Same i think sing should stay(like this, the changes for sing are fine) because its so iconic in the pokemon franchise but rest i too iconic in the smash franchise
Seeing Rollout become the new dash attack was an...interesting choice. Your ideas of reworking Sing & Rest are just as fascinating. I certainly called it that Disarming Voice would be Jigglypuff's new neutral special. Well done as usual, Delzethin! Looking forward to seeing what you got for the latter half of 2024!
I expect Jigglypuff to always return. People WANT her gone, but Nintendo almost cutting her means that something made them decide to bring her back. Something that got her over Mewtwo, and objectively more popular Pokemon.
@robynthethird4776 can she and Corvknight be a two in one tom and jerry style character where she bonks, corv avoids and it hits the opponent? Cuz that'd be funny. I still wouldn't replace jiggs tho.
This was a neat one, definitely feels like a welcome update to the singing balloon. Turning Rollout into the Dash Attack was neat, I feel like Yoshi’s Egg Roll could get a similar treatment, and Hyper Voice as a Smash attack is a really cool change. Disarming Voice really is too perfect for Jigglypuff as a new neutral special, and I like you tuned it to avoid encouraging camping. I’m not sure how I feel about the change to Rest personally, it loses a bit of the funny factor that I like about the move, but it is an interesting idea. I feel also your two versions of sing would probably work better as separate moves rather than one, maybe Sing could become a Shield + Special input if those become standardized next game. Ripping off Mike Kirby for the Final Smash is pretty funny, but I like the Tera theming. As for Jigglypuff for staying around for the next game, even if she probably should be cut, there’s a big part of me that still wants her to stick around. They are the OG weird pick, and I feel like there would be an odd feeling to having all of the Original 12 back but Jigglypuff.
The funny thing is how she was made to be terrible, but it turns out that the nerfed version of a busted character resulted in a fair mid tier, so in melee onwards they went from "making a Joke character" to "Making an air specialist glass cannon" with mixed results.
This was a fun video! But not gonna lie, most of that changes made to puffs moves make her worse in my opinion. 1.) Dash attack Puff's ult dash attack is surprisingly good, coming out frame 5, the same as Snakes so it's pretty fast and strong too, being able to combo within pound or fair. But making dash attack a slower but powerful rollout is damaging to her, as now it's a move that'll be less likely to throw out as you won't be landing it as much. 2.) Nair Puff's nair is one of her best aerials, as it has a very long lasting hitbox making it great for gimping recoveries and its early hitbox decently strong too. The new nair, while good in being much faster, you saying it's simlar to Pac-mans (a little bit of kirby too) sounds nice but you don't seem to imply that the late hit will last as long meaning her gimping is worse. 3.) Up air, utilt Just gonna combine these two moves as they both preform a similar function for Puff in being grounded combo tools and the occasiany juggle for up air (but puff does not really go for air juggling) While up tilt loses its combo potential earlier in favor of killing, up air is puff's bread and butter for landing rest, as it has little landing. I won't go into to much detail with your new up air and up tilt as they seem to have been changed as a result of rest being different, but I will say I do like the idea of Puff incorporating more singing based moves into her kit but I don't like how the new upair seems to make puff focus more on juggling, as a puff player you don't really care about air juggles you wanna get the opponent off stage as fast possible for early gimps. 4.) Throws The changes you've made to Puff's throws are more or less fine, cause again i do like the idea of Puffs front throw being singing based. But i think that Puff's front throw should keep the lower angle as opposed to the back throw as you're more often to get front throws for edged guarding compared to back (though i wouldn't mind if both back and front were to have a low angle). Also i'd rather Puff's up throw be a kill throw rather than a combo throw, as if Puff doesn't get a gimp she struggles to kill, so having a solid up throw kill would be great. 5.) Sing Puff's sing in Ultmate is the first time in the smash series that the move is actually usable, as in other smash games the moves hitbox was small and overall really laggy. I really like the change to have 3 distinct visuals as to indicate when the hitbox is out and away and I do like the aerial version of giving you a bit more upward distance. BUT the idea of removing the sleep hitbox for a regular attack is a bad choice in my opinion, as it removes a lot of solid sing mix up tools for platforms like landing up air into sing on battlefield or ps2. Sleep might be broken in competitive pokemon but sleep in smash is nowhere near as strong as only two moves have the effect (snooze and sing) and snooze is a moving projectile while sing is a stationary move which is SUPER easy to punish if wiffed. Not to mention you don't get much out of an attacking version of sing besides maybe attacking potential metor smashes. 6.) Rest Oh boy, the big one. I'm just gonna cut straight to point and not sugarcoat it, your version of rest sounds like ass lol. Turning it into wakey wakey from smash 4 is a terrible idea as that was one of puff's worst custom moves, being unreliable and weaker than base rest. Rest is what soldifes Puff as a glass cannon, it's meant to be a high risk high reward based move with a small hitbox, i'd argue its not cheesy at all as it is extremely risky to go far as if you miss you basically die. I said " rest is meant to" because rest is more of a high risk MEDIUM reward move as the move is not strong as it could be and if landed opponents still have the opportunity to punish right back if not a screen or star ko, it's nice that you wake up faster if landed but it's not really enough. But your version of rest, is basically a weaker falcon punch, as since its a charged-based attack your unlikely to get the full strength of the move unless you get a shield break. Your rest seems to only be good for catching tech chases or ledge trapping, other than that it's kinda useless. Overall your version of Puff is more or less the same but with now weaker combo and gimping tools. Still a fun video, but as a puff main i had to rant lol.
