katara blood bending will forever be iconic
i’m confused on how ur comment was posted ten days ago but this video was published 5hrs ago ?? 😭 am i crazy or-
@@nastyytee Im subscribed to their patreon so I got to see this before it was public on youtube 😭
It's such a misunderstood power
Sux that she hated to use it 😭
anyone who doesn’t recognize katara as one of the GOAT benders needs to rewatch this episode
TRUEEE

27:53 It never fails to impress me how a bender can use others nation bending techniques to fight. You can see how Katara uses an earthbending technique to stand against Hama’s attack. We know that waterbenders usually use push and pull techniques, but here you can see how she stopped the attack with a firm stance, just like an earthbender would do. That’s why Hama is very impressed, even scared.
Zach: isn't there water in blood?
Us: 👁️👄👁️ *blink* *blink*
I mean they’ve clearly heard about it before cause no way 😂
No the episode primes audience pretty well for it, by showing the air and the flowers
How is no one in the comments talking about how Zuff basically guessed the plot twist of the Hama episode? Lmao. Very well done! I mean she wasn’t killing people (that they showed), but he figured out the plot point of using the water inside of peoples bodies.
they seriously need to give zuff more credit
Well at 23:11 you can see it it in his eyes .. he has the thousand yard stare
I've noticed Zuff is surprisingly good at guessing plot twists haha, he's done it more than once
@@dreamie9868 i agree with you
@@dreamie9868yeah it’s crazy😂
The unforgivable curses comparison was such a good analogy. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Bloodbending is seriously violating. Katara would never teach it to Aang, he would never want to learn it.
Unironically LOVE when Rob says “go off, Queen” 😂❤️
14:24 Aang sensing the air getting sucked in
I love how Hama was made into a double red herring.
1. At first it's like, oh, creepy person, she's completely suspicious.
2. She's a waterbender? Oh, nevermind, now I feel bad, and that explains why she was suspicious.
3. SHE'S AN EVIL WATER BENDER!
Also, fun bit, this episode originally aired on Halloween.
zuff is actually so smart for predicting that and i love how rob tried so hard not to give a reaction 😭😭
It’s so interesting to me, Sokka being a little bit older than Katara can’t remember his own mothers face, usually you would see this with younger siblings and trauma messing up your brain a bit but Katara remembers every single little detail while Sokka can not. It’s really sad :(
Edit: also Zuff I applaud you for the blood bending 🎉
Yeah if this wasn’t a Nickelodeon show the types of bending could get so vicious! Like Air benders could easily suffocate everyone, Water exploding people from within, Fire burning anyone to a crisp, Earth crushing anyone or quick sanding people to death… I can certainly see why an Avatar and peace between nations would be necessary, otherwise it could get so deadly between benders
in the show Shadow and Bone they kinda show that, how people who control water can easily bend the water within someone or make them explode, and so on with the other types of bending
I think one of the worst thing about Hama's "revenge" is that it wasn't doing anything to harm those who harmed her, just fanned her need to have power over people who are powerless after being powerless herself. She was intentionally targeting civilians who are very low priority in a military state, fairly certain she could've kidnapped the whole town Fire Nation would not have cared. But she knows if she went after the soldiers, those who actually imprisoned her, she would be found out quickly. I pity and sympathise with the young woman who was broken down to such a degree, but I have no sympathy for the bitter, selfish, and evil witch she's become.
I honestly love her idc 🤷♀️
i felt physically ill watching her. you worded it perfectly. i have empathy for who she was. not who she became.
23:27 BIG BRAIN ZUFF lets gooo!!!
As a personal opinion I think at 28:00 in I think hana is shocked not because she defended against it but because she blocked it using an earthbending form not water bending. If that makes sense
Hama said that bloodbending is so difficult that waterbenders can only do it during a full moon, when waterbenders are most powerful. So Katara could only use it against Ozai if they timed the attack reeaallly well
Hama is the only known southern waterbender in existence besides Katara, and was the last known waterbender in the village until Katara was born.
That was almost 50 years without a waterbender at the South Pole.
Katara would be essentially invincible if she used blood bending also zuff predicting it beforehand likrv a psychic great reaction guys
Zuff keeps seeing Iroh everywhere lol
In the writer's room, bloodbending was jokingly referred to as the "Why are you hitting yourself" technique.
It was changed because of how terrifying it is.
9:15 "that bird looks like Iroh" 😭😭😭😭😭😭 wut!!! Need a compilation of every outta pocket/left field/ "EWW" from Zuff
Sokka coming up with the name combustion man in the middle of a high speed chase from combustion man is the one thing I’ll let you guys clown him on 😂 “Good job, Sokka!🫡🫡” 😂😂 Like time and place man
When you think about it, makes sense why they kept coming to take the water benders. Since the air nomads were destroyed and Aang was nowhere to be found (presumed dead), the next avatar was going to be a water-bender by birth so capturing the water-benders was a “smart”, yet evil, strategy from the Fire Nation. .
I love how Zuff think about bending the water in the body like blood, and only Bryce answer to him. Rob trying to not react and keep a poker face to not spoil.
Every time I look forward to you guys reacting to certain episodes you guys accurately predict every single detail 😭🤣💀
Almost every reactor at some point in this episode thinks Hama is Nini, but Katara says Nini was her mom's friend. If her mom were alive she be a water tribe milf at this point not an 80 year old.
12:03 Sokka obviously knew. And he waited until Katara was in water under the cliff so that Toph wouldn’t feel her.
Rob’s hat is dope 🔥
I hope they really show how deadly blood bending is in the live action series. I'm sure they'll show Hama killing a few prison guards on the way out
The puppet master! My favorite episode!
