LYRICS
Heavens falling out of the sky
Sends a message to you, and I
See people crawling out of their trees
Chained to sickness, the dogs are free
I want to be saved
From the sound, the sound
The world is spitting out
Only love can save me now
Gone so down
Lost is all I found
Only love can save me now
Drowning madly in deep blue seas
Waves of sadness swallow me
No soul can hear me beneath the weight
No gods or saviors, no hands of fate
I want to be saved
From the sound, the sound
The world is spitting out
Only love can save me now
Gone so down
Lost is all I found
Only love can save me now

Pure magic. As long as we have artists like you around rock'n roll will never die.
Declan McKenna Its not hard rock but i link his style i find It a bit similar to tpr check rapture
Prettygarden is the band we need in 2021.
The reckless sound
A few more songs with Tom would be cool too
Agreed.
Rock is metal in the fire.
Love is the fire that made the metal we hear..., Think on that with me cult..... Think with us. For just a minute.
This could be the name they use to transform in the new age of Rock.
I missed Kim's guitar man! Chris would love this. Soundgarden for life.
:)
That riff gave me chills.
Soundgarden...Amen!
Wow.😻
All this time waiting for this record was worth it.Her talent is out of this world.
Super worth it they never disappoint
Fuuuuck that guitar solo is EVERYTHING 🧡
@@13gudadod You mean Kim Thayil lol. Matt is on drums
@@gamefreak457 I didn't even get your notification if I had not came back I would never know that I accidentally clicked on of the sugestations of names that my phone has(idk if you have it but some keyboard at the top show there space with three different words when typing ,they change as you go typing I must have clicked on of those that said Matt and since I write his name alot it automatically already went for the Cameron)
Prob around 3:02
The riff, the song, just like the good ol rock 'n roll in its golden age.
I might just be me but it reminds of nazareth
I think it sounds like Black Sabbath and Soundgarden.
This would have been a massive hit in the 90s!
Even in the 70s, something about this riff carries serious Iommi/Sabbath vibes, which Soundgarden always did anyway.
@@moreblack I agree, I also thought of Black Sabbath!
I like the song and it's better than 99% of the shit that is released today but i dont agree.
@@moreblack It would be fun to hear a young Ozzy sing this.
@@liberumiudicium6329 if there weren't young kids worshiping tick tokers and idiotic "stars" and they had ways to be exposed to real music that they didn't SELF curate then this would be bigger. The internet fucking ruined the music industry.
This album isn’t number one on billboard right now for no reason. What a masterpiece!
Definitely got the Soundgarden vibe here. Every song on this album is great. Really impressive work 🤘
What's your favorite in the album?
@@13gudadod Ummm... This, "25", "And So It Went" or "Harley Darling". You?
Witches burn, death by rnr too. At this point we can say everything in the album is 🔥
Damn, this girl has pipes. This song is fucking killer. You can absolutely hear that the Soudgarden guys put their stamp on it.
I like how she occasionally channels Cornell's singing style (like that lazy, closed mouth approach at 1:13 and that little voice crack a few seconds later). Matt drums and Kim's wah are absolutely unmistakable, they created such an iconic sound together.
👀ya got a good listening ear i didn't even catch that
Olá pessoal! 😍 It's true! We are an alternative metal band and The Pretty Reckless is one of our biggest influences. So we made a cover version of the song "25" ua-cam.com/video/Di6c3-cD2ts/v-deo.html
It's actually a country sounding vocal lick he did alot, such as All Night Thing. My only criticism is to me, the vocals aren't aggressive enough. I'm not sure if the vocals are meant to be sad or angry. Neither are landing for me. If I'd produced this I would have purposely pissed off Taylor right before she laid down the vocals, to get a more emotional/dramatic/authentic sound.
@@OddSide6 @OddSide6 I was thinking about "Preaching the end of the world", but that's a great example as well of that typical Cornell vocal lick!
@@OddSide6
That is sort of simple thinking, the music and sound one outputs is not always a reflection of the internal, and sometimes rage takes time to build and even when it does doesn't someone will let it out, and even if they do that doesn't mean that they will create the sound you want.
Most people sound tonally stupid when when they are angry
This has that unmistakeable Soundgarden vibe. So refreshing to hear a real song..so scarce anymore
You could've told me that riff is from a deleted track from Badmotorfinger and I would've believed you.
