The two hosts try each one and ultimately decide which one is the best of the best.

What food should we rate next on Best of the Best? Let us know in the comments below!
Best Pizza 🍕 in NYC??
Best quesadillas please?
Best Donuts!
Lasagna or some type pasta
Hey FOOD INSIDER....love your videos and the ladies are good hosts.
Just an idea from a fan that I think would put your "best of the best" videos over the top. This would have been perfect for this particular show too!
For instance...pastrami is obviously a very lauded, celebrated deli meat which has old school Jewish origins. The first thought I had before watching this video was I wonder how a 70-80 year old, brutally honest, really funny jewish man obsessed with pastrami would rate theses places...and I started laughing. Pick an older native expert to join you in each episode. This could be done with any food in any city.
Just a thought.
They have about as much chemistry as baking soda and vinegar

Oil and water
Is it just me or are these two just really annoying and act really fake too
@@omarmunir5954 I also think they are annoying lol
Black pepper and salt?
When can we get 2 hosts that aren't so passive aggressive towards eachother
ikr
Ralph Valencia they don’t have to be guys just anyone who knows what the hell they’re taking about.
Took off the guy part, i meant 2 hosts that could just stand eachother
How
“You should swallow before you talk”
I appreciate that they actually ate the sandwiches and didn't just take 2 bites. I always hate seeing food reviewers waste food.
They dont waste it; their crew eat the left-overs.
It’s not like they want to waste it. To review the food next, their palates have to be empty, or else they’ll feel so full the next sandwiches won’t taste so good even if they really are.
They proabably did this across several days so they can have the stomach 😀
@billygowhoop no one does that bruh
Their change of clothing each time tells me they they didn’t eat all of those Sammy’s on the same day.
These two hosts HATE each other hahaha
Y’all need to find that vibe that the boys from Buzzfeed’s Worth It series have with each other tbh
Yeah the three boys, i miss them. They entertain me when i was depressed.
@@kucinghoren7864 Do they not do worth it anymore?
@@WizardsArt they still do it.
Difficult to emulate the Boys’ chemistry for these women I guess. The Worth it boys are amazing. They have set a benchmark which is insane.❤️
@@soumyadipmukhopadhyay3381 maybe. But some friendliness/friendship-y vibes would be nice. But maybe that's due to the editing as well.
The first guy was so sweet and seems so humble. I just want to give him my money already

Yes. He did. He didn't seem money grubbing. Just very personable. And very eclectic and innovative, while still maintaining tradition.
Give me some money😆
Gosh right? Such a sweetheart his food looks incredible.
Me too! Is a shame they closed in 2019 :(
Literally every singel place: "we are one os the only places that still makes it the old fationed way"
I admire Herrine for the fact that she shoves as much food that can possibly fit into her face in a single bite. Always
Yes, but if you follow her to the bathroom afterwards, and listen through the door, you'll hear "beaoughhhh....beaoughhhh" 😂
@@genesankinlmaoooooo
Well, I find it quite disgusting, actually - she should wait to finish one bite before she takes another bite. She eats like a pig!

Such a great reviewer!
"You should swallow before you talk," she said, while having food in her OWN mouth.
Herrine is so irritating.
Camille Douglas thought it was just me.
Camille Douglas yes I got that too with her small mouth you not her mother
She is VERY annoying
She was basically done chewing & was told by someone with a half full mouth to finish chewing before talking, how ironic & annoying.
ikr, and then in spicy challenges, before trying the food she brags about being able to handle spice but when she tries it she can’t finish it.
harry and ida is very different and modern and for taking a big risk in changing the game they deserve the number one spot
Looked absolutely scrumptious and the 2 choices you both went with looked the most delicious to me. Yum.

Well, I know what I am having for lunch tomorrow. Thanks ladies for the tour and the reviews. Seeing you two young ladies consume those sandwiches was nothing short of delicious. Cheers 🥂
I came to the comments to see if I was the only one who thought the on-camera chemistry between the hosts was off
It was a little more than off i think
super off!!
This is why they are not allowed to go in the kitchen, too many knives in it ^^
I felt like the asian woman was rude to the other one

$17 & $22 usd sandwich off the hopp?! That's insane. Those sandwiches better rub your shoulders and feet too.
It's New York Prices for you my friend
When you taste Katz's pastrami you'll know it's worth it
you haven’t been to new york have you?
You possibly don't know how much it cost to make a brisket and overhead cost too?
I can get a way bigger and juicer torta in LA for 8$
Great review as always! Very professional video. I have never been to any of these places but the first I would try is 2nd avenue deli. Juicy, thin sliced, on-point every time .. sounds delish.
As a Finn, I liked the first one the most. That one looks like that has the most fresh flavors. Dill, cucumber, pastrami... Yuuuummmie
theyre either bestfriends that literally live at each others houses and hit one another or they hate each other
As someone who has ate at all of these places, I feel like Harry & Ida's is my favorite pastrami sandwich. The flavors are phenomenal. However, 2nd Ave Deli has the best pastrami I've ever had. 2nd Ave Deli pastrami with Harry & Ida's setup would be my ideal pastrami sandwich. Katz's is still a solid choice in my opinion, but you can't beat David's Brisket House's prices. I live in Brooklyn and David's is the best pastrami sandwich you can get at it's price point.
your profile pic made me think i had a hair on my computer screen
Yeah that 2nd ave meat looked on another level. I could be wrong, but it also looks like 2nd ave and Katz's use a lot more meat. So while they are expensive, it doesn't seem like a terrible value.
Jackson Walter As someone who has ate at all these places I feel you have added to the value of this food review. Thanks for the input brother.
David's is closed.
Except it's not Pastrami. It's pastrami-esque, made from a different cut of beef, a different way, with different spices.
I used to live in a big city, the only thing I miss is finding restaurants with food like this
My partner and I are partial to a pastrami sandwich but living in a rural part of the UK we only get to enjoy this if we go to London on a trip or make it ourselves which we have done. Some have commented that those sandwiches are dear but we would have to share one between us, we wouldn't want to eat such a large sandwich. Taking size and price into account I'd say it's on a par with London prices.

