@@ProjectTimeGaragewhat model is this one. Seems like at times the ability to turn one side off would make for a decent dry food storage space if freezer and fridge isn’t needed
I bought the middle sized SetPower without a divider, did not like that idea --- it has 3 baskets if you want to use them ---- back in July, love that thing, set it at 33*F and my drinks are nice and chilled, my cheese, and deli meats are never ruined with water from Melted Ice..... this thing is the Best accessory ever..... Our Refrigerator quit working a while back, pulled all of the inserts out, and it took the gallon of milk, all of the deli meats, and we used it for 3 or 4 days until I fixed the Fridge. ... Being able to work off of A/C in the house is a Game Changer!!!
Good review, appreciate it. I am really trying to get a sense for how big I need - 35 or 45. But when you realize that in a general cooler, ice takes up 2/3 of the space, the 35L is equivalent to about 105L of space in a traditional cooler. So pretty damn big.
Got one a month ago. Game changer is the word !! No more soggy food. I can go easily with 3-4 days of food for myself. Wish they had a insulated protective cover like their other models. Maybe in the future ....
Thanks for the video man i really appreciate it I can't wait to get mine and I also order the cover case for the fridge as well might help might more on hot days
I just found your channel after searching 7.3 and scrolling forever. Instant sub. I'm no mechanic, yet, but I'm looking into getting my first work truck, and my research has led me to classic ford for easy to work on, and 99-03 7.3 for power and longevity. I've watched every video I could find on the classics, and now I am about to watch all your videos on the 7.3s. Any advice for someone wanting to purchase their first 99-03 7.3 on where to buy, what to pay, how much to expect to sink into maintenance/repairs? And I will definitely be getting some of your merch. Appreciate you bro, keep doing what you're doing.
Welcome aboard. My best advice is to do exactly what you are doing. Research and learn about them as much as you can before you buy one. The 7.3 is a very reliable platform, but sometimes they have been abused to the point they are not worth it. Also check out PowerstrokeHelp too. Bill has some older videos on the 7.3 that are pure gold
Running on AC or DC & having the battery protection is a must. Be great for traveling & going on picnics. The thing I don’t like about this unit is that it dosen’t have a removable divider. I want to be able to put water bottles in it to freeze & put them in a 5 day cooler to keep food cold & drinks when camping. I have power packs & solor panels to run it at the camp site. Most of the time a regular cooler works fine for the weekends but sometimes it’s nice to have a freezer to take frozen treats. The most important thing is plugging it into a 12v outlet that’s always hot.
If you do that much camping, you need to bring the cooler and the fridge. Coolers for drinks only. What keeps these fridges running effectively is not opening and closing the lid 25 times a day for kids drinks or adult bevgs. A few bags of ice in a quality cooler will last a weekend. And freeze your water bottles before hand, might save you on a bag of ice or 2. 😀 Happy camping ....
I thought I was gonna be happy this weekend a few weeks ago when I ordered the PT55 but the ship date got delayed so they offered to send me out the PT45 which was stalled in CA for almost a week via FedEx it finally showed up in my state only to find out setpower is having it shipped back to them for who knows why. Absolutely unacceptable I am now without fridge I needed this weekend and left with 2 ice packs they sent me for the orginal delay. So mad right now. Was this even worth the head ache????
Be careful using a chainsaw on camera without wearing $500 plus dollars worth of safety gear, the YT keyboard safety Sally's will get ya. Crazy how I've survived this long.
I am glad you showed that one section of the fridge can be completely shut off when not needed.
That feature has been really handy for us.

Yep, it's made my life easier for sure.

Yes, that's a great point. Without the ice there is quite a bit of room in there

I'm loving mine too.
Any update on longevity, are you still loving it 1 year later?
Man, you live on a beautiful piece of property.
Thanks!
We sent our F15 back - its temperature was off by 6 F, and when turned off it continued running.
That sucks! Mine has been working great so far.
Really great review! Mine will be delivered in 3 days!
It's been a while since this review and I still use mine often. It's been great!

I actually use mine WAY more than I thought I would.

I've ordered the pt45 for my big truck. My friends have them. I can't wate to try it out.
We're about to go on vacation and it's for sure coming with us. I use it all the time.
What type of portable battery bank that you use?
Thanks
It's called a Jackery Explorer. amzn.to/4c1cU9i

If you want/need a divider, check out the SetPower RV series.
How many watts does it use?
The manufacturer claims 50W when using MAX mode and less than 38W when using the MIN mode
What model is this one
PT35

LOL, I agree. The safety patrol is strong out there.