Definitely could’ve gone alongside Outshined 🤘
The experience that this song and all the others on the album bring us is that it has become gold. In fact, Taylor Momsen has matured her voice, her songwriting and her way of making music, an album like this in such a twisted and insane moment like the one we are living in, her music touches us and has such a rich ideology, she is so young and manages to be mature to the point of being an artist that can't be found in today's, or yesterday's, days... if she had been in the 70's/80's/90's she would be an ICON. But she came after all the icons left, to become unique and start and spread the flame of rock n roll, that is forgotten but about to get warmed up. This woman is the most genuine movement of freedom, power and rock n roll
I mean now in a way she is exclusive and unique there is no one like her so I see this I kinda of good thing sure it would've been fun if she was born in the same time as the icons
Amen!
'rich ideology?'
EPIC!!! No one sings like Chris and Taylor anymore 😍😍
Extra like for the reference 👍
Once again Taylor and her band have risen to a higher level...no longer can be dismissed as just another good band.
You do know that Kim and Matt from Soundgarden are playing guitar and drums on this right?
Thanks Rick Beato!!!
This is one of the best songs I've heard in a few years.
Dammmnnn...what a great song!!!
Haha, also found out about this band because of Beato :D
I mean they are REALLY REALLY fucking underrated.
Agreed
Well yeah they were third wave band. In fact one of the first to actually get noticed. Before it really started taking off. Same is true for panic! at the disco.
(Of course talking about the three waves of rock first wave: everything from the birth to the 80s. Second wave: 90s to 10’s. Third wave: what we’re entering now. (Roots movement retro sounds New contemporary post modern sounds. Modern AOR.)) oh and fun fact Foo Fighters (a 2nd wave band) Actually went third wave. Their new album medicine at midnight is very roots route based in roots stylized album.
And there’s also talk at five finger death Punch might go third wave.
Ivan moody, did the club at 6 AM and a bunch of other artists for charity talking about coming to terms with your tragic past. It’s called “maybe it’s time.“ And in addition their latest album seems to be doing the same thing as lover by Taylor Swift. Where it’s painted in the image of Sala panda in tracks. But there’s deeper messages behind them. The song living the dream, Sounds like it’s just doing his typical night was pandering about how there’s no help and we shouldn’t be trying. But if you listen to it more and more he realizes talking about how this is toxic and it needs to be fixed. Indulging ourselves in blood and sorrow No thought about tomorrow part of The machine or so it seems.” Basically it sounds like they’re tackling the fact that it’s turned into a goddamn cold. And in addition, it’s not your typical Death Punch sound but the guitar Amp sounds they’re using sound very analog. But it also seems like they put them up to the digital arpeggiate. When it first came on the radio I couldn’t tell Who it was. Taylor Swift did a lot of the same things with her style in lover. I mean not guitar sound but she used your typical 2010’s sound, and merged it with other components that she wouldn’t normally use.
Yes right, they deserve better, but the world is sleeping on rock and roll its been years now, Pop and Trap dominates
@@LeonDanteMusica True but the generation that put that garbage up to the main stream JUST reached 40. (Millennials) And their kids are being shown this as… Well kids. Not to mention all the new bands coming out lately. Royal Blood, Greta Van Fleet, Pop Evil The struts 1,000 others that’ll take too much time to mention. You may not know it but there’s even a modern AOR movement. And hell there’s even people from my generation (Centrials) Who are sick and tired of this crap. So I think you can see where I’m going with this.
Hell! music in general starting to gain more instrumentation! yes even rap and EDM! We got analog rap and DJ fusion! Just keep your eye on Gen alpha. In 2023 shits likely going to go down! I’m telling you dude it is a total rock ‘n’ roll Renaissance!!! I mean you need to check out the bands we are going to roll this shit!
who? Mat Cameron? Not really :D Drummer in Pearl Jam, Kim Thayil - guitarist Soundgarden :D none of them is underrated
That riff is so brutal. Love the drums
Этот альбом определённо сделал мой год! Спасибо Вам!Низкий поклон.
TPR really be out there doing the most and carrying on Chris Cornell’s legacy…
Truth
Truth!!
Can you elaborate on that? :)
@@overactiive Chris fronted both Soundgarden and Audioslave. Taylor fronted Soundgarden at the Chris Cornell Tribute show after his passing, and now on this album you have one song featuring Kim and Matt from Soundgarden and the very next song featuring Tom Morello from Audioslave
@@elizamt1994 TPR were supporting Soundgarden on their final tour. Taylor has said she and Chris parted with "See you tomorrow" but of course they never did.
