Please, does the plastic spring that comes with the pistol break in the future? I'm in the country where I live. There is no spring made of iron? I price disappointedly. I hope you can reassure me.
Please, is it true, is the plastic spring that is in the Walther PDP gun breaks and not solid. I bought the Walther PDP gun and I feel disappointed after I saw the plastic spring and there is no steel spring in my store that sells steel spring.
I noticed you have a different guide rod and recoil spring than what comes stock. Did you replace the stock rod and spring before firing the gun? In watching other PDP field strip vids I saw that on the barrel underside where the rod and spring are there is significant scratching ranging from light to bad enough to throw metal shaving from I assume the spring contacting the barrel. Have never seen that on another pistol but also haven't seen anyone talk about it on the PDP despite it being present in almost every field strip. Any thoughts?
Yes that’s an after market steel guide rod … switched it out after a couple hundred rounds Becuase I was gonna get a threaded barrel and put a comp on but ended up putting it on one of my caniks… they can interchange guide rods.. by the way love your user name …. Mongoose is gone

Geez. He said she said. I’ve seen it all over the internet when researching how to clean the inside of your bore. It’s ok to use brass brush. No! It’s not ok.Only use patches. You need to clean the copper and lead fouling out. You shouldn’t clean the lead and fouling out as it helps for accuracy.I have a new pdp and I’m not sure what to do about cleaning the barrel now.Aren’t these barrel made of high strength steal? How can a brass brush damage it? Very confused here guys. Also have a .22 pistol and not sure how to clean the barrel in that as I run into the same debate.
Use whatever you like to clean it brother , people who speak in absolutes (never do this , never do that) usually have no idea what they are talking about. As long as you keep it running your good to go!
OMFG NOOOO! Don't EVER pull a brush back through a barrel unless it's not got a twist rate of any kind. Even with non twist it's still a good habit to never ever pull back through.
@@TerminalM193 once again we are talking about 2 different things .. a bore brush made of BRASS , yes you are not supposed to pull back… what I am using here is not that… look at the brush I’m using.. it’s soft bristle and has no way of removing it other than pulling back… also I’m pretty sure you are a child and don’t own any guns… so you once again have no idea what you are talking about no matter how much UA-cam or video games you play.
@@Da47Panda yes I know the difference between brushes. When using any kind of oil or cleaner I've always been told and have heard from other sources that you still never run 2 directions, only 1. Whether or not that changes when running a dry soft brush idk...
@@TerminalM193 I understand that you have heard things , but you obviously have no experience in REAL firearms, but that’s ok, you seem like you are a young kid and you will learn. Soft bristle brush can be run in both directions. That’s why the are manufactured with a FIXED top end , their is no threaded top like the ones included on brass brushes. So there is no way back when you run it through but to pull it back. If that was the case no one would manufacture them. And it definitely would not come included in the firearm pictured here.
Just got a PDP yesterday and will clean today. Thanks for the excellent video.

The manual says never use Hoppes or other ammonia products on Walther pistols.
What do you use?
On what page of the Manuel does it say that?
Whats the difference/benefit in using the white pads over a regular microfiber cloth?
Hoppes no.9 is the best thing you can use to clean your gun.

@@Da47Panda Haha thanks. That guide rod looks much more functional and tough than the stock. Wish they came standard.

What type of guide rod did you switch to? That's not the stock one is it?
No it is not, it’s a stainless steel guide rod with a captured spring. Also not the stock trigger and trigger bar spring
@@Da47Panda awsome did the guide rod mess with cycling different grain rounds?
@@michaelrichey9156 not at all, on the contrary it cycles cleaner using 115, 124 gr. And reduced the recoil impulse

I have some Trijicon H3 suppressor hight sights … lower 1/3 witness

I'm assuming a 407c Holosun would work? I have the 4" compact.
407 and 507 share the same footprint
