No bru, he IS a super villian. He started off as the dust on an old synth tube, some oke spilled some coke, all that shit fused together; lo and behold….
Same here. Honestly one of the single coolest performances I've seen on the net. One guy, operating an arcane-looking machine, opening up a portal to some other-worldly dimension. Insane talent.
there is nothing wrong with taking time, I try to stretch out the creative process as much as possible, if I rush I always end up trying to take shortcuts and messing something up which only prolongs the whole thing in the end. I wish I had the discipline to work smarter not faster.
The customization and though behind this is what i fall for the hardest. You can see the vision, what he wants and needs in his rig. And it's not very convenient or playable really. All the choices made to fit the purpose. It's so beatiful really. A true artist that makes his own tools where there are none. The lenghts you go for yourself... Lovely. Also this rig should be sold as a DIY kit. I want to be like Sam in the comfort of my own living room. I'm a guitar/punk guy but im completely sold on this concept. As a musician. To be able to control everything yourself, even in i livesetting. In this analog and very organic way. This channel(and moritz) made me build a Kosmo modular and i also have a MS-20 now 😍😊. Thank you LMNC and all the folks in the community. Love.
Content creator, museum curator, master of the bodge, more driven than his mini, apparently a lovely human. But don’t get it twisted. Sam is first and foremost a KILLER songwriter and live musician Loving everything you’re doing mate
Before I heard songs like this, I was not a fan of synth music but I'm coming around to it - it's growing on me. This is good stuff and it requires talent to make it. Plus there's some pretty meaty sounds happening which I must say I like.
As a late 1970s teen raised on Gary Numan and the dying embers of punk, I would have been so excited to see someone performing on this type of setup. Brilliant song, great stuff Sam! Keep doing what you do, you're a national treasure :)
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is unique but also has an essence of Golden Age of Wireless Thomas Dolby and Humans Lib Howard Jones. My favourite 2 albums from the 80s.
Just wanna let you know Sam, all you originals are on my download list and get listened to pretty much daily. This one gives me chills when you start yellin'....amazing stuff brother. You've obviously found your calling long ago, and i love watching it unfold.
I've got all the live stuff in a YT playlist too, which I downloaded with youtube-dl so I could burn it to CD to listen to in my car (bought a CD burner just to do it). This format is pure genius, everything else going on in the music industry feels extremely stale in comparison.
Lol I've YT Premium and yesterday I started a playlist for work. Im 44years old but Ive never seen something like that. His Screams are awesome !!! That nrg damn bro!❤
that musical feeling and that voice... and the live performance multitask... on a synth he build completely byhimself. why has this not millions of views? i dont get it...
This whole setup feels very Brittish 80s cyberpunk. Like, this wouldn't seem out of place as a scene in Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future. If anyone is looking to revive that one, make sure you get Sam on screen with his stuff.
I am desperate to get the original cut of that... the only versions that now exist are the censored ones... BlipVert scene removed and god knows what else.
As an 80s teen that still loves new wave like Depeche Mode, New Order, OMD, and all the synth bands back then, this gives me all the lovely 80s feels. I’m glad to see the younguns are keeping this style of music alive. Great song, btw. I would’ve loved it back then and I love it now.
Great performance, i'm not always a fan of vocals in electronic music, but you made it part of the atmosphere, rather than above everything else, and that's great. Time for a relisten!
It's amazing what Sam does honestly. Im not edm fan, but Sam goes hard. His music has that fkin raw emotion to it that is undeniably real and it is conveyed beautifully.
I love this! I reckon it's your best yet and this definitely in my holiday playlist, meaning the wife and kids will get this unrelentingly pumped for the 5 hour drive to Cornwall! Keep it up, Sam. Your channel is awesome squared!!
this has that, peter Gabriel feeling I look for in music, the beat is polyphonic and the rhythm is incredible. also the lyrics are, phenomenal, I could listen to a whole album of stuff like this and enjoy every minute.
Picture me, as a 22yo in 1984, having just discovered Nik Kershaw's "Human Racing" set. Now fast forward to today, me at 63, digging this as much as I, a bassist, dug "Shame On You" back in the day!
Your sound is the first thought after a fabulous dream. The berth of human emotion, fleeting and infinite. Cascading as it sits still amongst the waters that ripple all around it.
i decided i want to write a comment here every time i come back here to listen to this song. I mean, of course not every single i play the song/video here (that would be a bit much..). You know, sometimes you listen to a song every day for a month or so, then maybe twice a week when it comes up in your random streamer service playlist. Then you simply don’t hear it anymore. For a while. Sometimes two weeks, other times maybe even 2 years or so. Then, randomly, you hear a song on the bluetooth speakers of some Kids in the Park while taking a simple walk by yourself. That Song has that kinda Vibe, you think to yourself. You are groovin’ a little with that Vibe….And then you remember. THIS. SONG. And you will go on your device of choice in a nice, quiet Minute for yourself…And you are here again, enjoying the Song with it’s heavier and heavier Drops and even Higher and Louder and Higher Highs And That is, when you know my friend, you have just fallen in Love again, with the same Song So I want to try to keep writing a comment here for everytime i do come back to this Song like that. Cause it has already happened a couple of times but i can only press the thumbs up once and don’t usually write these things here. Cheers!
Trent, Reznor, The Crystal Method, and The Prodigy mixed into one track… You’re making big moves with this track man… Best of luck with this… It’s friggin awesome 🤘🏼🤘🏼🍀
I can't think of anything great enough to describe how amazing this song is. But I can say that things like this are the reason to get up again when feeling shot down. Synthesizers and synthesizer music bring joy to my life.
He is one lab accident away from becoming a super villain lol
😂 Brilliant
Haha
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
No bru, he IS a super villian. He started off as the dust on an old synth tube, some oke spilled some coke, all that shit fused together; lo and behold….
I wanted to say what an amazing solo performance, but then I noticed the Furby in his rig, which was probably doing the heavy lifting.
Fun to see that in the end of the explanation video, of the movements in this song, he kinda read your comment out loud.
The Stones had Charlie Parker. He has Franken Furbie.
What is the furby?..Do not understand your message.
@@Amatteusthe module in the middle on the top is a furby
@@keanumack3944 I do not understand the meaning of Furby... Ah oik.. one of this toys.. no?.. Was a sarcasm... I think now i got it. Thnaks.
i listen to this about 100 times since release and I just can't stop admiring how perfect this song is. Masterpiece

