trying to figure out the chucky rub tech but when you do it your mouse takes a trip to the original 13 colonies so i am having a hard time understanding how to pull it off Edit: seemed to get it down a little more but flicking after the slide is a little tough for some reason. Also i think the reason it doesn’t work on console is they have sticks and not keys so the game registers you trying to do the slide with mouse only which is not possible.

I see most of these techs as useless as I’ve been able to hit crazy stuff without them, the only one that actually does something crazy is the scamper cancel. Edit: not that what your doing is bad tho you can look at this as an opinion though
the only killers with techs that get used often are blight, wesker, and billy. of course, these techs could come into play but rarely. the 180 can save you on a long skinny structure, the cancel is basically just the 180 but at a vault location, and the slide tech can get a survivor on a wide window if you catch them off guard. of course though, its still very fun to pull off like every other tech.
See the thing is until you can do the tech consistently it’s not going to be useful. It’s like anything you have to try and fail over and over again to learn when it’s best to use it then this stuff makes Chucky unstoppable. It’s nothing like blight tech but that stuff took a long time to discover and Chucky is new so I’m sure new stuff will be discovered every few weeks for a while! Also a hidden benefit to these are not exactly hits but something like the cancel tech can really help gain distance around hard to hit obstacles. Chucky becomes as powerful as blight at shack with this stuff
Ive found that it is at least on pc, easier to hold A or D when performing the code cancel, because it makes it more dependent on the timing of the flick rather than the timing of the flick and then also pressing A or D.
@@danhauz yea thats true but for new people to it can be easier to hold it or at least start holding it when they get a little closer to the window so it makes it easier for the flicking part because that itself is easy

ngl, i found the rub tech really hard to follow what you were saying, it looked like your mouse was all over the place. looks like you look down which is the part i can do easily but the flick at the end just aint happening. any tips?
Also for the second tech I think it is possible for controller to do it cause I was practicing doing 180s and stuff and out of no where I was practicing the scraper cancel but on controller it’s more different cause the chance of landing are almost zero so basically it’s hard to explain at the end of your slice and dice when you chuck slide as soon as your power is about to end it kinda feels like you gotta wait for it to end to get like the full turn but again it’s hard to explain I don’t know if it made sense at all I tried recreating but I just couldn’t.
These were all clearly not intended by Behavior. I wish they'd fix (remove) these, especially the ones that only work on PC. I say this as a Chucky main. Trying to learn these "techniques" is frustrating, and pulling them off feels like cheating. Lose Lose.
@@HiHi-yk1mv I knew I'd be Chucky main when I started playing DBD in 2019, waiting and hoping he'd come out. I haven't played any other killer since his release. : ) Now I'm waiting for Buffy or Elvira main for survivor. : D
Killers having ACTUAL mechanical skill expression is a healthy thing for DBD. These techs are hard to do, which just makes getting better at the game more rewarding. Improving at macro play is boring and can seem unrewarding, whereas performing a successful tech that requires some degree of mechanical prowess feels genuinely rewarding and is undoubtedly healthy for DBD.
@@-jammy4123 I agree skill expression is important. The lack of skill expression is why Texas Chainsaw fell off so quickly after feeling fresh and fun at first -- and why Survivor in 8v2 struggled to get enough players (half their skill expression/things to do were removed in that mode). But accidental/obtuse/arbitrary mechanics with a steep learning curve that result in a wide gap between performing fine VS performing great makes too much of the game feel all about that particular mechanic. Taking a fighting game, and doubling the number of inputs for every unbreakable combo increases the skill expression but isn't more interesting or fun for most players. Everything that makes the game fun is still there, except now people who enjoy memorizing long sequences of arbitrary inputs now have a huge advantage over those who are only interested in the fighting engine itself - and the game becomes less about strategy and response time, and more about memorization of button sequences. No thanks. These obtusely intricate moves in DBD, with big advantages when pulled off, have the same problem. A great example of how DBD avoided this problem, while still leaving rewards for skill expression, was when they reduce the amount of bonus gen progress that's made from doing a great skill check down to almost insignificant -- but still just enough that if you do a bunch in one go, it adds up to notice slightly, while also tripling the BP reward for those skill checks. Players still get a sense of accomplishment for being better at great skill checks, but without overwhelming the game the way it used to -- where teams of 4 players who were all consistent at getting great skill checks would shave multiple minutes off of generator progression time every match -- thereby reducing the need to be good at all other survivor mechanics by a wide margin. Rediculous. Chucky being able to turn 90 degrees immediately after a vault because of an obtuse mechanic only performable on PC after a lot of practice meant Chuckys that did that could be mediocre at the meta game, choosing who to go after, and even chases themselves, and still perform as well as someone who were great at all of those things but couldn't pull off that move. That's just poor game design.
@@buzzin533 Well from what I know, you just have to go to the corner of a window and flick. Move your left stick to the left and your right stick to the right at the same time. This will help angle yourself to the corner of the window and it should let you Scamper Cancel.
