    After watching a bunch of bow vids, I went bow shopping and tried some out. And from what I have gathered, the quietest, smoothest shooting bow I found was the Lift. It is a bad cat… I’m super excited to use it this season.

    "Giving us what we need as hunters, for the best price possible."......it's that simple, great words....As far as the Lift, a guy in my club is asking for a refund. He basically said, " I now have a bow , that I am afraid to shoot. I've stopped using cheaper things in the field, because I've taken them in the field with me and they didn't work or malfunctioned. Things as simple as scent cover. I don't care about the warranty". I definitely understand where he is coming from. I recently bought the NV-3, was looking to add one more bow, so thanks for this list.

    Appreciate your words about the Core SS. Feel like its a truly underrated bow. Its a sleeper for sure. Lots of folks might take the SR for the extra FPS, but the draw cycle is much nicer, and shoots very close to IBO rated speed with the right arrows. I have a couple of different arrow setups w/ my Core SS & am at 310 FPS w/ a 358g & 300 FPS 383g arrow, 29.5" Draw @ 65#. Still shoot my Carbon Icon @ 60# from time to time, which is super light and it is night and day - much prefer shooting the heavier Core SS.

    Bought my Lift prior to any news about limb issues and it has been great. However I think it is reasonable to have hesitation. I was shopping the Mathew’s and Hoyt against each other and might have gone Hoyt if I had known about a limb issue. In defense of the Lift if it was just a bad batch of limbs like they said the lifetime transferable limb replacement has just made that bow more valuable.

    .3% of the Lift has had limb issues and from the actual data . Those bows showed the issues in 50 or less arrows, with the majority within less than 20 arrows. The Lord allowed me to pick up a lift 33. It has been a great bow and no problems. I do feel comfortable and confident taking that bow into the woods and trying to harvest animals. Like others have mentioned, matthews has a very quick turn around time. I've seen on fb hoyt group where the cs for hoyt wasn't that good in their experience and the turn around time was weeks. Not denying any company today is producing some incredible bows. Bear for the price has done a phenomenal job this year. Cheers sir, I enjoy the show and no hard feelings. Your top 5 was a bad showing either. Looking forward to 2025 line up from brands this year. I'm very thankful and happy with my lift 33 and will not be in the market to upgrade anytime in the foreseeable future.

  • @risingwind8943
    @risingwind8943 Місяць тому

    I have a Prime logic ct9 that is pretty old. I was a bit hesitant because it kinda has 4 cams and a weird split-string thing going on, but HOLY is it a great bow. It is a dang laser. The only bow I have shot that I can say is better is the Mathews TRX 40, which I also got years ago. Both are incredible. Between my two bows, the Mathews is the standout because it feels like the bow reads your mind. The arrow just goes where you want it to. I can't describe it beyond that. Any modern top brand flagship-series bow is GOING to be good. They have been making bows and competing for decades. Between Hoyt, Mathews, PSE, Prime, Bowtech and a few others, your choice should be purely on feel. How comfortable is the bow for you? How smooth does it feel? How dead in the hand is it when you shoot? Does the arrow go where you want it to? Does it feel great in your hand. Most importantly, does it feel like an extension of you? People keep arguing over which brand is the best. Year-to-year, yeah, one brand may have the best bow, but they have been passing around that honor for many years. Notably, Hoyt has probably held the "best bow" for the most number of years. However, Mathews introducing the HTR was CRAZY. That bow was NUTS and I wish I hadn't gifted mine to a friend. Bowtech has the BEST bows for anyone who likes tuning and working on their own stuff. Not just that, but Bowtech has the SMOOTHEST bows. Mathews feels the most polished without accessories and to me feels the most special, Hoyt feels powerful, and is a laser beam with tuning, Prime bows have ABSURDLY stable feel and ease of aim. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ANY MAJOR BRAND. Go to a good shop. Test them all. Pick the one that speaks to your soul when you shoot it. Enough of this "my brand better than your brand ooga booga" nonsense. Leave that "apple user" mentality in the city.

    I love my AlphaX it is a fantastic bow. Smooth, accurate, and will be my hunting bow for a very long time. Probably will never get rid of it. However, I shot the PSE evolve 33 with the EC2 cams and wow, that thing was a blast to shoot. I would encourage people to give it a try. It’s forgiving and has a lot of positives. Anyway, love this channel and this review. Can’t make em all happy, and in all honesty, this is your list, period. I don’t understand why people feel the need to defend their bow if it’s not for you. I don’t agree with some of your choices, but I am not going to bitch about it. And if the alpha x wasn’t in the top 5, it was for me, that’s all that matters. Can’t stand the “take these 8 limbs and love it crowd”. However that would be a great country song 😂

    its no mystery why Bear struggles to break into the top tier. Love your reviews and the Persist was at the top in every single category and you pick one of their price point options? That hurts their flagship market when giving their flagship model its cred elevates their entire line up. Disappointing but hey now i know where you are at too. Its like Everyone is afraid to pick Bear including you too brother. Its all good. I own the alpha and the Darton and the Persist and it most definitly should be on that list. Most shops aren’t taking people to the range and grouping their broadheads and field points. Crazy justification to not put Mathews in the top 5. "its hard to maintain the No.1 spot" "they are too innovative" "take a step back, the risers are too much" Yes I can understand the worry that 3% of the bows may have limb issues. You of course do not want to get seriously hurt or hear of someone getting hurt. But come on. I on the contrary think they need to be even more innovative. I shoot a Vertix and all the bows since the Triax are pretty much the same bow with various ATA sizes and some minor new tech.. Every other company has been jocky-ing to be the number 2 behind Mathews for the last 30 years and until they also do something wildly innovative, it will stay that way.

    • @BackyardBows
      @BackyardBows  4 місяці тому +1

      I disagree I think there have been several bows since the halons that I would choose over a Mathew’s any day, Mathew’s capitalized the marketing game and until just recently has felt some pressure from some of these other companies, I can’t even count how many hunters and archers have come into the shop and bought something other than Mathew’s for
      The first time ever, again I love Mathew’s always have and always will, but the reality is people are starting to venture out and realize the endless options of amazing equipment out there. Mathew’s feels the heat or they wouldn’t have switched out the limbs and the Limb pockets and axle placement, it still seems all a little much to me. The 8 limbs will not last it was a marketing scheme.

    Imagine shooting the same bow since 2009. String replacements, sight and rest swaps and being super happy. Now imagine you buy a new bow with high expectations and find yourself utterly disappointed that new technology has not made these pieces of equipment that much better. Now imagine the bow you bought is "made in America" but then they added a shitty hat thats made in china in the box and it doesn't even fit an adult sized head. It actually looks like something you pulled out of a box you found in some abandoned mobile home park, bill all loppy, like something some asian tourist would be wearing.👎
