The most underrated band in rock. They deserve far more praise and attention than they are getting ( this is the most likes I have ever got for any youtube comment ever)
They get exactly as much as they deserve. The drum and guitars are so boring if you are the player you can fall asleep. Taylor carries this but overall, I guess everything has been sequenced. Generic production results in a generic song, no matter the style. They have a lot of potential, shame some producer is basically making them perform with one hand tied behind their back. Maybe they are awesome live though.
Also a personal issue with their lyrics - they are too on the nose and literal. Does the American music scene lack poets or something? It is not just TPR. Almost all music nowadays lacks metaphors and hidden meaning. It used to be, you had to google what the text was about and then it clicks, while you could attribute it to 5-6 other things depending on your stage in life. "All witches burn"? Yeah, I wonder what she is singing about, lol!

The experience that this song and all the others on the album bring us is that it has become gold. In fact, Taylor Momsen has matured her voice, her songwriting and her way of making music, an album like this in such a twisted and insane moment like the one we are living in, her music touches us and has such a rich ideology, she is so young and manages to be mature to the point of being an artist that can't be found in today's, or yesterday's, days... if she had been in the 70's/80's/90's she would be an ICON. But she came after all the icons left, to become unique and start and spread the flame of rock n roll, that is forgotten but about to get warmed up. This woman is the most genuine movement of freedom, power and rock n roll

Again, The Pretty Reckless is a level above all else in the genre. Like others have said. This is a theme song waiting for a cult classic mini-series.

I'm 46, been into rock since I was 12, maybe younger, I would put TPR in my top ten bands easily.
I’m 67 and this is the best band I’ve found this century. I even ordered the vinyl and then went and got their prior albums. 25 is my favorite though. Would see them live but they only open for other bands I’m not into (in this area)

As you ✨should✨this is pure raw art filled with real emotions
I would interpret this song as an ode to the struggle of women who, like witches, have been castigated and controlled by men. Many, like the protagonist of this song, used any means necessary to kill their oppressors while pretending to obey just to get close enough to stick the blade in.
And in light of Marilyn Manson's scandal for his actions, I remember his lecherous behaviour towards Taylor back in the Golden Gods some years ago during their performance. It was not rehearsed and he made her feel so uncomfortable. Now he's the one _who'll get his turn and for that, he'll burn_

For anyone that hasn't already, just buy the damn album. It's amazing from start to finish. Seriously one of the best rock albums I've ever heard. Taylor is a force of nature, and the rest of the band is right there with her. A few of the guitar solos are mind blowing.

The solos are really not that hard to play either. I love it when a musician makes keeps things simple but it still sounds bad ass. Something I'm trying to do better at myself.
