I'm loving that way of framing. I want to do a art wall and that would be perfect way to display my finished paintings. Thank you for sharing Rachel x
Thank you so much for this vlog as we spend so much time doing them it is sad to put them in a portfolio under the bed because it is rather expensive to have them custom framed and I would rather use that money to invest into more diamond paintings but this way I can do both thank you once again take care stay safe xxxx
I love this way of framing because you don't have to worry about matching frames.
This was so great! Have been dreading framing my paintings!! ❤️
Thank you for your time in putting these videos together. I am now addicted to diamond painting and your my new coach. I've watched your beginner tutorials and now I'm off to the races. Thank you again.
Great job on this framing technique. This is the way I’m going to go for my diamond paintings. It gives the diamond paintings a professional look when done.
Gosh that looks incredible. But here's the problem I have. I suffer from OCD and anxiety. It would kill me to cut off some of the painting...no joke. I seriously don't think I could do it...lol. But oh my do your paintings look gorgeous. Thank you for showing up this fabulous tutorial!!!
I know right? All that time putting drills on to cut them off. 😱 It looks good on the frame but I couldn"t do it.
If you have lots of extra drills, you could add glue to the edges of your canvas and do your own border that is the thickness of the stretcher bar, so that it is the part on the edges. You might want to paint under it so the legend doesnt show through, if you use round drills. (I was thinking the same thing.)
I thought the same thing. I’d rather add a matching paint of washi to the edge and bend at that point
Thanks so much for this. I am working on a large piece (80x90 cm) and had no idea how I was going to display it! This will be perfect. I'm excited now. Thank you!
LOVE the stretching look, I’ll finish my canvases this way
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I was having trouble thinking of a way to frame them, now I have just ordered a frame kit for my WIP which I should have finished by the time it arrives, and again thanks for sharing! xxx
your paintings are awesome Rachel! I'll try this type of framing also. Thank you for sharing!
Oh my gosh thank you so much for demonstrating this, it looks amazing!

An interesting option for framing a painting. I don't think I'm ready for this yet, but maybe in the future.

This was super interesting thank you! I have concrete walls which struggle to be drilled into but will defo look at this for bigger pieces I will do!
This is a lovely way to finish the canvases xx
Hi, Wow, good idea!. Looks great. Thank you for the tutorial.
Definitely going to do this with my first diamond painting!
That looks great Rachel
This is my new favorite framing thanks
This was helpful. I am new to diamond painting and have finished 3 pieces already but having trouble figuring out how to frame them. I saw stretcher bars in an art store near me but wasn’t sure how to use them or if they would work. After watching this video I think I will give them a try. So thank you for making this video!
Great painting! very beautiful. Full watched.
That looks so pretty
Thanks so much for this video, and for the link to the supplier. Very helpful 👍👍
This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you 😊
Hi Rachel that looks amazing. Worth all the 310 drills lol. Will definitely keep this method in mind. Great video as always have a great day
Thank you so much im gonna try this rachel

