Your video was perfect! I was able to get it all apart by myself. THANK YOU!!! I been looking up videos and online forums with no luck. Just about to give up till I saw you have the same washer as I do! 😄
Omg! Thank you so much! I've watched probably 20 other videos and they say to line up the hole with the nipple but no one EXCEPT for you said to line up the line, the nipple and the hole altogether! I worked on it for over an hour and almost kicked it a few times and decided to try to find another video and ran across this one, so... I'm hoping that I'll have better success! Only thing I'm doing this alone, and I just stuck my leg inside the tub and put my boot Inbetween the lower slats to prevent it from moving, but not removed yet, but I'm certain I'll get it now! Thank you for your thorough video!
The only time the line and nipple are lined up is when it's almost totally unscrewed as was the case with this one. You can see this by the way he only turns it a little to remove it
1. Removed lid to washer and clamped tub to side using 2x4 brace b/n tub and side. 2. Couldn't get sufficient leverage on screwdriver to get the agitator to loosen up. After exhausting all other possibilities, drilled a second hole opposite the factory hole and pushed screwdriver all the way through. Worked great.
doing this right now yes of course i obviosly lined the hole with the mark but no hole for the screw driver BUT I CAN NOW SEE that there are two alignment bumps ! couldn't see the upper one from waistbending position looking down into tub Thanks for having it out of the machine to be able to see
You can't line up all three , just the hole with the dimple. The dimple and the divit move together so you can't allign them up. Only the hole and dimple move independently.
I still can’t get it. I even went to Harbor freight and and bought a two piece set rubber strap wrenches…. I’ve tried everything but kicking it and throwing it out to the street and cursing it.
That assembly is similar to what I have, just missing those bumps to indicate a line-up. It is a GE as well but I see its made in Mexico, maybe the reason for the differences. Anyone has any recommendations how that hole is going to line up with a notch if there isnt one?
Don't you get aggravated when someone makes all kinds of errors in their videos, get corrected in the comments, then refuses to remove the video or go back and edit what they said.
You could have someone else hold the bottom part instead. He had it outside the washer. Otherwise, you will have your child stand on it. He said it a few times. Have another helping hand. Hope you understand better.

I'm 67 year old woman. Watched this video and I did it all by myself. Thank you so much.

@bringiton31124 how do I get the bottom line in line with the nipple and hole?

How do you get all three lined up I can only get two of them ?
Yea never figure it out this guy sucks don't even explain how to donthe middle one

Who else is mad as hell watching this trying to fix their washer ?
Align the dot and the hole then stick the screwdriver in then turn it right to unclip
You forgot the part about standing on the agitator while you turn the auger to the right. 😊😊😊
Can you film a cycle on the cabrio
@littygangster 1 how do I get the nipple lined up with the lower line? Neither the lower line nor the nipple spin. Only the upper hole
So I stand inside the washer machine to hold the agitator so it doesn't move?

How did you remove the entire assembly
Once he removed the auger, there is a 7/16 hex bolt that holds the agitator on. Remove it and agitator slides straight up off the splined shaft.
@@BringItOn31124is the bolt reverse thread or normal ?
@@CGolden-tm2bu Normal. A service manual is in a plastic bag taped to the inner wall of the washer.
@ thank you
Thanks. I watched a video that told me to turn counter clockwise and I could never get it off

How exactly do I stand on the bottom of it while it still in the machine? 😂
You just need to take some "magic dust" to make yourself small.

Nope. Oil filter strap wrench around bottom of top half. Hold tub and turn clockwise with a quick jerk. Nothing else needed
