abyss actors though really did fit his character. Yosenju fits his "I'm superior " with "better" pendulum summoning and buying a good deck but that wasn't a thing anymore when he became a lancer.
kamaitachi, the Japanese yokai this archetype is based on, are such a funny concept 3 wind weasels faster than than the eye can see, one to knock you over, one to make a cut and one to heal the wound.
A neat Wind Support card to use in this Deck would be the spell *“Summon Storm”* For the price of 800 LPs, you get to Special Summon a lvl6 or lower Wind monster. And On the next turn it can be banished from the Grave to Summon a Lvl4 from the hand!
As someone who still plays Yosens, both IRL and especially Master Duel, another good piece of support for Yosens are the Sky Striker spells. Since if you play Yosens properly you main monster zones will be empty by the end or start of your turn allowing you to set up anchor or booster for effect negate and avoidance. While on your turn allowing you to use wave, afterburner, engage, or even blaster as you see fit. And in case your back row is filled Zero and remove will either getting you another striker or reshuffle your deck. Especially none of the striker cards lock you out of your normal summons; which the Yosens Love.
This is one of the decks i ran into that earned me over sometime ago. you can go several ways with this lineup, and the amount of pain it can dish out along with stunning consistency is surprising to see.
The OCG naming of Kama 1, 2 and 3 is handled so much better being Kamaitachi (Itchi being 1), Kamanitachi (ni = 2) and Kamamitachi (idk japanese well enough but i speculate "Mi" had some connection to being a third of some kind) It incorporates the numbers into the name much more fluently because they are all based on the Kamaitachi yokai
@@DarkCT yep, it was during a slower format back in like 2018. I normal summoned the tumelords to clear the way to otk with my yosenju. It’s unplayable today obviously but it was fun back in the day
No but seriously Konami, why aren’t these Spirit monsters? It’s literally the same mechanic AND the same thematic inspiration of drawing from Shinto myths and legends.
Because some of them can still be special summoned in an emergency, which makes them more playable. I like Spirit monsters too, but it just hurt Yosenjus' flexibility too much.
@@EthanKironus8067 They've changed how Toon monsters work with each new wave of support, they could let you Special Summon the Yosenjus and still have them be Spirits. There's already precedent; the Spirit Pendulums can all be Special Summoned (for obvious reasons), and Yamato-no-Kami flips the mechanic entirely and can't be *Normal* Summoned.
i found this archetype when i was playing the n r event in master duel as only hitot and daibak were restricted and pretty much everything else was free at 3 so i combined the yosenjus with kaijus so i can tribute problematic monsters and bounce my own kaiju with kama 1 or whirlwind to tribute another one since kaijus got no once per turn after the event i looked through the archetype and what it got to offer and i quickly fell in love with it it may not be the strongest but it defenitely can catch an opponent off guard after using yosenjus against floo and six samurai i gotta say they are basicly a combination of those 2 but inferior in the cathegories floo and samurais specialize in one unteresting thing you can do is if you dont have lethal with hitot and daibak cause your opponent can somehow block you you can still pendulum out one of the other yosenjus along with the big ones and then boost their attack with hitot the other yosenju then stays on the field but also keeps the attack cause hitot doesnt say until the end phase yosenjus certainly arent even close to meta relevant but they are a fun deck i love to play casually
I play this deck at locals and on master duel, it’s my favorite! I run gadarla to tribute over any troublesome monsters and bounce them back to my hand with my yosenjus. Also evenly matched is great in this deck, Swift scarecrow, and ultimate slayer instead of dogmatika punishment. Not to mention one copy of pendulum treasure , one lists pendulum and one duelist alliance. Also one small world to get me to whatever I need.
One of sylvio's four archetypes because there's the anime only dart strikers then a mobius deck it might of had other monarchs but we never see them this and then abyss actors he the only important character who played more the one archetype since neos is still considered a E.Hero
My favorite is Hitot because if you can get 2 or more on the field there attackboost stacks 😊 Also side note laughing hysterically every time my opponent activates Maxx C on kama 1,2,3 effect xD
Another things I'd have put in the tech section were floo. Both decks normal summon and snowl allows for multiple normal summons, allowing you to do both the floo and yosen combo
Yes, BUT Snowl gives you 3 Normal summons without the winged-beast clause. Meaning, after you summon Robina and do the entire combo into Snowl, you can then summon any of the kamas and let that go loose
Quick question, since It's been something I'm curious about: Does Nova only do these Archetype Explained videos once, for each archetype covered? And, if so, doesn't that mean they become outdated eventually when new support shows up?
I will forever hate this archetype because of Master Duel Floodgate Andys. So much fun running into it every event with Lose 1 Turn + Solemn Brigade for Backrow hate.
If somebldy puts mayo ob a hamburger they have commited a great sin. You better bounce before I start to channel my inner parent and say that I am not mad, I am just disappointed
Lol its use to be really broken when zoo was at full power and u had two diagusto emerald legal, they had a really strong draw engine as well as alot of flood gates and kaijus that could be bounced back to hand.
A round of applause for New Neo Sylvio
The super ultra huper strong duellist
Love this deck. Wish Sylvio continued to use this deck as he actually would have won against yuya, if not for those silly action cards.
another missed opportunity of arc v out of ......how often did it miss ideas
abyss actors though really did fit his character. Yosenju fits his "I'm superior " with "better" pendulum summoning and buying a good deck but that wasn't a thing anymore when he became a lancer.
Sylvio with Yosenju was awesome, but Abyss Actors makes so much more sense
@@omegon2540honestly I disagree, I think it was a perfectly used opportunity.

Thank you for making this 🙏🏻 not enough people talk about Yosenju
This is still one of my favorite Duel Links Decks to play. I know it ain't optimal, but I find it fun anyway.
Fun fact I actually got second place at my locals a while back with (normal summon) yosenju timelords
yosenju timelords? how does that pan out? shifting your normal summons when the moment demands?
@@DarkCT yep, it was during a slower format back in like 2018. I normal summoned the tumelords to clear the way to otk with my yosenju. It’s unplayable today obviously but it was fun back in the day

I love Silvio. If he and Chazz ever met they would be the best of friends I’ll bet.
Why? Because they’re both gods walking amongst men.
then the chazz learns to pendulum summon Ojamas

Its my boys! Glad to see ya covering my favorite archetype, even if they arent the most effective cards they are still pretty fun.
Yosenju is one of if not my favorite archetype, this video gave me an idea on how to use them better now!!

after the event i looked through the archetype and what it got to offer and i quickly fell in love with it it may not be the strongest but it defenitely can catch an opponent off guard
after using yosenjus against floo and six samurai i gotta say they are basicly a combination of those 2 but inferior in the cathegories floo and samurais specialize in
one unteresting thing you can do is if you dont have lethal with hitot and daibak cause your opponent can somehow block you you can still pendulum out one of the other yosenjus along with the big ones and then boost their attack with hitot the other yosenju then stays on the field but also keeps the attack cause hitot doesnt say until the end phase
yosenjus certainly arent even close to meta relevant but they are a fun deck i love to play casually
my favorite spirit archetype
3:07 Itachi
Nitachi
Mitachi
Whenever I see a Yosenju Video, it reminds me of a guy who was commenting on each video for months asking to "do Yosenju"
Always enjoyed Yosejus
Magat's pose gives me BIG "Hey Bart wanna see my hockey mask and chainsaw!?" vibes.

Sylvio is the Master of Wind with Yosenju

You can also run the big chicken in the deck.

Yosen were a lot of fun; no one saw these guys coming
0 and 9 Shingo! More time to shine with him... Somewhat. lol

Spirit monsters but not really