Tbh I see what you did aith the change but puff f throw shouldn't be changed because it kinda fits into puffs nature of being a balloon pokemon. And if rest was high risk medium reward I don't think it would be that good. But I overall agree with you.
Not sure if Jigglypuff actually learns the move off the top of my head, but a rename of rest as "Stored Power" might be a bit more fitting since it doesn't heal like rest does in the main games.
I think igglybuff would be a more interesting choice than scream tail because it'd be much like pichu is to pikachu in a way. Igglybuff wouldnt be able to move in the air or vocalize as well as jigglypuff would, but would be harder to hit and not as easy to launch.
@@SquidlyPoli1i disagree just based on the fact you said it would be like Pichu, Scream Tail as an echo would be way more interesting because it'd contrast Pichu instead of merely being Pichu but for Jiggs.
@@SquidlyPoli1 It's possible but that may not turn out very well in practice though and I mean probably not as much interest & impact as Scream Tail could do since Iggybuff might feel very underwhelming in their playstyle.
The fact that my favorite pokemon since i was little is still around on one of my favorite game series ever makes me so happy, i would be horribly disappointed if they remove Jiggs from smash... I'm glad this leans more into fairy and sound moves and i'm so glad the air game kept going good! The up tilt move reminded me of Bowser's up tilt, making my two mains even closer, it's so cute!
Never heard anyone refer to Juliana's design as "stylish", least of all the dippy hat. Since we know that pokémon can vary in size, a very small Scream Tail could work. Or give Jigglypuff a hat that resembles the tail.
I think an even larger change to Jigglypuff would be a change in its English voice since Rachael Lillis recently passed away (R.I.P.). Her voice clips from Smash 64 made it all the way to Ultimate, and as impressive as that is, I think the theoretical next game will be the moment a new voice actress takes the reigns of Jigglypuff not just to accomodate adjustments to its moveset, but also having Lillis' soul bestowing the torch from heaven. Michele Knotz is most likely to carry on the Jigglypuff role since she succeeded Lillis' roles in the Pokémon anime after TPCI acquired the dub rights.
I've long thought it would be funny for Jigglypuff to have some sort of mechanic based on her marker pen microphone that debuffs opponents with squiggled glasses or mustaches on their portraits. Might even be fertile ground for other in jokes.
If I had to change anything about the rework... -Some animations (notably F-tilt and Pound) would be adjusted to be a bit less awkward. -The new dash attack's animation would look more like the anime version. -N-air would be left unchanged. -F-throw would be left unchanged... with greater knockback. -Up taunt would be left unchanged. With that aside, nice stuff you got for the Sleepy Singer. :>
I always thought of having Sing as Jigglypuff's neutral special, Disarming Voice as a side special, & Gyro Ball as Jigglypuff's recovery move/up special. Also, maybe have Rest restore Jigglypuff's damage meter when it's activated just like in the original games.
Very well done moveset changes and adjustments to make Jigglypuff feel more modernized. As for Jigglypuff possibly being cut, Jigglypuff is one of the most poorly aged inclusions in the series. It's entirely there because of a gag from the anime that stopped being used decades ago, and because it was easy to make with recycled Kirby assets. I don't think seniority should protect it. After Pichu, Jigglypuff is by far the most expendable Pokémon veteran, imo. I even think we should even keep Squirtle or Ivysaur as standalone characters over Jigglypuff. Heck even Eevee is a better choice and represents the series better in more ways. Throw in some some elemental stone install shenanigans and you got a real interesting character on your hands.
I agree on Eevee, especially since it kind of became a secondary mascot thanks to Pokemon Let's Go. Though if you're saying Eevee should use the elemental stones to evolve into the other eeveelutions and use their attacks, I kind of disagree on that. I think it should stay as Eevee and use their elemental attacks itself (Thunderbolt, Confusion, Dazzling Gleam, etc...) Kind of like how the Partner Eevee in Let's Go could learn the elemental moves of its evolutions. That being said, I'd have the Eeveelutions show up for the Final Smash. Sort of like Extreme Evoboost, but they attack the foe instead of powering up Eevee.
@@BJGvideos Even if Jigglypuff didn't use the marker in Smash, it being a recurring gag character in the early seasons of the Pokemon anime (up to Hoenn) most likely helped its popularity in Japan. (as well as it being able to reuse some of Kirby's assets)
Jigglypuff slander is insane puff is iconic and doesnt deserve to be cut there are so many more characters that should be cut. And puff isnt even a gag the marker aint there lmao.
@@Mike-di3mo To be fair to the OG commenter, they never said Jigglypuff was a gag herself, just that the main reason she's in Smash is because of a gag (since that's what made her popular and memorable in the anime to begin with).
This is a remake I can totally get behind. My one note is that maybe one of Puff’s alternate costumes should include the tam hat worn by Gloria in Sword and Shield. Maybe as a replacement for its Kirby inspired sleeping cap
I had an idea on a potential up B move So puff would pause in the air to swallow a bunch of air (possibly as stall by making it cancellable) and would float up with the air slowly going away But when you let go of up B, Jigglypuff bursts out the air below her (potential spike with a stronger hitbox) and shoots out the air she has left, recovering higher and shooting a stronger air cloud projectile the less it’s held Sing would be shoved into neutral special and you already solved rollout Really like some of these changes though, jigglybuff is a dream
Hi I never posted anything but I just wanted to congratulate you for all your video. You always make amazing video I really love it, I love how creative you are and how you make the video You are really really talented and you deserve a lot more of subscribers for your amazing work Keep working like that and take your time ! Thanks you for everything 🙏
I've been waiting for this episode for a long time and it delivered. The only complaint I have is that the Final Smash is transformative like Yoshi's Brawl-Smash 4 Final Smash.
