Richard Thornley ! THANK YOU HAHAHA min 1:55 -----> ATOMIC NEUCLI! SO FUNNY YOU JUST INVENTED A WORD NOW EVERY TIME I REMEMBER NEUCLI I REMEMBER ABOUT ELECTRON DENSITY BEING HIGHER AND THUS MORE ATTRACTED TO THE POSITIVE NEUCLI!!! HILAROUS
I don't watch your videos because I need to learn, I like the way you explain them and through that I learn. I would love to see some more of these videos.
In the carboxylic acid is a C double bond O and a C single bond O If the acid has dissociated to form COOminus then the bonds are now one and a half PS Your comment made my day!
@lilgaything Good point, but this is the SL explanation using Lewis Structures. HL uses the hybrid orbital model, which is more accurate, but beyond the scope os this assessment statement.
By the power of Avagadro! haha you're vids are amazing, my exam is in 1 week and ive been watching them all, wish i could have seen these earlier though!
I have a question: why does alkenes react more easily then alkanes when alkenes are doubble bonds but alkanes have single, but here it seems it should be the other way around?
I wish my chemistry teacher was as cool as this!
Even after I've done my finals I'll keep watching your videos!

Even though this video was made 10 years ago, it is much easier to understand the video than some modern educational video

On average the bond is half the time a double, half the time a single, and contains 3 electrons on average.
legend says he still spells nuclei as neucli
