    I've made linzer cookies with this recipe, and the family absolutely loved it. The most important thing to to roll out the dough on a floored surface instead of between 2 parchment papers (I tried that method and the dough sticks to the parchment). I also press out the shape and then stick the whole thing back in the fridge for 10 minutes before taking off the excess dough around the shapes (while waiting i just roll out another piece of dough)

      Tee Ei thx! I always have problem cutting cookies into shapes. They always stick on the cookie cutter or when I lift them up from the parchment they break.

      I usually have that problems too, so what I do is dip the cookie cutter in flour before cutting, and instead of lifting the shapes off the parchement paper, I just lift off the excess dough and leave the shapes on the parchment then transfer that sheet to the baking tray straight to the oven :D

    can I spread the jam on the cookies and store them for a while, or will the jam make them soggy? I'm trying to find a recipe for cookies filling that doesn't make the cookies soggy since I have to send them to a friend.

    Made this but the mass was soft even after 2 hrs in the fridge, so I add it more flour, the taste was really good, everyone love it.

      +CherezadaMe the linzer cookies are usually made with nuts .. hazelnuts , walnuts or almonds, they do give a specific nutty flavor to the cookies.

    Is store bought almond flour the same? Only ingredient is ground almond so I'm guessing it will work? Or do I have to ground my own almonds?

    I tried it today it was a bit hard? Why do u think that happened? My mother n low makes it comes softer and the with more rich flavour.. what should i do ?

      did you add more flour than required? they also soften very well if you leave them with the filling for several hours

    Nice video. A very helpful tip is to place the cookies on the cookie sheet BEFORE you remove the center cutout portion.

    If I can’t use ground almond because of allergie, I have to put more 100 gr flour?

      Almond is for the flavour, u could try other nuts instead or yes u may just use flour but the cookie will taste like butter cookies instead
