Do you think content creation is truly as easy as it’s made out to be, or is there more behind the scenes that we don't see? What’s the biggest misconception you’ve heard about how to make money online through UA-cam? Do you agree that UA-cam monetization is harder than people think, or do you believe anyone can make it if they try hard enough? Also, what percent is your phone 🔋 on I'm on 93% and it's 1:47 PM 🥰

Ppl who are good at UA-cam make it look easy, but in general , most ppl lack skill, discipline and outright “Q-factor “ aka, Camera Charisma, to be able to draw ppl in. I believe you have to be a decent speaker as well, limited “um, uhhh, like, you know “ which is harder than ppl think it is

Hearing that UA-cam is on "easy mode" has always made me angry. I have a new UA-cam channel called "The in my 20's diaries" and it has showed me how growth actually is. But I have had many youtube channels and the one thing I know is that content creation is very much a long game. It only works if you are willing to put in a ton of effort on the front end without any validation. So, I am so glad that you made this video because the number one way to discourage people is to give them an unfair/untrue view of how much work content creation really is.

The algorithm is sending me the same videos, only a few people making a decent living on YT. It's a hard grind people need to be realistic and DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB IN THIS ECONOMY TO PURSUE UA-cam !!!. It can be a side hustle until you see consistent income, most people lack discipline and will quit when they don't go viral in month 1.

    I felt this whole video.
I just started my own channel (not this one) for educational content, last month.
I recently did a whole 101 presentation. I recorded it THREE times. Over 2.5hrs of video. AND I'm still struggling with getting my audio right because I'm hitting all of these learning curves. Took me 5 days to edit & cut it down to 35min.
And all I can do is hope that the information hits people 🥲 But I'm going to keep pushing with my little 35 views per video lol.

Symone is NOT lying!! I had two channels from 2014-2019. When I had them babies, I had to make a hard decision to delete and or privatize my channels.
There was NO time to effectively parent and to keep doing UA-cam with all the behind the scenes work involved. My husband and I don’t believe in hiring nannies so that wasn’t an option.
I chose my family without regrets. I created a new profile just to be a viewer and subscriber.
NO more videos, no trolls, no ever changing YT guidelines, no channel strikes, no spammed comments, no false copyright claims, no stolen content, no doxing, etc.
Now I’m on easy mode 😊.

Ppl talk about the lack of media literacy, but I think one thing that seems obvious to some but not to others is when someone is trying to sell you a dream. Most of the content on social media telling you how to be successful is crap. In regular life off line ppl don't go around telling everybody how they make money lol. Ppl aren't out here giving away cheat codes. Why would they? Anybody who has a course, or a paid community, or white board is a scammer lol. So many big youtubers have free videos where they tell you exactly what they did to make it for free. There's no secret sauce.

The phrase easy mode obscures the demanding reality behind everything that goes into videos before uploading. From the outside, it looks straightforward enough: you make a video, upload it, and if the algorithm is kind, you’ve got yourself an audience and maybe even a paycheck. The truth is that for every creator who “makes it,” there are thousands in near obscurity, pouring endless hours into videos that go nowhere, waiting for a break that might never come. I posted a video about this on my channel too.

My answer was that I wish I would have known how hateful people will be for no apparent reason. And how people will only watch a couple of minutes (if even that) before making an incorrect judgment and commenting the most outlandish stuff.
If I wasn’t doing this for the creative outlet, it definitely wouldn’t be worth it simply due to how rude some people think they can be without cause or consequence.

Shorts, Community Post, and Vertical Live Streaming are what I'm assuming they mean by Easy Mode. I can say that shorts is how I got monetized and how I went from 2,400 to 500,000 subscribers. I push alot of content out and have been up at 3am for a couple of weeks( I now have a video editor for my long form and I have an audio editor for my podcast) . Now, it feels easier than where I started because of the consistency, discipline, wisdom, and building a team. I also did hire a UA-cam strategy business coach because I wanted it to be easier but I knew I would have to be better educated for that to happen.
I also just talked to my mentor about content creators does not mean that they are brands or businesses. Because a lot of them treat this as a hobby when this is a full-blown operation. From the brand deals with negotiations and contracts to production equipment to learning to film for the edit, this is a full-time job.
I love your videos and I do see the work that you put in. I can say I am also surprised that your channel doesn't have more subscribers when you produce quality content every single upload and fun Community polls.