Her singing I wanna be saved when she said In older albums I don't wanna be saved(fucked up world for reference) but also In the album she says it
"Out of my own I don't need be saved"death by rock n roll
Edit:No gods or saviors"i know it isn't about anarchism but that came into mind
Edit 2;"chained to sickness the dogs are free"only love can save me now
"I wanna go with the sickness in my throat"death by rock and roll
That’s exactly what I was thinking about when I heard this song for the first time 😄
Haha sameeee
Literally just came here to comment this!!!
I've missed hearing Kim's guitar these past three+ years. Not to take anything away from Taylor, but I was almost expecting to hear Chris's voice after that guitar solo. Still haven't been able to process the loss
❤️you're not alone
Same here. I absolutely love Taylor’s voice, but how good it would’ve felt to hear Chris’ voice on this track.
Absolutely. Chris would’ve killed it. He’s second to none. This song is awesome, and we need more of this collaboration.
@@sivaones Meh
It still doesn't feel real that Chris is gone. The same goes for Prince. The pain of both loses will never completely go away.
One of the best rock songs I've heard for years. Shades of early Black Sabbath on that opening riff. Heavy sexy cool song.
I already love that riff so much! And I kinda want Jerry Cantrell to do a guest spot with TPR.
Kinda gives me a hands all over over vibe when the vocals kick in. Pretty cool blend of something new and something familiar.
Holy fuck total hands all over vibes with the verses
True
Ye absolutely spot on hands all over louder than love vibes
You guys, Taylor, Ben, Mark & Jamie; all of you are now an inspiration to a generation. Bravo for this amazing, heartfelt, and technically genius album.
The layers... I am having a breakdown just from the perfection of those guitars... and Taylor's voice... just grinning from ear to ear listening to this.
I love the 90s grunge feel to this song. Wow. *goosebumps*
Got dammit Kim and Matt are ridiculous. 🙌 I really need more music from these guys asap 😪
:(
Agreed. They should form a band with Taylor as vocalist and writer, because she really channeled Chris on this album and his influence really shines through her.
Yes it's definitely time to get a singer.
Alice and chains did it. Time to rock.
Sounds like Kim and Matt are ready to reboot.
Sounds great and must feel great after all that time
I hope so
That would be wonderful. Hard to imagine how they replace Chris, but Cameron and Thayil are so good they don't necessarily need him to be great. But any project they do I'd immediately be interested in.
Would say this is her best album! Love every. Single. Song.
A glance at the comments and it seems apparent that we are starving for more rock bands, that are energetic and great musicians.
Too bad some of the longtime bands don't create avenues for up and coming bands. Something like Ozzfest.
If only labels would shift some focus away from rap and pop, and look for new bands. There is a starving market for fresh, bold rock music.
Man they need more tours and I agree shared venues also alternate headliners everyone on the tour should headline once keep the egos in check and let it actually be about the exchange of emotion and energy let it be MUSIC AGAIN !!!!
lol I never was this early. But hey, this is pure gold-
Turning gold
Очень нравится вокал Тейлор, прямо идейная наследница Криса Корнелла. А ещё коллабы с Soundgarden греют мою душу !)
Согласен )
Ohhhhhhhh KIM THAYIL how amazing and magnificent it is to hear your guitar again, please do more with Pretty Reckless.
1st time in a long time, for me, a hard rock band with a female singer I really like. That is, the whole picture: her voice the songs the band itself FINALLY. The cherry on top is, lol, Cindy Lou Who, ROTFLMAO ITS SOOOO GREAT.
Who else is here after watching Rick Beato?
👇
I was here before Rick Beato and then saw his Vid and came back, his reaction to seeing an odd time signature was priceless 🤘
@@amin9245 Yeah! That was fun wasn't it??
@@geraldhartley Yup, wish he listened to the solo tho and the children at the end of And so it went
Here I am man, maybe this band deserves a closer look..
@@amin9245 Same.
This is freaking GREAT. TPR, Kim & Matt channeling classic Soundgarden hard with this, Taylor sounds incredible here.
She sings everything with her whole heart, putting everything she has into every song; that's why her songs are so good, and she's the best!
I’ve already listened to the new cd, pretty bad ass!!!!!
Did you get the vinyl?I have the green one
I’ve already listened to it twice, can’t get it out of my head. Love the mixture of older and newer rock on it. Like Harley Darling and Rock and Roll Heaven.
Great 90s Grunge like song. Ya we missed this sound!
this is so amazing omfg
I heard this song for the first time when I was clicking through random Music Choice channels on my tv and went to rock yesterday. I loved it and HAD to hear it again. It’s been stuck in my head AAAALLLLL dayyyyy
Rock is alive and well, and in *very* *VERY* good hands.

