  • Hi guys,
    This is my first ride impression of Triumph Scrambler 400x. I saw Himalayan 450 and can say that both are very different bikes hence do not compete directly however Triumph Scrambler 400x is a very good parallel option for all of us.
    Here is what I liked in Scrambler 400x:
    1. Engine flexibility : good for city slow speed rides and sudden overtakes
    2. Exhaust sound: single sounds awesome at ideal and at low rpm and this sounds beautiful with twin barrel exhaust
    3. Suspension: Very good suspension
    Things need some improvement:
    1. Brakes
    2. Fuel tank capacity is less for touring
    3. Lights needs upgrade
    Do let me know what do you think of this bike. Do you prefer it over Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 or Himalayan 452.

    took a test ride today and I was equally impressed by the ride. But at the end of the ride, my right calf muscle was getting a lot of heat. Did it happen to you as well or it was just my test ride bike? Great video. Subbed

      Hi Sunny, thank you bro for watching and writing to me.
      Sunny, for me I did not feel much of heat and may be it is bcoz of me riding tiger800 on regular basis. However there was nothing noticeable in terms of heat. Mostly any single cylinder bike with that his level of performance will get hot.

    Internet is full of specs, finally a review that I can relate to in Bangalore traffic. Very practical video !
    How’s the riding posture/ergo ? (Keeping long ride on open highways or just sitting Idle in a Bangalore traffic ?

      Hi bro, thank you for encouraging words.
      Ergonomics are spot on for city and touring.
      Light, nimble, comfortable and fairly quick bike.
      If height is not an issue for anyone then I absolutely see no problem in this bike at this price.

      Hi Gautham, I am wearing Rynox urban gloves
      amzn.to/3t1EJgY
      These are not waterproof. Good for summer and daily rides.
      For touring you can try this
      amzn.to/46FisDy
      These are waterproof gloves:

    Front or rear which breaks could have been better?

    • @Jatinsharmafamily
      @Jatinsharmafamily  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi Jaden, thanks for watching and sharing your question.
      I found the front brakes to be soft. Upon check I found out that in speed400 they have sintered pads however here it is not.
      May be sintered pads in scrambler 400x can improve the braking.

    Hey brother, which is the better one? Himalayan 450 or Triumph Scrambler 400x

    • @Jatinsharmafamily
      @Jatinsharmafamily  7 місяців тому +3

      Hi bro, thank you so much for giving your time for this video and sharing your question.
      Bro, in my opinion these bikes do not compete with each other only area where they are similar is price. So if I compare in 2.63 to 2.7lakh what I get then Himalayan 450 has a clear edge. Himalayan is better in following areas:
      1. Off road capability
      2. Big bike feel
      3. Better highway tourer because it has more tank range and can accommodate luggage for long distance touring.
      4. Better service network
      Scrambler 400x is better:
      1. City friendly
      2. Better built quality
      3. Tubeless tyres
      So if I have to buy any one of them then would pick Himalayan 450.
      Hope this helps bro do let me know
      Keep supporting 🤗🤗🤗

      @aravindb9736 bro, I am yet to ride Himalayan hence can not say much about it however I have seen some reviewers mentioned heating in Himalayan but not uncomfortable. And I did not find any heating issues in Scrambler 400x , I road those bike in peak traffic for about 45mins.
      Stay tuned for my first ride review of Himalayan 450.
      I hope this helps bro

      Hi, I have taken test rides of both the bikes. For city and weekend rides I would pick scrambler as it is nimble and very well balanced. It has very good engine refinement. Better built quality. It has very good low end torque and mid range, top end get bit vibby doesn't bother you much. Whereas Himalayan has good midrange and flat top end. Very weak low end ...it has lag below 3k rpm. You should twist open full throttle to get more power...PS: in Himalayan i was riding with pillion and bike weight is too much ... Also while revving the engine i would feel that there is something is running inside tank might be because of there is air filter below tank ..not an issue but felt weird as first time riding the bike.

    Speed 400 > Scrambler = Braking, Cornering, High speed stability, city flickability, lower weight, easier to park & take it out, higher top speed/ cruising speed due to taller gearing, better fuel efficiency due to taller gears, 35-40K cheaper on road..
    Dont just blindly conclude Scrambler is better!.. I will pick the Himalayan 450 over Scrambler for that extra money 🤷‍♀️

      @Jatinsharmafamily  7 місяців тому

      Hi Pravin, thank you so much for giving your time for this video and sharing your valuable insights.
      I agree with your assessment between speed and scrambler. It just what I would do and I know that many would not agree.
      However if I have to pick between scrambler and Himalayan then I would pick Himalayan as well.

    • @Jatinsharmafamily
      @Jatinsharmafamily  6 місяців тому

      @chintalapativenkataramarahul hi Bro, in my opinion it should be just fine for 6 feet however Scrambler 400x would be more accommodating.
      Test ride both of them to get a clarity.

      Good see an another Jatin👍
      Jatin, thank you for your time for this video.
      I think you may be right however can say that the compound used in the brake pads for Scrambler is not same as used in Speed 400. It is intentional to keep it less aggressive this helps in off road but requires hard braking in city and highway.
      Keep supporting bro🤗🤗
