    So far, one of the most detailed reviews on this pistol that I have seen. I’m starting to think that my channel was the only one not to get one of these ;-) Thank you very much for the video.

    As a new gun owner I didn't know much about Walther or any other brand of firearms, but I bought this gun last summer and it does not disappoint. Its just really esthetically pleasing to hold and shoot. The grip really bites into your hand which gives that "I'm in control" kinda feeling which I think is important. The recoil does take some getting used to but overall this gun gets a 10/10 for me. I plan on changing out the rear sight and adding a red dot to it as well. Just a really great gun.

      I prefer the 4" compact size over the larger full size PDP. I had a brief chance to get a new PDP 9mm full size with the LE officer, mil price: $520.00 but elected to wait for a 4" compact. From what I know these PDPs take Glock after market sights. I'd add this new engineered design to up the 9mm vel & punch 🥊 sounds good. If the PDP line can feed, cycle 💯 that's my main concern.

    I’m so happy Walther didn’t change the best parts about the ppq. They left the same grip shape and profile, left the internals the same so we know it’s going to be a proven and reliable platform. They simply updated a few things people complained about like the grip texture aggressiveness and ability to mount an optic without deleting the rear sight. Both wins in my book. Maybe now the ppq will come down in price and I can score one for a good deal 😂. Good review and nice gun!

      All of my Walther’s (PPQ, P99) except for my PPK have the paddle mag release. My carry gun, the HK VP9SK, has it too. Since I have smaller hands, I’m able to actuate it better by using my middle finger instead of having to re-position my grip to hit a button style release with my thumb. To each their own though. It comes down to preference and training. I’ve trained my whole life with paddles so I’m better with that. Here’s to hoping Walther offers the PDP with it in the future! ;)

    I recently built a thousand dollar glock 19 using a polymer80 lower. This gun basically has the same exact features besides for it having no night sights or aluminum trigger. You're basically getting the quality of an apex trigger kit without the trigger shoe with this gun. In polymer80 terms this gun is worth around $830 and you're getting it for $600 😳👍. It's honestly one of the best deals I've seen in a really long time. If I would have known this was coming I would have never built a p80. Im definitely going to buy one!! . Im going to wait a year and let the company work out any problems it might have. It seems like most gun's have minor issues throughout the first year. I have a really good feeling about this firearm :). It might be the best one yet when it comes to pistols under a thousand dollars.

    1. When shooting you should always know how many rounds you have left in your magazine.
    2. If you know your gun you don't need a press check. The ejector will tell you if there's a round in there.
    3. Pinky pressure brings down the front of the gun.

    This looks very similar to a Canik TP9SF Elite I used to have. One thing, if not the only thing, I didn't like about the Canik was the sight plane was so high above my hand. It shot well, but was kinda heavy for the size. This looks like it could be about the right size. I have a G43x now, so I'm not really looking now, but Walther is one that seems to actually improve things, instead of just make the same thing but cheaper.

    I want to call it the Personal Defense Pistol as well. Just rolls off the tongue. I've heard it called that by others also. I just got back from Cabelas in Virginia and sadly they didn't have one in stock despite showing it on their website. I was going to drop the money then and there. All in all it looks like a great update to the PPQ, but I honestly can't understand why they did it now when the market is screaming for micro-9mm guns, from Glock's 43 line to Sig's P365 which apparently was the best selling gun last year. I hope they do well with this, but the PPS and/or CCP deserve an update (with improved capacity) also.

      @@GBGuns based on the date of your vid I understand. Had a range day last Sunday and fired 4 different 9mm pistols. Very easy to tell which cases were from the PDP because of the mark left by that chamber stepping on both brass and nickle cases. I'm purposely avoiding calculating what I spent on ammo...

    I have a PPQ M1 , I fixed the grips with talon grips , I got a apex trigger , so better trigger with a short reset.... I puton better sights even though sights for the PPQ are rare ,,, I know all this but why is this is the third PDP video Ive watched I am currious about the barrels velocities compared to a PPQ and are the barrels swappable

    • @jasonvelasquez6673
      @jasonvelasquez6673 3 роки тому

      I understand you can swap barrels..I too am a paddle fan. To add I understand that walther is billing the PDP as a modular solution and will be releasing the slides for purchase And "heard" the slides can be put on PPQ lower.

    One gripe I have with Walther is magazine availability. You can never find PPQ magazines in stock. I know mecgar makes the magazines. Is Walther that much of a German manufacture penny pincher that they can't put in a large order with mecgar?

    • @moeharri
      @moeharri 3 роки тому

      Depends on your needs--I have both. The Q4 SF is very heavy in comparison and has a separate model for optics while all PDP models are optics ready. At this point, I'd say I definitely like the Q4 SF OR better, but it should be better--it's twice the price. I also like that the Q4 accepts replacement grips from Lok Grips--they're awesome.