Great idea. Gonna try it. Ty
I would definitely try it
Very original! Great 👍 job!
thank you so much for this. l have some stretched frames to complete now l feel more confident to do them
I am going to try this!
So pretty
That Cherry Blossom painting is really pretty. Great framing Rachel. At first I wasn't too sure about it but after you finished it I really liked how it made your painting look. :)
Thanks 😁💜
Thanks for the tutorial. I have been wanting to try it but it seemed overwhelming. You have built up my confidence. I think I will give it a try after the corona virus fiasco comes to completion.
I love this❤thank you sooooo much
Thank you . I did enjoy
That finish looks great. I actually have a frame like that on my desk but its bit too big for the painting. I think I might try to saw off a few inches on two of the frame pieces so I can make it work. Your video was very helpful since its my first time using these.
You are the best!! I need to frame my diamond paintings but it's so expensive and I can't find the right sizes. This helped so much!
Love it ! Thank you for this tutorial !
You are so welcome!
Fantastic job
I'm new to all this so am learning as I watch, just became a subscriber.
Welcome!
There are so many different ways to frame these canvases. It's always nice to see how someone else does it. Everyone has their own preferred way. As easy as you made this look, I would still be afraid of messing it up. LOL I think I'll stick to the way I have found for myself - mounting the canvas to a colored mat board and putting it in a ready made frame behind glass. Thank you for sharing your method. I would really like to see if you do other methods as well. BTW, LOVE the cherry blossom canvas on your wall!! Hugs to you, James, and Luna.
Trust me, if I had mat board and frames available here, I'd only do that too! Hehe. I actually bought two paintings specifically to put into frames that I already own... That was before I found this shop.
I only started diamond painting this year, and I've mostly seen newer videos of yours, so it was surprising to hear a little bit of a southern accent in this video! I've never really noticed in your recent videos, so it must have faded out more over the past few years. Anyway, thanks for sharing this! I'll definitely be trying this on one of my completed canvases. 😀
That is amazing, I might have to try this way of framing DP's. It is so hard to find frames that fit perfectly.
You can use 100% acetone nail polish remover to remove the legend and any words.
Looks beautiful, looks kinda hard, maybe I'll try it sometime in the future.
Nice!
Congrats on over 37k subscribers!!!
I love how mellow you are.
Looks great l would do that with mine for sure
You should be recording that voice for the CALM app. So refreshing 🙏
Beautiful! I got stretch bar frame size 30x40cm last year ago but not try it yet. Thank for how to.
😍💜
also... I am so happy I watched this video, because I bought these type frames for some diamond painting mandalas I made, but had no idea how to do the edges and the corners - so I put them away to sort out another time. Now I can get them done... just need to know what kind of black tape you used around the edges. Thank you!
Thanks.
I live in the states so aliexpress may not be an option for me but im sure between etsy and michaels ill find something that works.
Personally i would prefer if the drills match [as close as possible] the edges with little overhand like 3 of the 4 sides of this pic. So ill probably add/subtract 1cm/
Or 1/4in to my paintings when i get around to framing them.
Thank you so much!!!! Also, where did you get the "Cherry Blossom" I am in love with it!!
I agree, you had enough stars. It was better to show more of the blue. Very beautiful. I might this way of framing, though I generally prefer to deal them and put them under glass. It seemed a bit complicated but when you did it it didn't seem that hard. Thank you so much!💘💘💘Morri
When you're measuring your stretcher bars, are you measuring the internal measurement or the external measurement? I ask, because it looks like they're each cut at a 45 degree angle so there will be a few centimeter difference between those measurements. This would be really easy for me to recreate with a 1x2, a miter saw and a staple gun.
Knowing my luck, beads would fall off left right and centre. I would definitely have to seal it with some type of gloss glue. All your dps look incredible. 👌👌
Hey Rachel. What a wonderful job of framing your buck. The only concern I would have with open framing is dust. Nana is not big on having to dust more things (wink wink) LOL. You do incredible work. Take care and hope to see you again soon. ♥
I don't mind, there's already dog fur everywhere 🤣
@@RachelRaeCraft ROFLO I hear ya. My sweet Hannah doesn't shed, thank goodness!!
Rachel, would you please provide me the link to order a custom frame size? Would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you so much for this. I have some stretcher bars now know how to use them properly. Do you need to back the frame to keep little insects out of frame once complete please
Good video. I think the term you are looking for is "subtract." :)
That’s wonderful , so love the idea...did you seal your dp?what could be the downside of this kind of framing?
These look awesome. Do you seal your diamond paintings first?
Interesting.
For the bottom, they sell strips of adhesive rhinestones that would look pretty. They have lots of colors. Just an idea.
Yes, those make it so beautiful!
Hi Rachel, I have a question about framing under glass. Should I use adhesive to the back of the painting and put it on the cardboard that comes with the picture frame? I didn't and just used tape to hold it to the cardboard and I think because of its weight, it's showing a wrinkle that will probably get worse with time. It seems to me then that I should glue it on first and then put it behind glass. By the way, I will definitely be trying these wooden bars you just demonstrated. The DP that I'm currently framing is for one of my grandsons, so it needs more protection!
Thanks a lot I just finished my 35X35 first canvas and your info was great, but you didn’t mention what kind a tape you are using. Would you plz let us know for newbies like me :)
Thank you for this ! It’s my favorite way to frame so far. Would you mind sharing where you purchased Friends of the Maiden?
Love your videos! I was wondering what microphone/ camera you use?
Hi! Mostly I just use my phone, Huawei P30
I love your channel but honestly It would be nice to be acknowledged by you in answering questions...oh well
Hey I do my diamond paintings on a door table too lol
Hi Rachel! Thank you so much for this idea! I'm still a novice diamond painter and have never framed a piece (tbh I only have one finished piece lol) but have been wandering what would be the best way to do it. Would you advise to seal the painting or not?? Thank you xx
Hi Celia! I only seal if there are popping drills. I don't think it is necessary at all otherwise, but that's just me 😊
@@RachelRaeCraft thank you! I don't think they are popping at the minute but the quality isn't great so I'm worried about the future. Thank you for answering xx
Were did you buy this from kit , such a great idea thanks for sharing so many great tips and ideas. Love your channel. Greetings from Canada.
Hi Lynda, the link is just below the video! The store is on Aliexpress
This looks like so much work, just for me to end up ruining my painting; I don’t trust myself! My paintings are all sitting in my portfolio because I’m too afraid to ruin them during this process.
Hi hun lovely painting, what is it called? This is the 1st time I've seen how to frame thank you for showing us how to..(just found the name in the comments 😘)
