for those of you looking for a 3ds, unless you have smaller hands or specifically want the smaller new 3ds, you should probably go for a new 3ds xl. bigger screens, battery, plays everything the exact same.
I really appreciate the comparison! I've only ever played the OG 2DS, but I'm curious about upgrading to a 3DS/N3DS for the 3D effect alone... Do you think it's worth it?
depends if your gonna be able to use it without any headaches etc.. maybe see if you can try it out first before buying, i have an old 3ds and the 3d is great when its lined up properly, their better on price too, ive not noticed any lack of power either so unless theres games (like minecraft, which dosent play well) that need a new 3ds, get an old one, maybe an xl if you find one at a good price
I have a og 3ds and a new galaxy xl. I play the og one because for some reason hair and dust specks managed to slip underneath my xl's touchscreen. I looked it up and it's a common problem with 3ds xls. Unless you want to play the 'new' exclusive 3ds games it isn't worth the upgrade.
The new 3ds and 3dsxl are to me some of the highest quality feeling Nintendo consoles. My new 3ds xl is one of my most coveted possessions honestly. And I’ve kept it in great condition. I also have a og model. And I personally prefer the matte dark gray vs the sort of clear plastic with color underneath. The new 3ds xl is goated to me. I’ll have to check out your other video. Also the wobbly hinge is apparently a fix for a problem the og ones had. The friction from the tight hinge caused the plastic to wear and crack over time. The new 3ds will last longer. But it bugs me as well. Wish they put like a rubber o ring or something that made it a bit less floppy.

I personally think the og one is more comfortable, but the speed and better quality is on the new 3ds.
