Haven't touched an airplane in 3 years and need to refresh all things IFR. Thanks for this.
Hey I passed my private checkride yesterday. I really appreciate all your content, it for sure helped me pass!
Congratulations Dee!!
Great stuff as always. I can’t wait on more ak flying videos and an update on your new place.
Great video. Any updates on your own airstrip? I'm so excited to see the next part.
Thanks! Very good explanation!
Great intro photo. I recognize that strip! Nice new cabin through the woods.
Lovely clear explanation. Thank you!
Great video. I can’t wait to see more flying videos.
Excellent video! I just went through Machado's IFR chart series, and you packed tons of material into a much shorter video. You also mentioned a number of other intricacies and details he didn't cover.
Awesome and informative video. Much appreciation.
Shaded area on glide slope below DA indicates that the visual segment is clear of obstacles (34:1)
Great presentation. Thanks
Awesome, any chance for a SID/STAR brief video?
Nice detail, excellent video. Funny how it’s ILS only, but the frequency is for a LOC
Posted exactly 1 week before my instrument checkride. You guys are the best
Good luck on you check ride. Where are you doing it at?
Best of luck Will! Let us know how you do, and if you have any questions you can always reach out to us!!
Great video! If you did a video of this approach it would be beneficial to all. Keep up the great work
Thanks! Will do!
You should show Jep plates as well. That's what most airlines are going to and what ATP uses at their school
Great, this is just what I need. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I need to know more on how NoPT works
Top left corner, what does the underline on the ILS frequency mean? Just the underline under the frequency.
You failed to mention that you only fly the published missed approach at an uncontrolled field in a non-radar environment. If you fly the published miss at a radar served towered airport without getting a clearance to do so you can get a violation if you lose separation with another airplane, or suffer a midair.
Great video. I pulled up my FlyQ app and looked at my plate as you described. I did have a question. Since this doesn't have the Localizer, does that mean its now a non-precision approach? And if so, does that mean you have a MDA? I'm seeing only the 1600 msl which I assume is the MDA?
No this is a precision approach. It has a localized and glideslope, but it doesn’t have a localizer only procedure published on this plate. For example, the ILS to 7R at ANC is an ILS OR LOC RWY 7R. 1600’ is the altitude you should be crossing KANSI. Hopefully, that was what you were asking, if not reply and hopefully I can clear it up.
@@btmountaineer93 oh! I guess I misunderstood. Now I get it.
Wait so do we care about the military frequencies?
No, it does not pertain to our operation. Anchorage controls the airspace.
Why isn't it KANC ? It's a US airport
Because it's in the Pacific region just like PHNL(Honolulu)
DME arc is still alive?
Alive and well kicking 👍🏻
Ermm.... but the T is not upside down. Huh ? Am i getting crazy ?
There's a lot going on in this chart lol.
What do you mean? It’s super simple lol😅
Why doesn’t this playlist list videos in order like, for example, Chapter 1, which video to start with? I can’t figure out where to start. I’d never start a textbook in the middle of the book.
The courses can help out with this. There are different options depending on what you are looking for. Let us know if you have any questions or if we can help you out with your flight training! learn.fly8ma.com/all-courses/
