Saw them open for Metallica and they absolutely crushed it. Buddy of mine who'd never heard of them said they were the best opening band he's ever seen. They are outstanding musicians and put on a killer live show. Do they sound like Zeppelin? Yeah. Do I love Zeppelin? Yeah. I don't really see a problem.

Just discovered these guys. Refreshing to hear their music. Reminds me of a lot of great music from the distant past. I read their wiki and one band not listed (surprisingly) in influences is Rush; though they may not be, I sure do hear elements of Rush in their music. I actually hope to hear a bit more keys and synth use in SOME of their music moving forward. I do like their latest work, too! Rush were always talented but had a rough start (industry acceptance) until their 2112 rebellion... and the rest is history. Hope these guys keep at it and ignore some of the criticism I've seen.

This is literally it, I listen to the ghettoest rap music but this is just sonically so good to listen to, good lyrics, talented musicians, some black sabbath influence on the drums, absolutely amazing, this is the future of music. He’s come a long long way since they debuted. I remember everyone telling them to drop him. One of the smoother drummers I’ve seen today now, brings a whole lot to the band and really is a backbone for them now 😍
They're all so talented, They're a Rock n Roll legend in the making. This guys will see Hall of Fame status if they keep it up without a doubt.

Rock purists. I have made records for 30 years...these guys have IT. Like Led Zep, The Stones and Sound Garden...across the generations...like it or not, they have what has been missing.

This music reaches deep into my soul, Their sound gives me that feeling like Led Zepplin, Journey, Leonard Skinnard, etc that primal sound of raw talent thats rare and EXTREMELY RARE in 2020's! I think they'll be remembered as Hall of Fame Rock n Rollers in time!

Dont think I’ve ever been disappointed in this band.
I'm not a big fan of their past two albums, I LOVE from the fires, but I would say I'm "disappointed".
I just prefer their harder rock sounds, and I liked the guitar riffs a ton in the pre debut album.
But never a disappointment. They are still something very special, especially for today's time.

When the singer struggles to get low notes rather than high notes Josh is built different
He is built lower to the ground
He actually doesn’t seem to struggle with low notes, here he hits them well. The only problem is that transitioning smoothly between registers is very hard. That has been his biggest problem I think. But he’s def improved, look at his original live performance of this and compare it to this one. In the original live performance the low notes are very weak sounding, that’s because he tried to push his mix all the way down to those low notes so he wouldn’t have to transition between registers. In this one he actually sings the low notes in chest, and transitions to his mix voice in high notes. This allowed his low notes to sound very loud and present.

@@bernardoconnor5512 first of all a masterpiece is supposed to have an influence, while greta van fleet is pretty much just copying things that have already been done, they don't bring much to the table. Which is fine every artist is free to do what they like.
Taste isn't universal, we don't all like the same things. A good song for me won't necessarily be a good song for you, therefore asking me what renders a song good, isn't really constructive.

Not a trend, friend. Just some dudes who really fucking love rock in a way no one does anymore. The best hope is that this sort of music inspires others.
His voice reminds me of all of my favorite bands back in the day. He reminds me of Geddy Lee from Rush, Plant from Zeppelin and even Ann Wilson from Heart on some songs. A mixture of everything good in classic music. Bravo boys. Keep on rockin'!

Someone said they were a led Zeppelin clone. I don't think so at all. They sound nothing like LZ. I'm kinda impressed by the fact that they don't sound like anyone else at all.
These live performance videos are awesome. So much better than a stupid video with the album track played over it. I love how GVF releases these live versions that are true to the album cut, but offer some nice variation and nuance. I really enjoy their music and look forward to the next few years of music and they grow and develop. Great band!! Bass player is the secret weapon…

There is absolutely nothing wrong with influence affecting the music of an artist, in fact, that's a very beautiful thing about music... but these guys are just too close to the influence, it makes them seem uninventive and cartoony (even if that's not the case).

There's a bit of everything from rock history in your music and it's so nostalgic, but then again it has some unique touch too. Coupled with immense talent between each member, and you have a masterclass of musical pleasure. I mean - every single one of you does their part so perfectly and the combination is pure bliss. Just watched these guys open for Metallica. Insanely talented band and great vibe in the show. As I didnt knew them i wasnt expecting much, but damn they blew my mind. Their second album is really gonna boost their careers, surely are about to reach the sky and beyond.