@@inazumadenki5588 I like the way you described it :P
Mate…. You’re absolutely fucking brilliant ❤😂
It’s always insane to me how good your voice and your compositions are, genuinely amazing again.
watching performance with old school setup is priceless
not just about music
Song: 8/10
With dance: 11/10
I can't stop listening to this
Ditto. quality track
It takes me about 3 weeks to make a track in the box, I can't imagine how much effort it takes to record one song live... Great job!
Not to diminish either effort right, but I doubt he came up with the entire track+lyrics on the fly during this performance.

@@ainumahtar duh...? That's the point, he's recreating an entire song live
How long to make an album, at Sam-speed ?
@@ainumahtar he didn't. there's a couple of different anthems in this that have been around from his livestreams for years, combined with new lyrics.
more dancing Sam!!
great vibes as always. you play the synth like a crazy person and I love it.
Yees ,he is so funny dancing
Excellent tune Sam. Some nice live work there brother.......

Long live the live versions 🥳👏❤
I can't even describe how amazing this is. He has built his instruments for years and makes this unique and amazing musical art. 💖
This chorus is the best thing you've ever done
HOW does this video not have 10 Million views? This is orders of magnitude more talent than 99% of anything on the "top 40" lists. Very cool.

You are being followed mainly because of you building synths, but actually I like your live performances even more.
35 years ago, this would have been called New Wave. You've turned this into a classsic.

It's amazing what Sam does honestly. Im not edm fan, but Sam goes hard. His music has that fkin raw emotion to it that is undeniably real and it is conveyed beautifully.
@@grekygrek It's not quite edm either, it's like a more distorted and dark synthpop in a way. More akin to depeche mode than frankie knuckles
