Oh man, these would be the star at a tailgate. Instead of swiss, I'd love to put a spoon of mac and cheese. Maybe leave out the pickle and definitely top with bacon. OmG, I'm getting so hungry! Great show, Miss Paula!! 👍❤ P.S. Hot pastrami and yellow mustard would work well here, as well.
I love these little sandwiches. They are great for any kind of party. Baby swiss is my favorite too Paula. You need you a counter or a table by your convection oven to sit your dish on while you open the doors. I would have dropped it for sure. Take care yall and have a lovely day. Love and best dishes
I have made a version of these but I brush the top bun with melted butter and sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning. It really gives it nice flavor.
I had forgotten about these delicious sandwiches!! Back about 6 years ago my nephew’s wife made these and invited us over to eat! Oh my goodness they were absolutely delicious!! After that I started making them. We had these probably about once every other week. Then I kind of forgot about them until now when I saw this video! Thank you Paula for bringing so many wonderful memories!! We will start eating these again!! I need to go to the store tomorrow anyway, so I’ll had this to my list of groceries!! Thanks again Paula!! Love, hugs & prayers to you & Michael, Eddie & Teresa and all of your families, NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS 💗💗🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗🤗🫶🏻🫶🏻
Paula ive made a different version of this but Love the tip to separate them! they also freeze beautifully and then reheat nicely. thank you for all you do to brighten our day. Robin
I love these! I also made mine with pork loin, bbq sauce and swiss cheese. It was so delicious! They are great also for taking to homes for funerals, anniversary parties where you have single bites, and even birthday parties. Everytime it is a hit. Also, did a reuben style sandwich as well. FYI- Aldi's has a smaller size Hawaiian rolls that are alot less expensive.
We make these with ham and swiss, a mix of mayo and dijon and everything bagel seasoning on top. Ugh so good!!!!! I just love your recipes, your way and especially the old time atmosphere of your home, with all the family and friends around. This was how it used to be with all of us around the kitchen with cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents... I hope someday to have a life like this again. This to me is what Heaven must be like. A kitchen full of family and a beautiful garden out back, enjoying all the seasons and bounty of life.
Have done this similar recipe for years but omit the mayo and combine softened butter, fresh minced garlic and poppyseeds and spread on the bread then the meat and cheese. Not so sure about the bacon though, adds flavor but toughness to a soft delicate sandwich. I do add a bit of worcestershire sauce to the spread.
What a great way to start the day with you Paula. I just love watching you. I am so glad I found you on youtube. I have a firestick and I had found you on one of my apps, and started watching you a few weeks ago, but on youtube I can comment. I just love you so much. I sure have missed you. You bring back so many precious memories of my mother and I watching you every Saturday morning. She used to try to be home from the store before you came on. Love you sweet lady.
These sandwiches are going to be on the menu for our card party this weekend! Thank you for sharing the recipe with us! I do get your magazine…. It’s definitely my favorite cooking magazine!
Teresa is a great helper two A+ everybody needs a helper every now and again it just makes your life so much easier🤟🤟🤟💛🧡😍🥰🤩 I will have try this with the Hawaiian rolls

Hey Paula just want you to know that it feels so much better to see you in your natural environment now. Your new kitchen is beautiful! Can't wait to see what else you're gonna pump out of there 😁.
Paula, thank you so much for continuing to make these UA-cam videos. I watch them each night before bed and thoroughly enjoy them. Aloha Paula! Yes, I grew up on Hawaiian Sweet Bread, and you can do anything with sweet bread! I'm 65 year's old and I'm from Hawai'i, and we would make fried egg & bacon sandwiches! Mahalo! 🙏🏼🤙🏽🌺
I’ve made similar sandwiches with just ham for meat. Yummy! Try the non-stick foil. Reynolds makes it and oftentimes there’s a store brand available for less $.
Hi Paula👋 oh I love mayonnaise🤟🤟🤟 I made something similar but I don't put mayonnaise on mine I put butter and it's delicious yes Baby Swiss is delicious🧀🥪🥓💛🧡
Shoot. Anything easy for a busy life I'm all in! Y'all should just keep a pit smoking and toss in y'all's meat for extra flavor. Brisket, picnic roast, caramelized honey ham. Smoke from the pit works wonders. Love from Texas!

I'm going to Myrtle beach this weekend and we are going to eat at Paula deen restaurant. This will he my first time. So excited!!!!
It's a shame no one would help her with that oven door--that dish could've ended up on the floor, and then they would've been sorry! Paula, if you're going to use that oven you need a counter next to it to set the dish on while you open/close the doors (and not a trash can). It could be one of those small rolling carts that they now make for kitchens.
Hey Paula! You should recreate this video with the homemade mayo you created a couple weeks ago. Also what about some homemade bread? Maybe bring on a guest to handle the bread while you create the mayonnaise and assemble the deli items. That would be a great video to showcase!
Love these sandwiches! I've made them with ham and cheese, roast beef and turkey , chicken and ham, used several different cheeses. I add dried minced onion to the butter. These sandwiches are sooo good! I want to make some with Salmon and shrimp or salmon and shrimp salad. Thanks for sharing! Get rid of those allergies soon! ( i'm GA girl too and have my share!) Feel better soon! Love y'all!

OK Paula...my tablet is missing a button to smell those sandwiches...they look delish..!!!!!!! Like all your great recipes...gotta try this. Thanks So Much !!!!
Mmmm....they look so mouthwatering! I've made similar, and also "Reubenized" with kraut and 1000 island dressing 😋. Great for a New Year's Eve get together.
I made mine a bit bigger and with sough dough, Canadian bacon black forest ham bacon lightly toasted on the outside cut in half with the brown mustard which was on hand it's what I had on hand

Would y'all bring these to a tailgate? What meats & cheeses would you use?
Most definitely! My family would have to have BBQ Pork Steak, Colby Jack Cheese with carmelized onion in lieu of pickles. Love Y'all Big! ❤
I do my sliders with little hamburgers or pulled pork but I will definitely be trying these. They look scrumptious!

Dont use mayo, just butter and garlic/poppyseeds but a touch of horseradish sounds great! Thanks for the tip and wish you well
