Alison, I just got home from work and as soon as this Thanksgiving video appeared on my youtube feed, I took off my bra, grabbed a bottle of Syrah, wrapped myself in a blanket and settled in. I have watched every single Thanksgiving special and can confirm that if you repeated the dishes exactly and told the same stories, I would still tune in. This is one of my favourite annual watches, and I cant wait for next year when you have a new addition to the Thanksgiving family xx

Love all your holiday specials! Thanks for putting up both parts. Here’s where I fall by comparison: 1. Hate fennel. Despise. Anything anise. Vinah D’alosh gets poured on my roasting turkey. 2. Portuguese chouriço in my stuffing. 3. Cranberry/Blackberry sauce with pomegranate juice, sugar and maybe clementine. 4. Green veg is Brussels Sprouts but with bacon and more additions than necessary or practical. 5. Lumpy mashed potatoes. 6. Acorn squash stuffed with duck confit, wild rice, dried cherries and almonds. Immediately started crying when she said she was pregnant. I prepare thanksgiving for my family every year and am also pregnant with my first (will be 32 weeks at TG). Every single forum I've ever seen about hosting thanksgiving pregnant just says "don't." But I love thanksgiving and like Alison said, it's not the cooking or the recipes that are the stress, it's the hosting and having people around. So encouraging to see a new mom confidently tackle this, give herself grace, and make a great spread.