I like to think that Yue, was watching over and supporting Katara during her battle with Hama
This city used to be named "North Chung-Ling", but its inspiring statue of Ozai prompted authorities to change the name.
It is now called "Fire Fountain City", an industrial town supporting the Fire Nation war efforts.
THAT ACCURATE GUESS THOUGH? YOU ARE WILD, ZACH!
Hama acquired this quaint inn years ago when its former owner mysteriously disappeared
Katara the GOAT
I couldn’t wait for you guys to react to these episodes !!! 🤭
I LOVE HAMA! SHE"S THE GOAT!
This episode makes me cry every time. Imagine someone as kind and empathetic as Katara having to do something completely against her nature.... making her something she would never want to be.... it's heartbreaking
This episode always gets me for katara having to still learn blood bending against her wishes for it
Hama learning Blood Bending and choosing to attack civilians instead of Fire Nation Soldiers. She couldn’t have done a field trip to the capital and killed the Firelord? 🤣
It's about equal exchange. They attacked and captured innocents, so she will too
Fire Nation used to captured the waterbender from the Southern tribe but after Hama develop bloodbending the Fire Nation just killed the waterbenders. In my opinion is Hama's fault that Katara and Sokka's mother was killed.
Day 115 requesting Penny Dreadful :)
Bloodbending is something everyone theorized about and knew should be possible, but didn’t expect the show to actually address it considering how dark the concept is! Absolutely wild and handled very well. And the thing is, I totally see where Hama was coming from. The problem wasn’t that she learned bloodbending and used it to save herself from the Fire Nation prison and the tortures she was going through, it’s that she misplaced her anger, grief, and trauma to anyone related to the Fire Nation and hurt innocent people as a result. Similar to another character that went through something horrible and hurt innocents because of it * cough Jet cough *
Technically earth benders should also be able to blood bend because of the iron and other minerals in you body.
Aang's waterbending < Katara's waterbending, so yeah. Aang wouldn't be able to resist Hama. Altho Aang learned waterbending, he isn't quite a master. He didn't master any bending other than Air, in his young era, IMO. He was good, a prodigy, but not a master.
oh god i can't wait for you guys to see The Southern Raiders! Katara is the GOAT
My fav episode!
Water bending is my fav bending style.
27:54 we see this throughout, but every bender gets stronger when they start learning the styles and traditions of the other bending forms. katara uses an earthbender move here, she holds her ground and disrupts the water, instead of using it's energy to move and flow around her. she learned that from watching toph and aang. iroh is such an incredible bender bc he too uses techniques of the other bending disciplines, like the lightning redirection he learned from watching waterbenders
Great reactions this episode lol I will literally never get bored of you guys
Katara is my favorite character and Suki 🤩
Anytime zuff see something new onscreen: “Is that Iroh?” LMFAOOO
ZUFF out here guessing the plot like a champ! 😂😂
27:58 Hama is shocked here because that's not a waterbending stance! That's an earthbending one!
I need to know why the fire nation jail cell is made of wood if it’s meant to imprison firebenders and they can just burn through it! I never understood it other than plot.
Combustion man told them of course.
Based on one of your comments...you should check the Kyoshi novels
It's not a kid's show lol😅
Puppet master is my favorite episode
Wanted poster translation:
Authorities are offering a reward of 1000 gold coins for the arrest of this 12 year-old girl. She disguises herself as a blind person, and although she is small, she is extremely dangerous.
After this series over you guys have to react to the legend of Korra next it’s too good
I mean was Hama really "evil"? If you had to watch your family and friends be jailed, tortured and killed right in front of you....How would you turn out?
I think many people believe evil is usually made and not born, so a horrible past doesn’t exempt you from being evil. If Hama’s reaction had been to take horrible vengeance against fire nation soldiers or the royal family, viewers might have been more understanding, but as another comment pointed out, she basically chose random people to get back at. That’s why people think she’s evil.
Hopefully better than those that committed those acts
She definitely was evil
One of the best episodes
i really hope yall react to Legend of Korra after this 😭 i love y’all’s reactions and ATLA❤
Sokka is defensive because the moon spirit is his ex-girlfriend.
Hama is the best ❤
The kids are not able to use Earth Kingdom money in the Fire Nation because it could jeopardize their identity.
The Fire Nation took the waterbenders because they posed the biggest threat.
zuff smart asl😊
Hama couldn’t be Nini because the story was kataras moms story and Hama is too hold to have been her moms friend. She also got taken in front of everyone by the firebenders she didn’t go missing
Bryce ❤🥰
You guys need to react the Legend of Korra too 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Not you coining ‘bloodbender’ before it’s said 🤯
23:13 when my boy just realized what waterbending can truly do his face is like the 1000 yard stare ... he just imagine thos lilis flowers as people getting all the water (blood is 70 percent water) just ripped out of you .. its scary ..
ayyyy its my fav dudes.
We all think Aang is the most powerful but it’s really Katara
Am i too early??
Head canon theory: Yue gave Katara a power up to overcome Hamas blood bending
dude on the left is a pre-watcher
They’re pretty upfront with stuff they have and haven’t seen already. Rob’s already said he’s seen a bunch of episodes of this show, while the other two haven’t. Why would they lie about that?
It's not that hard to predict where this plot was going, dude 😅, especially after the "places you never think about" line.
don't come for Zuff 😤
bro it’s a kids show it’s pretty easy to recognize where things are heading 😂
nah he’s just hella smart
Avatar Kyosho froze body ( heart )her enemy.