I love the Mike Kirby ripoff for the final smash but I have a feeling we’re definitely going to already have a new Pokémon generation by the time the next Smash game happens so having Terastallization may date the moveset by having a gimmick that might not be relevant to the current releases. That’s the hard part when referencing a specific game in a series for a moveset. You want something that’s iconic enough to stand the test of time, or something that appears in multiple games.
In Smash 6 they should either drastically update the moveset or just give us a new popular Pokémon, this isn’t 1999 anymore where we only had 151 Pokémon, we now have over 1000, or just cut Jigglypuff altogether, after all, were it not for Sonic delaying Brawl, Jigglypuff would probably have been missed out on Brawl.
Sonic did not delay Brawl. The real reason it was delayed was due to the sheer amount content. It just happened to line up with Sonic getting announced
Jigglypuff is my favorite Pokemon thanks to Smash, so I was definitely curious to see what you'd do with this revamp. Overall its pretty good but I do have 2 issues, 1 even though the new up taunt fits really well with the character, I do have a personal preference to the old one, & 2 Rest's instant but hard to land KO power is just too iconic & hilarious to change this much, I'd even go as far to say its sacrilegious to do so. Everything else you did I liked though, the Final Smash coming full circle with the Kirby inspiration was especially amusing.
Jigglypuff. B: Rollout. >B: Play Rough. ^B: Uproar (Aims downward to launch itself upward). VB: Draining Kiss (Grabs opponent and kisses them to heal 5% damage) Final: Hyper Voice(loud sound waves are launched from Jigglypuff, similar to DK's original Final). Scream Tail(Echo) B: Psychic Fangs. >B: Alluring Voice (Flips Opponent around and projectiles). ^B: Uproar. VB: Draining Kiss. Final: Boomburst (instead of getting bigger, it launches a loud sound wave causing heavy damage).
I have ideas for Redoing Jigglypuff. 1.Jigglypuff no longer gets KO’d when its own Shield breaks. 2.Moveset: Jab - Double Slap Dash Attack - Take Down Side Tilt - Uproar Up Tilt - Drain Punch Down Tilt - Round Side Smash - Zen Headbutt Up Smash - Mega Punch Down Smash - Frustration Neutral Aerial - Magical Leaf Forward Aerial - Gyro Ball Back Aerial - Mega Kick Up Aerial - Icy Wind Down Aerial - Body Slam Grab: Stays the Same. Pummel - Pound Forward Throw - Focus Punch Back Throw - Fling Up Throw - Psychic Down Throw - Rollout Neutral Special - Disarming Voice Side Special - Dazzling Gleam Up Special - Bounce Down Special - Sing Final Smash - Hyper Voice 3.Alternate Costumes 3.1.Stays the Same. 3.2.Blue: Based on Marill. 3.2.Green: Based on Solosis. 3.3.White: Based on Wooloo. 3.4.Black: Based on Gastly. 3.5.Beige: Based on Rowlet. 3.6.Purple: Based on Venonat. 3.7.Red: Based on Trapinch. 3.8.Brown: Based on Hoothoot.
As a puff main gotta say that I'd probably have a great time with this as anything you outright removed or replaced I didn't use much. Also I'm tired of the puff slander in this comment section
@@End_Productions that’s the thing that makes puff work as a character. You really are heavily handicapping yourself if you don’t go for edgeguards with puff. You are playing her in hard mode
@End_Productions You don't edge guard as Puff????? Puff's whole tool kit is centered around edge guarding, her long lasting aerials, great air speed, and having her f-throw buffed to have a lower angle to get easier off stage kills. You've got 5 jumps my man, get your ass of that stage and kick people 😂
Pink Bow is also an item that boosts normal type moves, so removing it for silk scarf would be redundant, though more up to date since I don't think pink bow has been in the past few games. Variants should probably be regular color, shiny color, gameboy green and gameboy pocket grayscale, I think. Would be neat to have 4 color variants with different accessories
Jigglypuff’s new final smash just being Mic Kirby is so genius I’m mad I didn’t come up with it myself. I always felt it was weird that in brawl they opted for cook to be Kirby’s final smash when in my opinion Mic was much more iconic of the screen nuke copy abilities. Nowadays I couldn’t in good conscience recommend giving it to Kirby now as his games have given him much more interesting ultimate attacks to pull from so giving it to smash’s Kirby spin off is so clever.
I love that idea for the Final Smash. If I could animate I would make something for it right here and now, especially for that final hit shattering the crown.
Honestly, I would have made it so Rest actually does what it’s supposed to do in the actual Pokémon games and make it so it can heal Jigglypuff. Perhaps we can mix it with your rework? Press the attack button to use the built up energy for an attack, press the special button to absorb it and heal based on how much energy was charged. Still has the same drawbacks of waiting too long only to get nothing and being left vulnerable (especially if you go for the healing). But now the move is more accurate to the source material, and Jigglypuff has another resource to offset their fragility… If they use it smartly.
what are these changes lmfao, her dash attack is like her only good burst option so changing it is stupid, her aerials are mostly fine as they are, her down and ftilt defo need changing just because they're so useless, her up tilt is also fine as is, the up and neutral b changes are actually cool, but changing rest is genuinely insane, it is such an iconic and sick move in smash and i have no idea why you would ever even think of changing it
I heavily disagree with Jigglypuff losing rest, it's just such a fun, iconic and gameplay-defining move. I also don't really like the airborne sing change, since the main way to land it other than hard reads is jumping towards/off the ledge or b-reversing with it. That being said, interesting ideas, and I do think a lingering projectile is basically a necessity for a Jigglypuff rework.
