How do I “make sure my device is in recovery mode” if my ipad is on black screen ? There is no way of knowing what it is doing until Im able to boot it up …yes or no ?

Reiboot asks to register or buy the full verison once its downloaded the firmware i cant register nor even buy it when u clixk it does nothing, mine wont turn on or show its charging the pc will only pick the ipad up if i put it in dfu mode itunes is the same and says ipad needs restoring once its extracged software it says waiting for ipad but ipad wont turn on so it fails everytime
What if the ipad is functioning (it makes sounds for charging and swipe to open) but you can’t see what you’re clicking because of black screen, is that the screen of death or a different problem? BTW I’m tech dumb and I think it’s an iPad 1.

@@human8042 That would most likely be a hardware issue (damaged screen cuz you punched it...) not a software issue. This video is only providing software issue fixes.
Mine has completely crashed out of nowhere as I was browsing on Safari & not responding to any of the trouble shooting tips here or with Apple including using their Finder facility on a separate lap top. It recognises the iPad but the iPad itself is not responding other than giving a very faint backlight flicker. This iPad is only four months old 🤯 I see online there are many people having this issue. I am using Apple products for many years & never had this problem

I am using Apple devices for decades & have never had this problem including with previous iPads. In my humble opinion I feel there may be an issue with components in the hard drive of a batch of devices? 🤔💭

This problem appeared to me and I could not solve it despite its simplicity. Just restart the ipad by long pressing the home button and the power button for only 10 to 20 seconds and it will work. like in video in method 2 - force restart iPad
I put the usb into the computer, connected it to my IPad, I press Enter Recovery Mode on the computer, and it says usb not connected? Even though I did?
Plug the iPad into a power for 1 hour, then try connecting to your computer again. The computer doesn't charge your iPad automatically so enough power is required.

You might have to force restart your iPad a few times as it took me like 3 times but it works.

The Itunes restore/repair doesn't cause a loss of data. Your photos and docs are saved in Icloud.
One click on the standard repair button did nit start the process but took me to pay or register
