Hello, I have a polaris RZR XP 1000 (2014), I'm having problems heating this CVT when I use it severely for more than half an hour, the belt gets too hot and I realized that it loses its useful life ... the problem also occurs when I walk in the range of 30km without stopping, in the range of 90 to 100km / h, it also heats up the belt a lot! Would you have any option to change the air more to cool the CVT? I've already researched the internet, but I didn't find any option for this problem ... I thought about adding a fan cooler, only stronger, to force the CVT air circulation
I stole one of these off of a snowmobile trail.. have had it in my backyard for 3 years now, just keep it back there for the woods and land i have in the back, its a lot of fun!!!
I just did this tonight and yeah, they retract a small amount on their own. Rotating the drum causes the sheeves to constrict, which is why I think they recommend rotating 5 or so time before reinstalling the cover. I'll find out more when I take my RzR out again soon...
Ernesto Gonzalez the check engine light won’t go off as it’s a mechanical issue. If the machine jerks or jumps then is probably time for a new belt, this means it could be slipping.
Great Help!!! Thank you!! Helped us out Big Time!! Changing our busted belt @ PISMO BEACH....
Thank you. I love that you spent time on the little technical aspects like pressing back the clutch.
Should of used the stock clutch tool they provide instead of one probably nobody has
Thanks for showing us how to remove the clutch cover!!!
Anytime *dylan!*
Simple video, easy to follow, great edits. Thanks for the info!!
Good job Dustin
Great video and very helpful. Does the machine need to be in neutral ?
No, put the machine in park when changing the belt.
So you don't use scotch brite to scuff the sheave surfaces and you don't wash and scuff the belt? I thought that was standard practice.
*jworpet* that is good practice for sure. In this video our main focus was "how to replace" a utv drive belt. Thanks for sharing your tips with us.
Exactly like doing a alternator belt nice
I have 2020 xp 1000 changed stock tires to
30x10 - 15 do I need a bigger clutch?
What type of riding do you do with your vehicle?
Hey,i have bought a drive belt and i notice that i order the one for turbo model.

How do you change it on a Highlifter 1000 XP Ranger ESP
We have a video showing this process on a Ranger here: ua-cam.com/video/fCam-1cnc2M/v-deo.html

Whenever the tool presses apart the 2 sheeves and you install the belt. Does the 2 sheeves press back together by themselves?

Use the stock tool I'm doing this tomorrow I need some input
How long before the Check Engine light goes off???

Usually 1/4 mile after you restart the engine and the issue is Corrected. Drive at 1/2 throttle and it will clear itself soon.
I'd swap them square pucks out for round ones. You can already see the wear from them. Also, spring guard is on backwards. ;)
Some aftermarket trailing arms require the spring guards to be installed backwards.
You should have talked about belt tension and adjustment. Too loose or too tight etc etc.
*mobgma* There is no belt adjustment or tension adjustment on this set up. What machine do you have?

I cant get my cover off. I've tried everything... I'm about to take the damn shock off at this point
What's holding up the clutch cover from coming off? What machine are you working on?
2017 XP1K...I ended up finally getting it off. I found a video online that showed me how to get it off. Thanks for the reply though
Very nice unit! Glad you got it all figured out.
Very nice unit! Glad you got it all figured out.
The front of the cover comes off first, then the rear.
Why didn’t you use the one that everyone has instead of the one that you have to buy from you
What are you referring to?
Rocky Mountain ATV MC the clutch tool
Spelt sheave pronounced "shiv"
Polaris is screwing us with "change the oil every 25 hours and the belt every 1,000 miles"! Boo Polaris!
"directional belt" XD sorry.
replace every 6 months? this is a joke right?!
I've got 5000 miles on original belt and still running strong.
@@KarasCyborg yeah I've never destroyed a belt even after how hard I drive my family's
