looking back through all my miss steps
a re run every night
close my eyes while this brain spirals
whirlpools with it’s spite
well i dont know what it is
but it wont let me sleep
mistakes that i made
these thoughts they do creep
its not really regret
but more lack of peace
yet all i know is
yeah i made one
too many mistakes
its my time to pay
dear deidre can you tell me something dearer
i fucked it up
I made my bed i’ll lie in it
while some risk paid off
others made me pay for it
then it all builds up
like leaves in the gutter pipe
then the clouds above, flood to the top
while im burning up like whicker man
well i dont know what it is
but it wont let me sleep
mistakes that we made
these thoughts they do creep
its not really regret
but more lack of peace
yet all i know is
yeah i made one
too many mistakes
Oh that performance ..inspiring as fighting words. Have a mix waiting among projects and components, composed of software/ driver errors, to publish.
War stories, from French Canada
Now we know more about things that fell apart since WWII. From whence we came, eight decades of Nazi war criminal-harbouring, north american war crimes. The Nazi bullies were rescued by bigot profiteers next-door ..and General Groves (of projects Manhattan and Paperclip), that tasked Colonel Tibbits of the Enola Gay flight crew with delivery of the first atomic weapons. I identified him (Colonel Tibbets) as being Nazi war criminal Rudolph Hess, that led the Green Berets to Vietnam as General Westmoreland. I recognised his big bushy eastern European eyebrows, only his hair was twenty years whiter, speaking as Westmoreland on TV during 68 (confirmed while rooming with Dwayne Cheslock ..one of many unacknowledged Canadian advancements). She let me be nocturnal, as cats, predators and inventors can be.
Dwayne's name mentioned among events, for the Supreme Court to read, that might help prevent the invading French unilingual terrorists from wresting control of Dwayne's assets, home and life entirely ..I am trying at least. The other names that were not French on our streets, are all gone ..she is tough, so is my split arse, still here despite their worst during an invasion. They are caught, by my Canadian inventorship and military boots, even the Hells Angels supporters have to ..STOP HERE ..for 5'2" 110 lbs, they shall not pass. A bit taller now, at 5'6", since the age of thirty-six.
Oh I can relate to this... the nights I've spent trying to sleep, but my brain insists on playing my mistakes "greatest hits" tape on repeat...
I remember waking from four or five days awake ..after that many, is where I entirely lost the sense of how many days it had been, still wearing the leather Canadian military boots ..while name-changing, enemy-helping deserters I went to school with wore the plastic-soled wartime death-traps. Without paying the Vibram license for the patented soles ..the pirate, Axis american FORCES lost large pieces of cheap rubber soles while invading desert nations.
That lo-fi distorted sounding microfone was really the cherry on top of the cake! Absolutely beautiful!
Seconded, the grit on thr vocals is incredible
I too.
At first I thought "that sounds ropey" then the tune started and it all made sense.
Big fan here. I like your direct and immediate songwriting style, it really suits the raw nature of the instruments. Get's me pumped and I'm 60 this year, so you're doing an old man a favour! 😀
Make that two...
Great song! I love how the new synth setup has come together!
Sadly I can't catch your show on Friday in Amsterdam, but good luck with the tour!
Can't believe to see you here, too! 😅
Very cool to see you here! Nice to know your taste is reliable outside of urbanism questions too!
Finding out awesome youtube people are performing in somewhere in my country just a bit too late as usual 🥲 but still thank you sweet "algoritm", for bringing this on my feed again, truly impressed by the recent stuff :)
Sam's really maturing as a musician, I saw him hit a few black keys in there...
I'm guessing those would be the mistakes he's singing about.
I remember the old days!
First thing that came to mind too. This isn't just another demonstration of his gear as the massive nerd and analog synth enthusiast that he's been for many years. There is genuine artistry at work here. Unique ideas, catchy refrains, meaningful lyricism, wild yet defined character and tonality... not to discount any of these factors that have been present in his music before, but I feel ALL of them really come together on this song and some of his most recent stuff. Keep it up sam.
Well done! In addition to the tech wizardry, this is a well structured song with good melodies and enough space to breath
I thought this song was about doing a live show without practicing the set first.
The very idea!
I went to that show! Was awesome :)
The irony of performing "too many mistakes" without making any.
Holy Schnit! This is the first song of the many tech and synth creators that I follow that I was moved to comment under. Many are technically proficient but this was just an absolute cut above and raw as hell! I was not expecting the impact of the sound and the amazing vocals!
Now I need to replay it with better speakers!
Very impressive arranging! If I had heard this without visuals, I'd have assumed it was a band, or at least multitracked because the arrangement is complex and varied.
It's a really good song! I think your tour will be great!
Sick! That was cool. No need for apologies for using sequences 👍 keep the tracks comin.
I literally came home 20 minutes ago, from your gig in Cologne. I had so much fun…and loved the carefully arranged chaos. That is about all I can say without sounding like a nob. I also got meself two new projects to build (Circle Drone & Fart Box)….Now listening to this tune and smiling 😊
Hopefully this tour does you well enough for you to expand it to the US. Great stuff dude! Always glad to see a genuine mad scientist rocking some socks off!
Yes mate! Absolutely loved this one. Suits you sir. Very relatable lyric ! The chorus is a beauty
Catchy melody, stunning sound, amazing lo-fi voice. Absolutely excellent!
Look mom ! No mistakes on Too Many Mistakes !
I find myself walking around at work randomly humming this to myself all week. Thank you for making such great music and sharing it like you do.
Love it. Stands a bit different than your previous songs and I like it. Changes of pace and sequencing is just a new level again. Love the layers of various speeds for the kick
Man you are killing it! Love it!
I am so happy, that there are people like you out there, that truly master their craft and build such beautiful Music out of it!
So pumped for Hamburg next week :)
You sir are a wizard and I respect the hell out of you
That little "Ooh!" @4:12!
This hits hard man.... Excellent passion
I've been watching you for a while. This is so much better than I expected. You have a refreshingly unique sound. Simply amazing.

