I been bass fishing for the best part of 20 years and have always caught fish on a crankbait. Any good ol crankster. Lol. After all these years I look back at all those fish I caught and wonder, what have I accomplished by catching all those bass? All I ever did was catch one and release. Catch another and release. I realised that there is something worth more than catching bass all the time. Like enjoying the moment of being outdoors. Therefore the best lure for me personally that enhances the experience of being outdoors is a good ol jerkbait soaking. AKA dead sticking. It gives you the opportunity to slow down, and enjoy nature. Ultimately fishing is not about catching but enjoying. Hope I helped someone see the light. Love yall
Video was awesome, and look into your minds bass fishing tactics. I was surprised that there was no love for lipless crank baits? Great video none the less, also your instruction on why you like something, are priceless. This is something other you tubers leave out of their content sometimes!
Fantastic video! I thought for sure a finesse swimbait would be up there. Do you have a video already on whacky rigs and using them around docks/cover?
If I only had one bait to use to catch a fish to save my life it would be a 1/16 oz ned rig with a 3.5" Zman Trick shotz in green pumpkin , next is a senko in green pumpkin purple, a zoom super fluke in sungill, a jackhammer stealth blade in bhites delight then a shakeyhead with a baby brushhog in green pumpkin blue
I like it. We’ll done. I have found that on the toughest days drop shots and senkos can get the ‘skunk’ out of my kayak. Do you use the 3/0 gama hook to t-rig the 4.5 robo worm? Did I hear that right?
Ooh, this sounds good! #1 I think I’ve only caught 1 fish ever on! #3 is a go to, but I thought #5 would be a paddle tail swimbait! I grew up with a drop shot (we didn’t call it that in the 80’s) and definitely need to fish it more this year. Great vid, as always.
I love that color on the square bill in the thin thumbnail...I got it as a special color in a 6 sack and I keep browsing the website hoping they will throw it up for sale
That is an encredibly comprehensive selection of baits. I think it's kinda funny how we make things more complicated than thsy need to be sometimes. Case in oint your 5 picks could catch fish anywhere almost any time of year.
A bit of advice for you: When you show baits like you have in this video, put something in the shot to show size. A quarter or dollar bill maybe or a ruler. Something everyone can relate to.
Great info! I still use old style baits. How about if only 5 texas rigs, what would they be for all year use. Most time I will have 6 or 7 rods out, all with different texas rigs.
Nathan have you the 6th sense axle swing swim jig? This spring will be my first time using any kind of a jig & I actually ended up buying an axle swing jig only because at the time that's all my local store had.
Those 6 senes crank baits you can’t beat them an the color schemes are 🔥like the bluegill candy an the bone colors an the jaint juice are my go to colors
You mentioned crankbait 50 is what you use most. Looking at the 6th sense there’s different types of 50(s, x, xr) which one would you recommend? Looking to getting my first crankbait
Can you do a 5 best spring fishing lures? It's getting to be super early spring in New York n heating up and I never catch fish during the best season to catch bigs 🤦🏻
Which crankbait is that on your screenshot man, and @ 1:40 mark. It looks like 6th Sense but I can’t find it. The blue striped one? Thanks New sub by the way 👍🏼
Are we talking most effective, or most fun? My answers would be similar to yours if we're talking most effective, but for most fun - gotta throw topwater frog in the discussion, whopper ploppers, glide baits, walking baits, jerk baits
@Brandonjames8046 im behind times this year is the first year i am going to throw a wacky rig ive been against it for awhile now but gave in and bought a set up just for wacky rigs....lol

Thank you! I skipped lipless cause I had the chatterbait!
@@nathanquincefishing7122 I see!

