If you have a problem with any type of excess mucus, there is a really simple and inexpensive solution: salt.
Salt is one of the best natural remedies for mucus. There has been a long history of using certain types of salt therapy to support the immune system.
Salt is very antimicrobial. It has antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-yeast, and anti-mold properties. Salt is also really good for breaking up thick mucus.
There are many different ways you can use salt as a remedy for mucus. If you live near the ocean, you could simply drive to the coast and breathe in the salty air.
If you’re not near the coast, you can dissolve one teaspoon of sea salt in a glass of warm water and drink it.
Other ways to use sea salt for mucus include:
    • Going to a salt house
    • Using a neti pot
    • Using a nebulizer
    • Gargling with saltwater
    • Halotherapy
Most respiratory infections are viral-related, so antibiotics won’t be helpful. You have to give a viral infection time to go away, but during that time, it’s crucial to support your immune system.
The best things to support your immune system:
    1. Vitamin D
    2. Vitamin C
    3. Zinc

My younger sister had chronic, severe asthma. It was before inhalers or any kind. We nearly lost her a few times to a severe bout. She was taken into a home for lung affected - tb, asthma, etc for a period of 6 months. Each day their beds were wheeled outside as the facility was right on the edge of the sea. Unless it was raining they stayed out there for a few hours each day, no matter how hot or cold. Her lungs improved dramatically. Eventually she was able to have inhalers, which also took some of the fear away. In time she became completely in control of her asthma. So much so in fact that the local pulmonary clinic will advise patients on her methods and means of having a very normal life. We recently celebrated her 70th birthday and she spends a lot of time on the beach with her grandsons.

I am taking 2 nebulizer treatments one when I wake and one before I sleep. Mainly for the mucus. Now I can complete my journey with this information. Such amazing ideas this man has. It really worked well. LITTLE TIP.. Put big metal spoon in the pot. And while your in your head tent stir pot to get continued steam. It really helps. 😊

It's been standard practice in the USA for 100 years to iodize table salt. The need for iodine, supplementary iodine if it's inadequate in the diet, is not discussed much because it's taken for granted. Some people get the idea that either salt is bad for them, or salt with supplementary iodine is bad for them, which may be true for a small fraction of people, so they skip it, when for the vast majority we could just buy a cardboard jar of iodized salt for about a dollar every year and be good.

My mucous remedy…freshly grated ginger! I grate a good amount ( at least 2 tbls/ 1 c water) microwave for 2.5 min, steep for awhile, strain, and enjoy straight. It’s very spicy, but you’d be amazed at what it does for your lungs, and sinuses. I find fresh ginger works like a lung “vacuum” , it’s also extremely effective at getting your sinuses to open, and drain 👍

I bought one at a local shop, but when I went back to buy one for my mom they were out and I ended up buying it online and there are several places to purchase it. It's a little ceramic pot with a curved tip. The cylinder ceramic pot holds salt and the base is full of small holes so when you suck a breath in through it it's pulling microscopic particles of salt into your lungs and Airways to help dry it out. I don't get sick real often, but I have found that that definitely helps me get better quickly when I do.

An ultrasonic humidifier will deposit mineral impurities in the water that will cover objects in the room.
If you add salt to the water it should suspend salt particles in the air so you can breath them.
However the salt might clog up or corrode the machine. Everything in the room will be covered with fine salt powder which can be corrosive.

I watched Dr Berg’s other older video about salt. Afterward I went on Amazon and purchased a salt inhaler. It cost somewhere around $12 and came with a packet of Himalayan sea salt. Instructions have you breathe in through the mouth and exhale through the nose. I found that if sinuses are your problem spot, then hold one nostril shut and breath in through the other with the nozzle up to your nose, switch back and fourth. It really opened up my head!

From Canada here and our Health care is teetering on Disaster at the moment so UA-cam, has been helping tremedosly..I honestly think your helping more than the physical Doctors here have time or desire for..(Canada really needs to treat their Doctors better and with respect, so not blaming them at all)
Thank you seems inadequate but it's all I have.., believe me , it''s heartfelt.

Something else they never tell you is that a blocked nose is just swollen tissue and all you have to do to reduce swelling is apply cold pack or cold water, same as any other injury, works every time.

I live in Mesa Arizona there is a shop near me that sells Himalayan salt. They have a little breather that you put the Himalayan crystals in. You shake it up and breath air through the crystals like an inhaler. Every since I've started using this seven years ago my asthma has gotten much better.

Didn't know about the halo generator, got to see about getting one of those. With the zinc be careful, if you are short on copper there could be some bad side effects.

I gargle with table salt almost everyday. Also, rinse my mouth as well with it. Salt caves are popular too. I've been in one 😊

I've always had problems with my sinuses. My go to is a small bowl of warm water big enough to put your face in, add salt, then snort it and let it drain out your nose and down your throat. The first time you do it, it will burn a little but that goes away. It really cleans out my sinuses. Been doing that for years.
