Well I can attest to the worst belt, THe Gates G-Force! Vertical cracks after 100 hours in between every rib on non clutch side! Put on my new Polaris belt and threw that one in the trash. Breakin is painful but necessary. 22 XP genny 4 door. My next one will be either Hunterworks or the new bada$$ belt. I watched the youtube torture of that one. Pretty impressive.
@@Hunterworks Bean counters always convince companies to grab the cheaper branch, then the brand goes in the toilet and the bean counters move on. Sad cycle.
So when replacing converters we should be replacing the drive and driven converts to maintain consistency in converter angles. And not have one new converter/ angle and one old converter with a possible different angle?
hard to say without a pic inside the primary to see what the belt is touching. I have not seen a 500 atv clutch in person and as you know, we do not sell a belt for it.
I had bought a belt from yall and it literally exploded into a bunch a pieces after a rode a few days before hitting park low rpm trying to get my breaking in but when I got to the park I seen an opportunity to give it some real gas for a quick second and it exploded when I open my box it was just a bunch of small pieces and a lot of that string wrap around my clutches my question is you think it was because it did not break it in enough?? By the way I have 2023 can am x3 max rs turbo rr
I copy and paste this because I must type it a lot. Belt rubbing the cover depending on where the hitting occurs is one of several things, bad clutching mean a bad clutch kit or set up wrong, square pucks in secondary are slowing the close of the secondary and our round rollers fix that or a shaft spacing issue where the two shafts are too close together and our alignment tool fixes that or simply worn out clutches. Must be found. We have other videos for troubleshooting clutches, just ask if you want those too.
got a 2017 xp 1000 got misfire codes and cylinder 2 codes poppin up changed my primary clutch new spark plugs and still keeps boggin down and going in limp mode losing power any tips?
Typically that is not the clutch but it does not hurt to watch our clutch troubleshooting videos and see what you see and send me any pics of anything suspect via email todd@hunterworks.com
I definitely don’t disagree, But some of us can’t just ride around and break it in have to go to parks and sometimes we don’t even put 30 miles on in a couple rides. There need be a different way like Being able to purchase and already broken in belt
It could be done but would be costly. Just accept you might damage one doing that and buy another, we will sell you the second at a deal if it fails and you know it is you.
Video came out at the perfect time. Got your fresh start clutch kit and belt in the mail yesterday
Enjoy
Could you "pre break in" a belt? Break it in,then keep it as a spare? Then break in the one your going to use. And run that one. Its on a 2024 XP1000
If you wanted to go to the trouble you can

Badass belts are junk. I shredded one on my 3rd trip out.
Baddass are now made overseas, Timken has stopped making them

In theory yes but never saw that as an real issue
Do you guys make a belt for a 2014 Polaris 570 sportsman efi?
Sorry we do not, I recommend the OEM or a Ultimax brand
@ will probably just go with a Polaris oem belt, was gonna try y’all’s belts out but y’all unfortunately don’t have them! Thank you
Replaced old belt with a new one. 2011 Polaris 500. It’s hard to go into gear and squeals. What’s the fix?

Kinda doubt it, sounds like a clutch issue but without proper break in , this can happen too.
Do you offer a belt for the Segway UT10?
sorry we do not
Good info thanks
You bet
Will the belt getting wet ruin it? For example water getting into the clutch housing.
Depends on how long you ran it with water
Quick question what would cause the top of the belt to peel off in one spot. faulty belt or bad clutches

I had the same issue I ended up replacing fuel pump and that took care of this.

Pretty hard to buy a used belt that's been broken into a different sheave angle and make it work the 1st mile. All sheaves are worn different.
@@johno8817 worn in and broke in with two heat cycles is two different things but no one will be selling a pre broke in belt.

You also need to wash a new belt with soap and water to remove the mold release compound
Not true, belts have not been made in molds and used oil in a long time, they use steam these days.
Why do people such as yourself, who don't know what they're talking about feel the need to spread bad information.