I started almost a month ago with 550 subs and still trying to figure out how to do it right. It is hard but i am determined to figure it out. Mainly for the financial freedom but i see the competition and i am like i can do that better. Not bragging just that i have more of a skillset. Bravo and I will keep watching you Symone.

This might sound dumb, but one of the reasons I started my channel this year was to get a job. I'm an artist looking to work in production in the entertainment industry, and I created my channel so I can showcase my personality thinking, "maybe they'll skip the interview step if they see what I'm like ahead of time" 😆 But I've also always wanted a creative channel, and if it gets monetized along the way then yay! But I truly do wanna put up the best content I can create, even if I am a noob lol

No lies told! I have been on UA-cam for 4 years. I am not interested in all that editing stuff you mentioned. I have many travel vlogs to places that are beautiful yet uncommon. However, most are still sitting in the editing mode. About an hour into the process, I become completely disenchanted. I also don't like making the thumbnails. When it comes to all things in life you gotta take risks, if there's no risks there's no rewards.
Achieving success rather it's physical, spiritual, or financial it's all about trial and error with consistency and A LOT of persistence.
There's no such thing as "easy mode" when you're trying to make a name for yourself building an empire or a legacy in your name.

Yeah I have a channel that just monetized two months ago - and you’re right. It’s a lot of content creation with zero views and subscribers and it’s hard. I’ve sunk a lot of time and money in to video and editing and getting equipment. It is NOT easy mode - it’s a lot of upfront work and investment with uncertain outcomes. Do UA-cam only if you’re passionate and can take the time and energy to find your tribe of subscribers on UA-cam

  • @kiterafrey

It took me just shy of a year to hit monetization, it isn't easy. I had to find my niche. I had to find my niche inside that niche. And even now, it is currently my first month monetized, I've only made about $150 before taxes. But I learn everyday and that's all that matters.

@helenarichard My content doesn't focus on a niche tailored to sales, but I do work as an affiliate for Amazon and a couple other companies. My comment is the amount I've made on UA-cam solely from UA-cam (AdSense, Super Chats, Memberships.) I don't group my income ffom affilates, book sales as an author, or paid promo content on Tiktok into one stream, though on the same brand. Mainly for tax purposes but also to better track analytics on what works. But Adsense, boy is that a grind.

Color grade won this fight 😭
But I do understand what you mean when people say that UA-cam is on easy mode . What I have seen is a wild increase of either new political reaction channels or TikTok reaction channels. Also, Mukbang’s seem to be coming back but to a healthy side. And what I’m noticing too is people are doing topics that they don’t seem like they have a true passion for, but it has a high CPM rate like finance or beauty.

I tried affiliate marketing with WordPress, blogspot, now looking into UA-cam. I simply do not have the energy for it anymore. Thought I would make a good beauty channel. I just dont have the energy to act enthousiastic about stuff anymore. The golden age of beauty blogging is over and you have to have really amazing channels to stand out. I'm from Europe too so any UA-cam income would be taxed at 30% flat rate for diverse income tax. Maybe a faceless channel where I talk about daily life and relevant problems would be cool or me and my dad doing useful chores. But you need a ton of motivation.

Reaction videos are where the money is at. Reacting to other people’s content…you started to see success when your channel switched up too. Actually creating content that people want to watch is hard, reacting to tik tok and other content and just slapping your face in and doing some editing is easy. Don’t play yourself

    • @fabionelmiguel
      @fabionelmiguel 5 днів тому

You are forgetting the copyright issue that come with such channels. That is why those reactions channels only react to small to mid content creators, cause most of them won't Copyright strike, and won't take you to court like the big channels. You can build such channels, but it only take 3 content creators to Copyright strike your channels to remove you permanently from UA-cam.

I mean don't get me wrong at least I think I got better over the years, even when the stats are telling a different story 😅