TPR really never fails to make my soul ROCK and my ears to be addicted to each one of their songs. TAYLOR💗💗
TM. Right now you are my favorite singer. Your songs are incredible and beautiful with soul. Soul is what's missing in music there day's. I'm 63
So awesome to hear Kim and Matt working again, even if it's not the way I wanted, thank you Taylor for letting this happen, I know we all still miss Chris very much!
Omfg that guitar! So reminds me of my younger years hearing Badmotorfinger and being like FUCK YEAH
I was like: I get Soundgarden vibes from this song. And then I say who co-wrote this song.
Great work!
She said in interview that since this has soundgarden vibe she especially tried to contact the guys to see if it's something their interested because otherwise people would just say the band is copying them
Taylor wrote the song, not co written
Rick Beato send me, awesome song, killer riff and vocals:3
Melhor álbum disparado te amo Tay Momsen 🇧🇷😍🇧🇷😍🇧🇷😍
The intro!!! I really miss Soundgarden and i love this girl.
This is great. SO good to hear new music coming out that is this good. We need it!
Loved this song so much . It Rocks can't wait to see it live.
OMFG I LOVE THIS SONG! TAYLOR UR AMAIZING!!!!
She is indeed
It's so good
And i thought it would be slower because of the name. I loved it!
She has Soundgarden playing behind her so there’s nothing slow about it that’s for sure
I thought It was going to be something slow like something in the way but Its quite energetic and fast ,i like It better
My expectations were high, Taylor and Co blew me away again! Thank you!
The pretty reckless is gotta be my favourite band now
Reminds me of black sabbath.....somehow Iomminish.

@@judithw5836 Hmmmmmmmnee eher nich :p
Yeah, I could get behind that. Which is not a bad thing at all - high praise, even.
its slow and fat like the doom metal of sabbath.
if you like sabbath, youd like "draconian, pale t0r†ured blue"
or "clouds, if these walls could speak"
thank u so much for all of this
This band is the best at this moment by world
I wasn't paying attention to the guy talking the 1st time I heard this on XM but the instant I heard the opening riff it got my attention and I KNEW that was Kim Thayil and Matt's drumming is unique so I knew it was him so my 1sy thought was they finally released the unreleased album Soundgarden was working on when Chris died. Then Taylor 7 starts singing and I was even more amped up. It was the 1st time I thought Soundgarden could come back like AIC did. They need to go ahead and ask her to join the band and go on tour. Id drop the $150-200 to go. I saw them 2x at Lollapalooza in the 90s and loved them. Taylor crushed it at the Cornell tribute to. They seem to have good chemistry and her being a woman means she can sing the songs her way and not have to go through what Duvall has had to with Alice In Chains. She don't have to give up her band either she can be like Cameron when he was playing with both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
Love to have you back
Sounds almost like Soundgarden's song Holy Water
The way it goes back into the opening riff just after that big chorus is so damn good.
Really really good. More of this. This song needs a sick video to go along with it.
From Pretty Reckless
To Very Reckless this band is puttin it down just fine as they are. A RicknRoll star
just bought this on Itunes, last time i purchased any music was in 2001
Just great!
i heard about this song because of Beato. My new favorite band.
I was so looking forward to finally hearing you live at Download last summer, and this song is just reminding me why!! Soon, soon. Keep on making fantastic music
picked up the CD today - awesome album - this is my favorite song off it. Listened to it today for 4 hours straight - great work!
Haven't listened to them for about 7 or 8 years.
Holy shit they've grown.
Is only expected after so much loss don't you think?
Yeah the last 2 albums they really tap the 70/80/90's itch , incredible vocalist helps
This album is amazing 🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ they never disappoint
Who can dislike this masterpiece?!😭😭😔🤘
I am sure Ed Sheeran fans and Taylor Swift fans hate it.
I'm really choked by How good this álbum is
this song is my obsession
This is so Rock I just wanna Roll
This really hits home!
I love it sm♡
Fucking perfection... This album is a fucking masterpiece and Taylor is the Goddess of Rock! 🖤🖤🖤
Man Taylor Momsen has such a great voice! I love TPR they kick ass.
Don't know what to say.. I always thought that they were another lame new age rockband but this album changed my mind completely. Holy shit, this is a good album and they have risen at a whole new level.
Kim Thayil really killed that guitar solo🔥
thank you so much
The CHILLLLLSSSSS are overwhelming!! AMAZING song!