Great information, just found your channel and love the content. Have you done a video on bass shore fishing tactics?
I have not but I want to this year!
I look forward to it
Excellent video Nathan. Concise. Way to go!
Thanks!
Fantastic video! I thought for sure a finesse swimbait would be up there. Do you have a video already on whacky rigs and using them around docks/cover?
I do but there will be more this year! Finesse swimbait is one of my favorites for sure!
How about a video on how you tie to various lures. Tie direct, swivel etc?
If I only had one bait to use to catch a fish to save my life it would be a 1/16 oz ned rig with a 3.5" Zman Trick shotz in green pumpkin , next is a senko in green pumpkin purple, a zoom super fluke in sungill, a jackhammer stealth blade in bhites delight then a shakeyhead with a baby brushhog in green pumpkin blue
All good choices!
Any stickbait/worm will out fish anything
@@jimt5683 Depends how big a fish you want

I tried to pick the most versatile ones but paddle tail is a good one!
Thanks for the recommendations I ordered most of these lures you recommended in the video and hope to catch some bass👍😀
Good luck!
Love your videos Nathan, keep it up!
Thanks!
I love that color on the square bill in the thin thumbnail...I got it as a special color in a 6 sack and I keep browsing the website hoping they will throw it up for sale
I haven’t seen it yet!
Great video, as always !!!
Thanks!
That is an encredibly comprehensive selection of baits. I think it's kinda funny how we make things more complicated than thsy need to be sometimes. Case in oint your 5 picks could catch fish anywhere almost any time of year.
Absolutely!
For me it's
Zoom ultravibe speed worm
Hollow body frog
Jackhammer Chatterbait
Gambler Ez Swimmer
Fluke
Good choices!
What kind and what was the color of that crank bait u where holding ?? That was amazing looking color cranker
It’s a 6th sense crush 50x in an exclusive color from their 6 sack!
A bit of advice for you: When you show baits like you have in this video, put something in the shot to show size. A quarter or dollar bill maybe or a ruler. Something everyone can relate to.
Nathan Jackhammer is my favorite bait by far especially night fishing.
It’s pretty great!
Thank you, Nathan! Sure, MiniMag rocks!
I won't say specifics but mine are #1)Cordell, #2)strike king, #3)Yamamoto, #4) culprit , #5) could be one of many but Rapala,Smith wick, and etc 😆
Great info! I still use old style baits. How about if only 5 texas rigs, what would they be for all year use. Most time I will have 6 or 7 rods out, all with different texas rigs.
That’s true! I might do that!

I can look into doing that! I’ll have a lot of spring content coming soon!
how bout a video on the different kinds of hooks when rigging soft plastics
I could do that!

The blue striped one?
Thanks
New sub by the way

Thank you! I haven’t been able to find it on their website in a while they might have discontinued it
@@nathanquincefishing7122
Ah, just go ahead and mail me yours then lol
How do you drop shot on the river? Weights??
I vary the weight size based on current if you’re getting snagged often go lighter
I make a living year round with a 1oz swim jig white and black with a lil gold all over the south
First video already subbed
Thank you!
Spring smallmouth can not resist 6A Bomber in texas red or crawfish color
Nice!
i like there axle jigs..
What color is that in the thumbnail?
It was and exclusive color in the 6 sack!
@@nathanquincefishing7122 they need to release that one. Looks killer
No Ned rig? I’m very surprised by that Quince? Love your videos!
I figured I could do more with a dropshot!
Do you fish salt water
Occasionally!
Are we talking most effective, or most fun? My answers would be similar to yours if we're talking most effective, but for most fun - gotta throw topwater frog in the discussion, whopper ploppers, glide baits, walking baits, jerk baits
Oh I agree with that!
I love using these but I always catch like. 🤦🏽♂️
You had me intrigued until you said drop shot...lol
Drop shot is deadly just added on my arsenal when nothing works try dropshot you will be surprised
@Brandonjames8046 im behind times this year is the first year i am going to throw a wacky rig ive been against it for awhile now but gave in and bought a set up just for wacky rigs....lol
What no flukes on the list good list though
I was trying to pick lures I could use all months of the year but a fluke would be a good one!
Spinnerbaits work in bodies of water that have NEVER had a shad in them. And they get killed
No Ned?
No I felt I could do more with a dropshot
Jerkbait is always going to be tied on.
Good choice!