I've been to Katz. Absolutely amazing. Not sure if they are still open. I also ordered over the phone when I lived in NC. They sent it and I steamed it. 👌. There's also the Pastrami King out east.
Agree on the consistency of 2nd Ave Deli. I'm a traditionalist, but would love to try that Harry and Ida's take! Which begs me to ask, why does one have to concede? 🤷🏻♂️

Ever hear the word banter. Ever been to NYC. Banter is the NYC way of communicating. These girls get along just fine. You all are just looking for something negative to say instead of sticking to the subject. Pastrami sandwiches.
I am so glad 2nd Ave Deli finally made it into a video! It is my favorite deli in NYC!
I'm gonna be steaming a Boars Head top round pastrami sandwich tomorrow night! With spicy mustard and pepper jack cheese. You can steam it in a vegetable steamer but just so it for a couple minutes on each side
Good review. If I ever visit New York City, I'll be sure to try the Pastrami at all four locations.
I guess what makes a huge city like NYC so cool is that you can pick the most super specific food item and there will probably be 5-8 quality food joints for you to choose from.
So true I get that same sentiment from people who come from other parts off the country or even the world and say it amazes them that they leave their apartment and can pass 5 bars two deli’s and a pizza shop on one block..
I was gonna say that first sandwich looked amazing then that lady was like,
“You should swallow before you talk”
Killed the vibe kinda. It’s a food show. You kinda have to talk with your mouth full otherwise it’s quite and awkward. Only reportoftheweek can do that successfully.

Harry & Ida is the evolution and future of Pastrami Sandwich
Waaaaa!! I'm so hungry now!!! That pastrami at 2nd ave Deli is the king!!
The last time I went to Katz's I ordered a Pastrami sandwich from the waiter. He turned towards the counter and yelled out, " Vun Pastrami, Vun". Then he ran behind the counter and made it. Of course I had a Celray Soda.
Hahahahaha
Hands down, the stars of this video were the sandwiches. Nothing in this video compares. Like omg.
I think 2nd Ave Deli should be winner of traditional pastrami samdwiches, but an honorable mention for Harry & Ida for non-traditional pastrami. If there are others like them it could be a parallel category.
I miss NYC delis (native New Yorker). Closest I got outside of NYC, was the Jewish delis in Chicago, but they still aren't quite as good as NYC pastrami.
When I move to a new city, first thing is to scope out decent fabric stores, decent Jewish delis & bagel shops, French (European) pastry shops, authentic ethnic cuisine restaurants.
I'm from Sydney. I've never been to New York but Harry and Ida's gets my vote! I was drooling all over my laptop. It looks fabulous!!!
Anchovy Mustard....Never before have I heard an Idea so goddamn brilliant.
Imma be busy now.
Glad someone else caught that sounds like a great idea now to find the right mustard to blend it with
I have never had a pastrami before but I love watching u guy's vdos
I'm dreaming of eating this generous sandwich 😍
David's Brisket House is a diamond in the rough. A nice sandwich without having to be told if you lose your ticket, your gonna pay. Also, finding parking around there is way better than those other spots in Manhattan. I don't even cross the bridge anymore if I want pastrami.
the reason for the ticket is you dont pay at the counter like all other place's. the cost is written on the ticket and you pay on the way out. therefore if you lose your ticket (on purpose or not) trying to get out of paying. they have no way of knowing what you ordered. and only then you are charged $50 which is 2 sandwiches and a drink.
Why does everything have to be in NYC and LA?

@ 8:16 the way she bit that bothered me lmao I’ve never seen a person not complete a sandwich bite 😂
I always thought Katz and 2nd Ave made a bookend couple, with Katz's being smokier and 2nd Ave being juicier, kind of summing up the two major approaches to pastrami. Having said that, the best pastrami sandwich is in Los Angeles, at Langer's. I make my own pastrami from beef short ribs, and its pretty killer too.
That's awesome. I'm in France now and they don't have brisket as a cut here at all so your short ribs approach sounds amazing. Got a good brine / spice mix you can share?
Katz’s only claim to fame is their history
Uh yeah that's usually how locations develop fame...
Sabian Vorachev it’s garbage food. Their attitude sucks, you can’t get a seat, they treat you like shit so for real don’t go there. You’re going to get robbed to be shouted at and get a disgusting sandwich. So many better places.
I like Katz the best.
I’m from Indiana and just came to NYC, went to Katz and they are everything!!! That sandwich was so good and tender and moist and juicy OMG!! I need another one. You trippin
You have to do something great to make, creat and sustain "history"!
In its heyday, NYC had dozens of excellent delis. You didn't have to leave your neighborhood to find a great pastrami or corned beef sandwich, Those days are gone, and Katz's wins by default. But back then, NYC deli aficionados considered Katz's a tourist trap.
Watching this muted makes it even better.
Thank you for showing this appealing pastrami sandwich. I know my arteries will be clogged, and I may have a heart attack by eating this, but all will be worth it!
