggest tho lol. But a mix of coco and cyco hydroton or Sunshine no.4 Roots Organics or Simply Promix.
Last year I Purchased 5 oscillating 6 inch fans. After receiving them 2 of them did not work So I contacted growbuds and they replaced the 2 defective ones. A few days later another 3 stopped working And I never received any response from them. After numerous emails I still did not get a response because now I have 7 fans that are not working. I would never buy anything from them again. I also purchased 6 spider farmer lights from them Hopefully I will never have a problem with them. Dealing with their customer service is a total nightmare. If you need to purchase anything please I beg you go elsewhere.
Good lord. Next time, do your audience the courtesy of spending a few moments on preparation. It’ll cut the length of this seemingly interminable agony in half. All I wanted to see was a quick vid on setting up the system, not 10 minutes of some dufus fumbling with the manual. What an embarrassment.

Air stone changes the pH I use dakine 420 nutes clean man an foiler from them that knocks out any lock out but low nutes so I won't get lock out
Circulate or stir, but don't bubble. Air will tweak the pH quickly.
Bingo
@@Dr_Peeper_ICU noob here…I just bought an air stone for my rez…is there any way I can use an air stone successfully?
Toobing. Toobing. A tub is what you take a bath in. 😉

Is it newbie friendly

how does the water go from tray to the inner-side of the pot? does the pot have any vent at the bottom of it?
yes the pot has slats on the bottom for roots to penetrate

Do you have to aerate the resovoir or keep the water moving?
Sub Irrigation is the word you are looking for.
Mike Braedel - and tube ing - not tub ing
Video update with grow ?? How was the smoke 💨??
My system floods uncontrollably.. what the hell am i doing wrong? Is the water tap from the flexi tank suppose to remain open or no?
How level is your floor, ? The trays must all be level to each one or one will flood more than other’s
@@estherpage9221 i figured it out
Very nice channel growmie, you def have a new sub.... stay lit,🤙🤙🤙
Will this 4 pot set up fit in a 3x3 tent?
9 minutes and I still not seen a dam pot or system you like the sound of your voice bro
How do flush?
So why did mine not come in a box and missing part's and damaged part's?
2000 Years later.... same here until i saw your video ;-)

copper mat face up in the TRAY, not the pot, black fabric piece over the airdome to divert roots
from going into the dome and strangling it
Great vid man :) Watching an American person say clay pebbles was a bonus haha in your language it's hydroton I think lol
Hi, could you covert this system to a 16mm drainage system instead of the 6mm, and what light would you recommend for 6 by 5 tent please thanks
@Calvin black tubing is best to avoid alge.

Good video! thanks for sharing this information.
10:28 - the “tubbing?”
will this fit in a 60x60cm tent?
Not really. Youd be better off getting one xl pot and separate reservoir
According to their website the gold side faces down in the US version.
“Tub” ing lol
@growbuds Have you done a draw for this system yet?? Quebecois en Edmonton. Merci!
A couple good information??? 😆 aight ima head out
He's French Canadian. So don't be racist.
How is run-off managed? Is there any? Planning on buying the system but their website sucks. Thanks!
There is no runoff. It's bottom fed, excess salts (if applicable) will travel up beyond the roots towards the surface.
I thought this guy was American, until he called the tubing, tubbing.
bonjour du quebec
The tubbbbbbings…
Tubbing? I need me some of that!
Been working on my pronunciation since then :)
@@growbuds5072 Given the fact I know no other language, I'd say you did pretty darn good. Keep it up!
