Hi sasha, I really want to start bass fishing... maybe you can do a video on a good beginner's rod, reel, line and lures tutorial... really like your channel. Awesome stuff👍
Maybe you could do an update on the summer bait selection for tackle Thursday (just a suggestion I know I’ve been looking for a lot of pond hopping bags like yakpak has a lot of videos on the format would be excited for your take on it ) appreciate all the vids you have made really good suggestions regarding SA
I haven't been bass fishing in SA for a long time sitting in China teaching at the moment but the shocking pink and pearl white and shocking yellow senkos have been working great here@@BassingwithSascha
Shot dude Havent fished in a while so starting to learn all the things again so me and my little dude can go fish. Thanks for the info. Do you take people out fishing sometime by anychance❓️ Cheers
I'm glad that my content is helping you out. At the moment I don't take people with on the boat. I have been 👍thinking about it tho. So maybe in the near future
Great content. Trying to catch up on all the videos. Don’t know if I missed it but did you make a video on how to choose lure colour according to water and weather conditions?
Hey Sascha!I use a Mushroom head jig with a massive wheet gard and i'm not sure if it would affect the hook set on the fish but if you can, would please send me some suggestions!
The coloure june bug has grow on me over the years fishing. I have realised that it is a very good colour for clear water and dirty water. I dont know what it is with june bug but the fish seem to like that colour
So I do fish a jig, but I only fish it in really deep water and when it’s a rocky bottom. I haven’t had much luck catching fish with it so I mostly fish a Texas rig.
When I started bass fishing I threw alot of the buzz toads. I think I only caught one fish. i've tried throwing topwater lures after that but never had any luck with any of them. So i just never used the top water baits ever again.
I think if you do a giveaway everyone will love it 😍
HAHA, i will think about it👍
Fantastic video! I’m all for supporting fellow anglers🤙🏾👍🏾🎣💯
Thanks Man, I really appreciate the support
Also from SA, i like to use swimbait, really works nice in summer and winter
Nice. I've just gotten into swimbait fishing. I think it is very enjoyable.
So glad I found this channel, as I'm new to bass fishing. Great stuff👌

Sorry it’s so late Jamin. I will do that for you. Keep a look out for the video 👍🏻
A good reel okuma or diawa or Shimano 7:0:1 ratio and a medium action rod with a fast tip is an all-round great rod. For beginners.
The Hollow popping frog. One of my favorites. They are weedless, so you can easily cast those hard to reach areas.
It's never been my favorite lure. Slowly getting into the frog action
Those are nice summer bait. I like ned rig.
Yeah the ned rig is a winner. Z-Man has a great selection of ned style baits, and they all good.

Abit late on this one but just found your channel
My favourite bait is a junebug z craw on an original black and blue chatter bait
Nice, I've actually stared to enjoy throwing a chatterbait. It really works well
We have a dam house at Heyshope really been struggling the last year to smash the bass, hopefully this helps for summertime!
Well lets hope so.👍
@@BassingwithSascha It indeed did smacked 12 and the biggest of 2.6 kgs, thanks man😄
Shocking pink or yellow senkos are great baits to try
I hear they do so well. I just cant get myself to purchase a bait in those crazy colors. I'm more of a natural color lure guy.
I haven't been bass fishing in SA for a long time sitting in China teaching at the moment but the shocking pink and pearl white and shocking yellow senkos have been working great here@@BassingwithSascha
Nice one!
Thanks Man
Zoom Lizzard on Texas works for me always
Yo, Have you seen Africa Lures? Those work really nice.

I don’t have a specific video on that exact topic but through out my videos I do explain abit about colours and weather conditions
Liked and subbed!

Hey Sascha!I use a Mushroom head jig with a massive wheet gard and i'm not sure if it would affect the hook set on the fish but if you can, would please send me some suggestions!
The mushroom heads from z man have a weed guard on it, they aren't big but they have been doing fine for me.
My most used bait is a purple fluke caught a 2kg with it
Thats awesome dude. Well done👍
Try the june bug fluke
The coloure june bug has grow on me over the years fishing. I have realised that it is a very good colour for clear water and dirty water. I dont know what it is with june bug but the fish seem to like that colour
Just getting into the hobby, and have tried a few different types of lures.
What's your opinion on spinner baits?
It’s a very good bait, super versatile, you can fish it slow fast, on the bottom on the top. I myself don’t fish it enough 😊
Where in Witbank dit you catch the big one I'm from Witbank lol
Witbank or Bronkhorspruit?
All time best bass lure is a zoom baby bass color baby fluke....
Yeah I have been told I should use flukes more. So I have been using it a lot more and getting my confidence up on using it.
What's your feeling on jigs? I'm new to bass fishing and noted that all sites list them as their nr1. Maybe different in SA?
So I do fish a jig, but I only fish it in really deep water and when it’s a rocky bottom. I haven’t had much luck catching fish with it so I mostly fish a Texas rig.
isn’t that a mcarthy craw?
They actually very similar but no. It's the zoom speed craw
Where is your top water baits ?
I don’t throw any top water. It’s not a strong style of fishing for me🤣
@@BassingwithSascha Try some Buzz bait and whopperpoppers. You wil love it, when you get into it.
When I started bass fishing I threw alot of the buzz toads. I think I only caught one fish. i've tried throwing topwater lures after that but never had any luck with any of them. So i just never used the top water baits ever again.
I do throw a popper every once in a while but also never huge success
Hello i see you fish whit the stb box how does the payment work
Hi Austin. I just do a direct EFT, or if you prefer doing via Credit Card you can do that to.
Cool man hope that helped
@@BassingwithSascha Thanx buddy it does help
Where do you get those boxes ?
So go to www.secrettacklebox.co.za and it will explain step by step how to purchase a box
All the decent bass I've caught were on spinner baits.
Nice man, I've just gotten into throwing spinner bait again. I really enjoy it.
Top 5 lures
Yeah Top 5 Lures👍
Anyone keen for fishing next week @Rietvlei ?
Rietvlei is out Pretoria side close to Irene right?
Yeah
You keen ?
I'll been keen. Cant this weekend tho. Hit me up on Instagram if you have. We can plan over instagram
75 buks for the yamasenko is an amazing price, lol. Still not worth it tho...
Hey 75 buks is totally worth it. they usually cost round about 140 buks. Which senkos do you throw?
@@BassingwithSascha Yum dingers are my personal favorite. Cullems senkos also do the job. 40 bucks for pack of 10, does well for a student.
WOW that is cheap, No wonder you say R75 rand is still to expensive. Well ill give them a go
Thanks so much. Do you have an email address?
I do have an email address, what would you need it for?