Chills up n down my spine mate. Amazing live performance. I actually enjoy this more than the totally rockin' recorded version. Eager for more. Best wishes on the tour!

Fantastic! You’re a true artist!
This is INCREDIBLE
Wow great song!! Goosebumps the whole time!
It would take me all day to list all the reasons I love this channel! Please keep the awesome vids coming! Killer song!
One would most definitely have to be the relatable lyrics, 😅
Just drinking my morning coffee man, wicked! Hopefully i make it across the pond one day and see you live.
Another Battle Banger, love it
Bloody fantastic mate 👍👍

This song is beautiful
Awesome sounds!! Love from Italy
Going to see it tonight in Amsterdam!
Hope you have a good tour
Amazing stuff! What a great song to listen to first thing in the morning!
Great! Dramatic, fat, prickly and catchy at the same time.
Already loops in my head. You made what Germans call "Ohrwurm".
Perhaps it will be chosen as soundtrack for one of these Netflax or Pryme Series when something unpleasant happens.
such a great tune. really satisfying drones and crunchy noises
Fabulous mate 👌
there's more raw creativity in this 4 minute video than i've seen out of some folks entire life.
It really hits good!
Very cool, man!!!
Thank you to inspiring me to make a choice and record the own content;)
Have fun on tour Sam! Had a blast at your gig in Ramsgate last week! Keep doing what you are doing!

Phenomenal! ...and you didn't maje any mistakes while performing. 😂
amazing!
Holy Shit! Absolutely mega!
nice you are making so cool song keep up the good work
Dig it! Simply fantastic.
I become an absolute fan!!!!Thanks
Wahoo bravo!! great song!! ;)
I was disappointed by the lack of mistakes. Like an oscillator falling way out of tune, fart 💨 and duck 🦆 sounds, getting out of sync.
You are whom I should have developed into in my college days if I had only followed my dreams !
Awesome! Very cool.
