Recently told by a pharmacist that as my symtoms are under control , he was going to recommend that I come off HRT in next 6 months , due to increased risks! Unable to substantiate these risks, fortunately due to listening to many of your discussions , and listening to both Dr Lewis and Dr Newson that I could challenge this, it was not easy,d8dnt feel collaborative, and I was certainly not an expert, though it was clear he didnt understand menopause but also came away wondering how many times I will need to be prepared to FIGHT my corner. I find this worrying especially as I wish I'd taken it earlier I wasnt well informed, had no idea about perimenopause, and now feel so much better I could tick almost every box you discussed, my husband feels his as his wife back, please keep "banging on about this " it's so reassuring and empowering thank you .
My GPs haven't a clue either. They just threw at me all the negatives of cancer, dementia. Lost all confidence now. Ended up pushing for thyroid pill for my hair loss. But feel in limbo.
Thank you liz i love your videos im 7 weeks in surgical menopause im 43 i was sent home with nothing i looked up menopause i had all symptoms and gained loads of knowledge from you i thought my life was over i thought i was having a netvous breakdown your a great help to women like me ❤
Thank you so much Liz for this video, I saw the head lines, I had read through the article and was reading to stop my HRT, as her is a high risk of dementia in my family, the reason why I decided to go on HRT because I did my research with your book and many other women speaking about it, as it said about helping against dementia and many other issues that run in my family, it was a no brainer for me, so when I seen this article I panicked and was going to sto it straight away, thank god I watched you video , so thank you 🩷
Oh my goodness, everything you stated resonated with my experience!!! In my forties I believed I was going mad, heart palps, severe anxiety, depression. My former self had vanished. I never thought or even knew anything about hormones or was told by My Dr.that this was hormone related and was put on pshyc meds!!!! I did my own research and made the choice to start HRT with a very good OBGYN whom was going through it herself. So at 51 I started HRT I am 62 now never looked back!!!!! I do not want to live that way ever again!!!! Thank you Liz for a positive, empowering voice for us women :*)
Hi Lynne, hope you're well. We have recorded podcasts on breast cancer and HRT, which you may find helpful to listen to. Newson Health are currently running a survey on breast cancer and menopause care which you might like to take too ❤️ lizearlewellbeing.com/?s=breast+cancer and bit.ly/breast_cancer_survey Thanks, Rachel (social media manager)
So sorry to hear this - we have another youtube video on speaking to your doctor about your symptoms which you may find helpful and do check out the Balance app ❤️
@@lizearlewellbeing sorry to say I've tried it all. They are like a brick wall. They don't see patients now. Just phone. They don't get to know anyone or their symptoms. I've lost confidence in them and myself now cos they don't listen.