I don't see the issue with Scream tail being bigger, if it's an alternate costume and not an actual scream tail then that wouldn't be a problem, i mean the Fierce Diety is bigger then Adult Link and thats a costume he has. Although the big hair could be problematic, I'm not going to argue with that.
Was not actually expecting Sing to be kept as a recovery as I actually thought that it was going to be moved to Purin's Down Special while something else would be used as their Up Special instead (not sure which Pokemon Move though), meanwhile Rest would've just been a new Appeal either Left, or Right (please let Smash 6 give both horizontal Appeals their own, separate things like both of the vertical Appeals, rather than just copying them, that, and make Appeals longer, and slower again since Appeals are now cancelable at any time now), but I do like how you rearranged them to where Sing could be used as a recovery now, alongside additional buffs, and Rest where it could actually be used as a practical attack, and not just for cheesing! Overall, while there are certain things I probably would've changed myself, like alternating Purin's Shield Break where they're not instantly K.O.'ed, I'm quite happy with this rework as it does a pretty good job of feeling like the actual Pokemon that we all know, and love from the original Generation now, and even adding some Fairy magic for several of their attacks, as well as new sound, and Fairy Moves, while still keeping all the whimsical, hilarious, weird, and adorable aspects that players who still main one of Gen 1's iconic Mons (and in general) can jump right in (funny how Purin is also the only Fighter of the Original 12 who's Midair Attacks have ALL been left exactly the same since Day 1)! I'm also glad that you gave Purin different Alternate Costume's that actually changes the skin color, and eyes, and not just barely different shades of pink, and different headgear (yeah, Screaming Tail would probably be more suited as a Dash Fighter, if not its own separate Moveset. Also don't get why TPC won't allow most of the playable Pokemon in Smash to change their skin colors much, same odd issues with Sonic The Hedgehog, and Pac-Man)! My theory on why Smash still hasn't adapted any of Purin's new Fairy Type Moves yet is due to not having enough time by the time X & Y came out, and the 3DS version of For was less than a year away at that point, and Special because, well, you know by now, so hopefully when the sixth comes out, and Purin somehow manages to stick around a fifth time, hopefully that'll FINALLY change, and they'll have several new Fairy attacks, and sound Moves! (One way I thought of that they could also do is have Purin be a part of the Pokemon Trainer's trio, replacing Zenigame, and Fushigisou, as well as Lizardon, and have them be a separate character again, so that way not only would it keep its redesigned Moveset, it also wouldn't take up any character slots on its own, leaving only Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Lizardon as the only Gen 1 Mons, meanwhile, the remaining 2 could be Pokemon from a Generation that hasn't been playable yet, like maybe a single Starter, and someone else entirely! That, and have the Pokemon Change ability tweeked in a way where it doesn't take up a Special slot, yet still easy to confirm into! Not sure how practical that would be, but I still think it'd be interesting.) Another solid video, Delzethin! I like that you even managed to get Purin's Remake It video out at the very end of the month similar with Lueur's Challenger Approaching video, what a coincidence (now let's see if you can do it 3 times in a row for July 31st, lol)! XD This is also coincidentally the twelfth RI video, like how Purin themselves are the twelfth, and last member of the Original 12, haha! Wow, Lucina as a potential De-Clone Fighter, and no longer a copy of Marth (outside of the non-tipper mechanic)?! I know who I'm rooting for in RI's next video (also hoping her Idle, and Victory Animations are more distinct than Marth's as I still don't understand why hers are the same as his despite having her own, unique Appeals, maybe give her a new On-Screen Appearance too)! Can't wait for the next video! Keep up the amazing work! Congratulations on finally reaching 30000 too! Here's to another 30000, and hopefully 40000 comes much sooner!
I can actually comment on this moveset since I'm one of the mentally insane that main the Puff. First off... yeah she's probably not gonna make it next time. Secondly, I do agree on her vibing nature being nailed perfectly in Smash. For the basic attacks, the changes to the jab and up-tilt are ones I greatly appreciate, the up tilt especially. But on the dash attack, it does feel like her best burst option is being removed. Smash attacks, chef's kiss, beautiful. Aerials as well are amazing, especially the Nair. It feels more Jigglypuff-y. Grabs and Throws make me very happy, so so far this is going great. I will do a bwomp sound with that new up taunt. Disarming Voice is a great use of the move and would definitely help in baiting opponents and even edgegaurding. Keeping Pound is a good choice. The change in Sing animation is much appreciated and the aerial change is intriguing. While helpful in many scenarios, it does feel like your losing the strength of jumping a bit befor the sing goes off. If it could transition into the grounded version smoothly, than it's a welcome change. Okay, now for Rest. The removal of the cheese is drastic, BUT, with all the other changes, could still be good. I have simply two suggestions. One, you can press shield to have her rub her eyes and store the energy that can be released when used again. That way, you still have dedicate time to waiting for an opportunity while still having it as a strong combo finisher. Secondly, let the aerial version have her launch herself in a direction to have fun edgegaurding, but make how soon she can wake up take longer so it's more of a commitment if you do launch yourself. Final Smash is really nice. Add a bit of fairy pizzazz to that last scream, no? Over all, a nice take on the Puffster, with welcoming changes that make her more qurky. Good job as always man. Geez I hope someone sees this
Imagine being a puff main and saying she isn't gonna make it next time. If puff isn't gonna make then falcon, Ness, and fox ain't making it ether I could give you tons of reasons why puff would make it over them.
