So you admit that you are pushing people to quit their jobs to sell out on youtube.
The fact that you shill for courses in your description, that you call it a "job" is laughable. You are doing what every other loser did that cannot hack it in a 9/5, selling out instead of just finding a passion, and no, shilling is not a job.
Look at you bruv, you use the same tired clickbait titles, thumbnails, red arrows, and cringe pog faces on all your videos. You are soulless, and spit in the eye of what this site was made for.
It was made for hobbiests and fun videos, not losers that wanna get paid for playing on the computer all day. Stop perpetuating this cycle.
Notifications are off, good luck replying.

anyway, very true. my earnings earn right down. i could never quit my job for youtube. its just insane.
unless i earn more than my daily job. and earning to the extent. but reality, not there yet.

I went full time way too early and got myself into a whole bunch of financial trouble for a couple years, I was so broke I couldn't eat sometimes. I don't regret it one bit now because it forced me to find a way to make it work and now I'm in a really good place doing what I love. If you want to take the island, burn the boats.

You have to be very lucky to actually earn a living on UA-cam, don't quit your job for UA-cam unless you know what you're doing. From the stories I've heard, people that quit their job for UA-cam are people who already have a huge following and are sure that they can pay everything even during low points where their channels aren't doing great.
(Also inspirational speaker and influencers who write books are full of bullshit, don't trust them)

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,528 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Thank you for the transparency! It's so true! I've been gaining more and more views for 12 months straight without increasing ad revenue (hopefully it will go up soon) so it is very unpredictable for sure. I still think it is worth it, but creating a consistent income and have multiple income streams have really helped me get that stability and not base my mood too much on the ad revenue alone. Helps me focus on just continuing to create good videos. :)

I think you’re right even if I am a UA-camr, you still have to get ready to fix the fact that UA-cam moderation is whack and you could lose your job at any point you also shouldn’t get out early at your job for UA-cam so that you have some money before you start your partner program. Have it beside you before you have it as a full-time job

I've been self employed for over 30 years, and all those things you said are true, but the flexibility and freedom you have being self employed makes it worth it. It helps to have an employed wife with a stable income though 🙂
Right now, I'm trying to get to a point that my one day a week UA-cam hobby pays for the one day a week I don't work because of UA-cam. I don't think I'll ever get there by UA-cam alone, but that's fine, that's why it's a hobby.

  • @richardyamato

True UA-camrs are just hiding these facts to get more views why im thinking of going back to a real job to have a more secure income plus get social life again with a lot of benefits so if youtube decides to do whatever it wants no problem if you have a regular job.

I think ego came into it. I didn’t want to start back from 0 subscribers again.
I actually think that if you make good videos then UA-cam will find an audience to put them in front of. It’s hard if you pivot and may take time for UA-cam to find you a new audience though.
I think my pivot helped me realise that my videos aren’t good enough. I’d gotten lazy and comfortable because I had an existing audience.
So this pivot has forced me to work hard at becoming a better video maker which in the long run I think will be a good thing
