  • Here y'all go. V100 Mandello S with Mistral Ice Grey slip-on exhaust. Sorry that the footage is so dark. I leave for work in the dark and get home right before dark. Couldn't stand it anymore and went out to get some quick video. Got dark on me.
I tried to vary my speed to allow the gurgles, pops, and crackles to come through. The video doesn't do it justice though. It sounds way better in person.
Took me a while of trial and error with the wind noise. Found that something called a wind slayer foam cover over the GoPro eliminates much of the wind noise. Not perfect, but good enough.
I had this exhaust installed on Friday, March 24 at my 900 mile service at AF1. I'm now at 1,250 miles. From what I've gathered, Agostini exhausts are generally lower toned with a more refined sound. Mistrals have a more raucous, wilder tone.
I went ahead and ordered the Agostini as well. Going to give both a try. My Moto Guzzi top case and bracket arrived today. I'll install them on Saturday evening. I'll be out riding Saturday and Sunday. I'll do another update at that point. I have lots of notes already on the good and bad. At least, based on my preferences.

It does indeed have a nice sound, but i think the exhaust is too big, it covers that beautiful one arm wheel

Nice😁… so, was the db killer in or out? And, did you notice any difference in throttle response/mapping feel? I have an Agostini on my ‘15 Norge. It’s held up for 7 yrs👍. Thx for sharing your adventures on these vids… upcoming pros/cons of the bike - and, I’ll be curious to see your thoughts on the Mistral vs Ago once compared. Cheers!

@Barry Sebastian, all the Mistrals that I came across for this bike don't have a baffle. The baffle is available to purchase separately for another $50. I actually prefer a louder exhaust. I won't be getting a baffle.
I didn't notice any throttle response change. I think I know what you're getting at. I've had slip-on exhausts cause a reduction in throttle response at lower revs on other bikes. This one so far has not had a negative impact.
AF1 said since the cat is still intact, there is no remap needed.
Looking forward to comparing this to the Agostini.

@@BenManrriquez hi Ben how is possible to remove the baffle? And then put back on? Is it easy?

    • @BenManrriquez
      @BenManrriquez  Рік тому +1

@@marcoprivato4573, for the Agostini exhaust, there is a tiny allen head screw to remove after taking off the carbon fiber end cap. The baffle comes right out after removing the screw. No extra tools needed like with some other exhausts that you have to work hard to pry the baffle out. Then just re-install the carbon fiber end cap. Easy process.

That has to be with DB killer in...the real test will be: No cat, no DB's...and scoot...maybe Delkevic, or Austin Racing... Thanks for sharing...

@gp92510, oh, heck. I re-read the Ice Grey exhaust description and you're right, it says with DB killer. Dammit. I somehow missed that.
I'll figure out how to remove the DB killer, remove the Agostini and put this Mistral back on to see if I like it even better.
I was liking the Agostini because of the shorter length. Don't like that the Mistral hides some of the wheel.

So the only change in this video is the Mistral slip-on with no dB killer? How are the pops when you roll off the throttle? There's another person who did a slip-on on their V100 (not a Mistral though), and popped a lot when rolling off the throttle. I would think with the Ago headers + y-pipe + tune those pops should be gone? I put a deposit down on a '24 V100 Aviazione Navale, and ordered the Mistral slip-on from AF1 already. I'm hoping it'll sound like yours, but not too bad with pops when rolling off the throttle?

@bronzestarvue, yes, in that video, the Mistral slip on was the only change. The pops were still there. The baffle was still in. I meant to take the baffle out and do another video but never got around to do it. I got the Agostini Ice Grey exhaust. Liked the look much better. Sound was almost the same as stock and the Mistral. I haven't attempted to remove the baffle on the Agostini.
I'm at 16,000 miles now 19 months since taking delivery. But I also put around 25k miles per year on my truck and another 10k to 15k per year on my other bikes.
Congrats on ordering the 2024 Aviazione. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