@@Mike-di3mo Well the thing is, those three are representing their respective franchises. Pokemon could have way better representatives than Puff, such as newer mon's. Is she icioic and a star, yeah, but so are other mon's. It will be amazing if she dies return though, as well as the rest. Their series are worth remembering
While I wouldn’t mind if Jigglypuff doesn’t make a comeback in the next Smash game, I would be glad if his/her moves were finally overhauled into something like this. Also, clever idea of making Jigglypuff’s FS literally Mike Kirby. lol
I only thing I don’t like is making Rest unrecognizable, it is too iconic for me to live without, at most either have it heal of missed or rename it to Stored Power Everything else is fair game in my book
This is the first video of yours where I really think it proves why the character should remain the same. I really appreciate the work, but I think Jigglypuff's whole deal is being a cheese-ridden broken mess. I don't see the point bringing her back unless she's remains a chaotic mess.
On the topic of Scream Tail, I see a world where that becomes an echo fighter. Less air mobility and basically the same ground movement, but heavier and stronger with bigger hitboxes.
I think it’d be cool if Jigglypuff’s Tera Boomboost final smash involved them visually changing into Scream Tail before sending out a powerful sonic blast.
Jigglypuff needs a new taunt where they take out a black marker, wave it around in front of them, and draws on an opponent if they're in point blank range.
If you ask me, the Smash Bros. series should have the option to switch the Pokémon's voices; they can be either the anime cries or their in-game cries. In fact, any Smash character that had a different voice in prior games can have that voice again *as an option* , like Ike having his Brawl voice instead of his Ultimate voices.
I'd take this and apply it to different language voices. I want funny David Hayter Snake in the same game as Japanese Marth in the same game as lore accurate Spanish Ganondorf.
@@gubsy3730 Ganondorf's voice is the same across languages, though...? Unless they decide to have the Zelda characters' voice actors from BotW and TotK (and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity) provide voice lines in the Smash Bros. series.
I have a video idea for the next challenger approaching. You could do Beat from JSR/JSRF. He would add a unique form movement being skates that could have you gain momentum to reach full speed as well as make you slide a little after you stop inputing foward letting you use a smash attack while sliding foward. He could use his spray can and graffiti leaving an effect like inkling ink, Tricks for his air attacks. I would like to see your take on his moveset. Love the videos and content❤
I thought this was pretty good. I’ll be honest. That final smash got me. I thought, “two hits?” Thats pretty good. And then I heard the third hit with loudest stuff and thought, “Wait this is just Kirby’s mic ability.” Still good though.
Rollout is now unchargable, instead getting stronger with each use within a stock, keeping the same startup. If you can get away with the weaker versions, you might get away with the game. This "can get out of hand" design might be unhealthy, I don't truly know... Rest could be a committal recovery move, like how it's supposed to be. Again it may be unhealthy, but it might be okay if it can only be done when the opponent looses a stock while puff is on the stage and can't be done freely if puff was even slightly off stage upon a taken stock. This essentially rewards puff for not edge guarding.
I agree with the up smash I think another part of the new wake up slap move bonus should be that wake up slap deals more damage/knockback to sleeping opponents
how sick would it be if disarming voice ignored shields? pretty strong, but not unseen in smash, and with the right damage and utility tuning, it could be balanced, if powered. it would also fit into puff's playstyle of conditioning options in order to set up for a rest opening (whose change was... odd... i expected if rest was changed, it would be closer to it's pokemon appearance. it feels like it should heal if you forgo the hitbox and reach max charge...)
1:48 I know it’s not much BUT I’d love for a Alt.Color, A Jigglypuff whose fur on top of its head to be rocker spiky instead of the default curl to reference Peaches’ Jigglypuff from PokeToon Episode 8: Jigglypuff’s Song😝🥰
Scream Tail would definitely work as an Echo Fighter or semi-clone of Jigglypuff. I imagine it having a lot more weight and a bit more power, but being a bigger and easier target and being just a little less agile in the air.
Plz, can you do "Remake It! Princess Peach's smash moveset" replacing her neutral attack with the ribbon attack she uses in Princess Peach Showtime finally freeing poor Toad
I really like giving Jigglypuff a projectile to help deal with disjoint and the move set looks great, it’s difficult to tell without without playing using said move set though. Something feels wrong with rest. With how I play puff it’s more an emergency kill option off a combo or read, this feels like a move I wouldn’t use. There’s some concern about the knock back of forward throw, but it’s a great move set.
Jigglypuff CAN learn mega punch and mega kick. Those should be the side special and fair names imo. Pound would then be the normal attack names. Makes more sense visually and power-wise Would also be cool if Round and/or echoed voice gains power when used multiple times in a row just like in Pokemon
Idea for a possible "let's make it" episode... The Beheaded (name probably wouldn't be the final choice for the game) This is the protagonist for Dead Cells, which would have a lot of variety for weapons he could use (plus he has a connection with Castlevania, being an official crossover, so he's got an inside man, or two)
I think you could just change the name of Pound to Mega Punch. Also, would it be going too far to have Jigglypuff heal (very slightly) while sleeping to put your opponent in a fight or flight situation? I love your vids, brah! I'm just chiming in
I'm impressed. For both my least favorite Pokémon and least favorite Smash fighter of all time, you've managed to revamp the moveset into something usable.
I'd like to add that another good addition to Jigglypuff's alts would be its shiny color. It'd work either with or without an accessory. Personally, I'd replace Pound purely for how visually boring it is, but that's just me. Also, I feel that Rest should recover some of Jigglypuff's HP to be more accurate to the games. Not too much, maybe around 3-5 percent.
I'f rather see Jigglypuff Dynamax instead of Terastalize for a Final Smash. Homages Puff Up better, and I think Max Starfall's three pillars would be a neat attack.
Meta Knight did get a Galacta inspired alt so jiggs can get a Scream Tail inspired alt. not literally it, but yes like the yellow tips and things like that Mike Kirby would be a good Final Smash for Kirby, honestly. I'd preffer it to Cook or Ultra Sword.
Scream Tail works better as a Jigglypuff echo fighter, which can also work as a cheap alternative to a Gen 9 rep if it's not Meowscarada, Tinkaton, or Ogerpon.
I agree with keeping such an iconic fighter while updating their moveset with more sound an fairy-based moves However I really don't like the use of her arms for up tilt and f-smash and keeping sing as an up special while making it propel her upward while damaging opponent is even worse than keeping it as it is
Most of these changes are stuff I can get behind, the fair effects in particular were nice touches. However, there's 3 things I'm not keen on; Dash Attack, Rest, and Down Taunt. Dash Attacks are supposed to be burst movement options, so making the start-up more delayed is almost always a bad idea, I mean, just look at Dedede. Rest being changed to something more like a chargable Falcon Punch just sounds like a horrible idea in several ways. The original Rest may have been super cheesy, but that’s entirely the point of the move! Its a hail marry, a yolo option, and while this new versions seems to be in the same sort of boat, it's just not the same, and looks like a horrible move on principle and Puff doesn’t need more of those, especially since you kept Down Tilt as is. The new Down Taunt just sounds super confusing on how it works and being unable to cancel it is a huge no-no in my book. The old one was fine as is, especially in the older games when she did a little wink at the end. Overall, this is one of the better reworks I've seen from you, but it still has some stuff that needs a little fine tuning.
I totally agree, I think dash attack should be puff forward smash. It can be like snakes up smash where the longer you charge it the further it will go.
Good work, though i was hoping for more Fairy Type moves. I would choose ethier Link or Lucina. Im guessing Link would be more based on BOTW and TOTK while Lucina could be more based on FEH.
You replaced Rest… with a slightly better Wakie Wakie from Smash 4… I… don’t necessarily agree with this, but I do think a Rest Talk reference is cool.
My man trying to make Hungrybox unemployed with that rest change
Rest being cheese like that is just so iconic. I can't imagine Jigglypuff without it.
Agreed, I love that risky yet rewarding aspect of it.
Same i think sing should stay(like this, the changes for sing are fine) because its so iconic in the pokemon franchise but rest i too iconic in the smash franchise
@@henkiestudios5117 What if Sing was instead Perish Song?
It's not even that much of a cheap shot, you have to know what you're doing, otherwise you're gonna die
@@JohnyTheWizKid So it would be a move that would damage your opponent over time or would it be like in 2 minutes your opponent suddenly dies
A Final Smash that centers around Jigglypuff singing? That's more like it.
I don’t see how anyone would get hit by the new rest unless it charges in less than a second, in which case it’s not really much of a rest.
I expect Jigglypuff to always return. People WANT her gone, but Nintendo almost cutting her means that something made them decide to bring her back. Something that got her over Mewtwo, and objectively more popular Pokemon.
Lowkey, I feel like if Jigglypuff gets cut from the smash roster, it then creates a horrible timeline. Like a messed up monkey's paw.
I feel like if she got cut, they'd use Tinkaton to fill her cutesy joke character niche
@@robynthethird4776Not that it SHOULD happen.
@robynthethird4776 can she and Corvknight be a two in one tom and jerry style character where she bonks, corv avoids and it hits the opponent? Cuz that'd be funny. I still wouldn't replace jiggs tho.
(it's likely the fact that she is comparatively easier to make as a late addition due to using the Kirby mold)
Tbh puff shouldnt be cut shes already to iconic and are way recognizable
This was a fun video! But not gonna lie, most of that changes made to puffs moves make her worse in my opinion.
1.) Dash attack
Puff's ult dash attack is surprisingly good, coming out frame 5, the same as Snakes so it's pretty fast and strong too, being able to combo within pound or fair. But making dash attack a slower but powerful rollout is damaging to her, as now it's a move that'll be less likely to throw out as you won't be landing it as much.
2.) Nair
Puff's nair is one of her best aerials, as it has a very long lasting hitbox making it great for gimping recoveries and its early hitbox decently strong too. The new nair, while good in being much faster, you saying it's simlar to Pac-mans (a little bit of kirby too) sounds nice but you don't seem to imply that the late hit will last as long meaning her gimping is worse.
3.) Up air, utilt
Just gonna combine these two moves as they both preform a similar function for Puff in being grounded combo tools and the occasiany juggle for up air (but puff does not really go for air juggling) While up tilt loses its combo potential earlier in favor of killing, up air is puff's bread and butter for landing rest, as it has little landing.
4.) Throws
The changes you've made to Puff's throws are more or less fine, cause again i do like the idea of Puffs front throw being singing based.
5.) Sing
Puff's sing in Ultmate is the first time in the smash series that the move is actually usable, as in other smash games the moves hitbox was small and overall really laggy.
6.) Rest
Oh boy, the big one.
Should’ve seen what Super Smash Flash 2 did with jigglypuff’s alternate colors.
But that’s particularly because they can’t change the model
Not sure if Jigglypuff actually learns the move off the top of my head, but a rename of rest as "Stored Power" might be a bit more fitting since it doesn't heal like rest does in the main games.
she learns stored power through TM
Ooooo like this, or maybe boom burst could work too
I would not change Jigglypuff's Rest due to the simple fact that the move is very, very funny. :D
PJiggles would be proud
I hope Jigglypuff gains a echo version of herself (ScreamTail)
I think igglybuff would be a more interesting choice than scream tail because it'd be much like pichu is to pikachu in a way. Igglybuff wouldnt be able to move in the air or vocalize as well as jigglypuff would, but would be harder to hit and not as easy to launch.
@@SquidlyPoli1i disagree just based on the fact you said it would be like Pichu, Scream Tail as an echo would be way more interesting because it'd contrast Pichu instead of merely being Pichu but for Jiggs.
Goood idea, also in that case give scream tail perish song, after wolfey won with it I think that’s what scream tail is famous for
Clefairy could work too
@@SquidlyPoli1 It's possible but that may not turn out very well in practice though and I mean probably not as much interest & impact as Scream Tail could do since Iggybuff might feel very underwhelming in their playstyle.
It's kinda funny how you revamped my main and my former main back to back.
Also, Congratulations on 30K!
The Pink Bow is an item from Gen 2. It was the original Silk Scarf.
Not an HBox fan, but the bandana skin from Melee needs a comeback.
Btw, if you see this Delzethin, i like your videos!

Don't you dare remove my beloved pink bow
I always thought of having Sing as Jigglypuff's neutral special, Disarming Voice as a side special, & Gyro Ball as Jigglypuff's recovery move/up special. Also, maybe have Rest restore Jigglypuff's damage meter when it's activated just like in the original games.
that big band style taunt is a great idea!!!
A gag? But Smash doesn't use the marker, does it?
@@BJGvideos Even if Jigglypuff didn't use the marker in Smash, it being a recurring gag character in the early seasons of the Pokemon anime (up to Hoenn) most likely helped its popularity in Japan. (as well as it being able to reuse some of Kirby's assets)
Jigglypuff slander is insane puff is iconic and doesnt deserve to be cut there are so many more characters that should be cut. And puff isnt even a gag the marker aint there lmao.
@@Mike-di3mo
To be fair to the OG commenter, they never said Jigglypuff was a gag herself, just that the main reason she's in Smash is because of a gag (since that's what made her popular and memorable in the anime to begin with).
This is a remake I can totally get behind. My one note is that maybe one of Puff’s alternate costumes should include the tam hat worn by Gloria in Sword and Shield. Maybe as a replacement for its Kirby inspired sleeping cap
I had an idea on a potential up B move
So puff would pause in the air to swallow a bunch of air (possibly as stall by making it cancellable)
and would float up with the air slowly going away
But when you let go of up B, Jigglypuff bursts out the air below her (potential spike with a stronger hitbox) and shoots out the air she has left, recovering higher and shooting a stronger air cloud projectile the less it’s held
Sing would be shoved into neutral special and you already solved rollout
Really like some of these changes though, jigglybuff is a dream

Jigglypuff is the definition of a character that was a product of its time.
just add scream tail to get best of both worlds
They’ll probably update the moves. I mean if we’re getting rid of Puff due to nearly missing Brawl, we might as well remove Falcon & Ness too
Sonic did not delay Brawl. The real reason it was delayed was due to the sheer amount content. It just happened to line up with Sonic getting announced
Does it have to be limited to the current gen?
If not, then Gardevoir and Garchomp are up for grabs, even Dragapult is popular in its own right
Jigglypuff is my favorite Pokemon thanks to Smash, so I was definitely curious to see what you'd do with this revamp.

As a puff main gotta say that I'd probably have a great time with this as anything you outright removed or replaced I didn't use much. Also I'm tired of the puff slander in this comment section
They took her amazing forward throw away. She doesn’t get the insane edge guarding setup potential of her forward throw
@Sergio-wc1wn Oh...With how I play puff, I never really edge guard. Sorry for your loss
@@End_Productions that’s the thing that makes puff work as a character. You really are heavily handicapping yourself if you don’t go for edgeguards with puff. You are playing her in hard mode
@Sergio-wc1wn ...Really?
I guess there have been times when I struggle to actually get KOs...
Well damn...thanks I guess
I do really like the pastels idea, I just think references to actual base series appearances should take priority generally
I liked Final Smash a lot, the fact that she copies an ability from Kirby closes the circle that she was created based on him and his assets
Are you going to get to the Brawl design tier list
I love that idea for the Final Smash. If I could animate I would make something for it right here and now, especially for that final hit shattering the crown.
It would be criminal for puff to not be in every smash. She is a vital part of smash and we all know it!
But now the move is more accurate to the source material, and Jigglypuff has another resource to offset their fragility… If they use it smartly.
what are these changes lmfao, her dash attack is like her only good burst option so changing it is stupid, her aerials are mostly fine as they are, her down and ftilt defo need changing just because they're so useless, her up tilt is also fine as is, the up and neutral b changes are actually cool, but changing rest is genuinely insane, it is such an iconic and sick move in smash and i have no idea why you would ever even think of changing it
F tilt isn't useless it just needs more range and down tilt just needs kill power

This is the first video of yours where I really think it proves why the character should remain the same. I really appreciate the work, but I think Jigglypuff's whole deal is being a cheese-ridden broken mess. I don't see the point bringing her back unless she's remains a chaotic mess.
She og 12 and iconic so idkwhy she wouldn't come back
On the topic of Scream Tail, I see a world where that becomes an echo fighter.

@@gubsy3730
Ganondorf's voice is the same across languages, though...?
I love the video.
I wonder if you could one day do a side project on revamping the idea of Custom Specials.
I agree with the up smash
I think another part of the new wake up slap move bonus should be that wake up slap deals more damage/knockback to sleeping opponents
Great changes, I like the choices for the smashes and dash attack. The Final Smash is excellent, too.
The dash attack wasn't good at all that could be forward smash cause the og dash attack is already really good if you look at the animation
idk man ledge guarding with low angle disarming voice while being at almost center stage sounds devious
jigglypuff's new down special feels more like snore than rest
how sick would it be if disarming voice ignored shields? pretty strong, but not unseen in smash, and with the right damage and utility tuning, it could be balanced, if powered. it would also fit into puff's playstyle of conditioning options in order to set up for a rest opening (whose change was... odd... i expected if rest was changed, it would be closer to it's pokemon appearance. it feels like it should heal if you forgo the hitbox and reach max charge...)
The only change that Jigglypuff had to it's moveset was its pummel in Ultimate. They did Puff so dirty.
Honestly the move set is fine but it definitely needs tweaks
1:48 I know it’s not much BUT I’d love for a Alt.Color, A Jigglypuff whose fur on top of its head to be rocker spiky instead of the default curl to reference Peaches’ Jigglypuff from PokeToon Episode 8: Jigglypuff’s Song😝🥰
Scream Tail would definitely work as an Echo Fighter or semi-clone of Jigglypuff. I imagine it having a lot more weight and a bit more power, but being a bigger and easier target and being just a little less agile in the air.
13:42 I use sing while in the air, land on top of someone, they die shortly after, wonder why
Plz, can you do "Remake It! Princess Peach's smash moveset" replacing her neutral attack with the ribbon attack she uses in Princess Peach Showtime finally freeing poor Toad
Scream Tail would be a good, more grounded Echo of this puff with a few normal moves being psychic type, using that Tail hair and being a bit bigger
Makes more sense visually and power-wise
Would also be cool if Round and/or echoed voice gains power when used multiple times in a row just like in Pokemon
Idea for a possible "let's make it" episode...
The Beheaded (name probably wouldn't be the final choice for the game)
This is the protagonist for Dead Cells, which would have a lot of variety for weapons he could use (plus he has a connection with Castlevania, being an official crossover, so he's got an inside man, or two)
This looks like a great remake for Jigglypuff!
No
I think you could just change the name of Pound to Mega Punch.
Also, would it be going too far to have Jigglypuff heal (very slightly) while sleeping to put your opponent in a fight or flight situation?
I love your vids, brah! I'm just chiming in
I would honestly like it if sing healed you bit by bit the longer you're asleep.
Does this new Rest move still do the sweetspot fatal blow? Or is it just the buildup for Dazzling Gleam?
I'm impressed. For both my least favorite Pokémon and least favorite Smash fighter of all time, you've managed to revamp the moveset into something usable.
You really seem like I hater lmao cope all day cope womp womp
as a jigglypuff main
i would say keep rest the same as it was
I'd like to add that another good addition to Jigglypuff's alts would be its shiny color. It'd work either with or without an accessory.
Personally, I'd replace Pound purely for how visually boring it is, but that's just me.
Also, I feel that Rest should recover some of Jigglypuff's HP to be more accurate to the games. Not too much, maybe around 3-5 percent.
2:48 Can ge at least get the yellow eyes and cheeks?
I'f rather see Jigglypuff Dynamax instead of Terastalize for a Final Smash. Homages Puff Up better, and I think Max Starfall's three pillars would be a neat attack.
for the costumes, i dont understand why they don't change the eye color, would be a subtle but very good change imo
Unlike the rest of your remake its, puff needs these changes i believe
Nah puffs a dine character already just a few tweaks also the dash attack change is straight garbage
Meta Knight did get a Galacta inspired alt so jiggs can get a Scream Tail inspired alt. not literally it, but yes like the yellow tips and things like that
Mike Kirby would be a good Final Smash for Kirby, honestly. I'd preffer it to Cook or Ultra Sword.
Scream Tail works better as a Jigglypuff echo fighter, which can also work as a cheap alternative to a Gen 9 rep if it's not Meowscarada, Tinkaton, or Ogerpon.
I agree with keeping such an iconic fighter while updating their moveset with more sound an fairy-based moves
However I really don't like the use of her arms for up tilt and f-smash and keeping sing as an up special while making it propel her upward while damaging opponent is even worse than keeping it as it is
I think roll out should be more powerful if the move you last used was defense curl
Scream Tail would make an excellent clone. Not suitable as an echo fighter though.
I agree
and I think the perfect echo fighter for puff would be Igglybuff
@@vd8478 You want a smaller and lighter version of the lightest character in the game?
@@DjoingDalton as a echo fighter, yes
It can be like snakes up smash where the longer you charge it the further it will go.
would love to see how'd you remake Rosalina. Easily one of the most uniqe fighter
Good work, though i was hoping for more Fairy Type moves.
I would choose ethier Link or Lucina. Im guessing Link would be more based on BOTW and TOTK while Lucina could be more based on FEH.
If Heroes is used as at all in Lucina's Smash rework, here's hoping it's only the more flattering portrayals...
You replaced Rest… with a slightly better Wakie Wakie from Smash 4… I… don’t necessarily agree with this, but I do think a Rest Talk reference is cool.
