      Im at a loss on how to do that, how can you control your movements so precisely with your thumb? I even tried practising picking out a tree, see if I can snap to it but its always way off

    I’m a crap player but dream of ‘gittin gud’.
    My only caution to anyone changing settings: change ONE AND ONLY ONE setting at a time, then play a while to see how it is.
    NEVER change more than one thing at a time, because if your game is suddenly messed up you don’t know which specific change caused it.

      R. Logan just stay with it. I was the same last November, but once you start to get the hang of it you'll start to predict where the enemy's are coming from then you'll have your first battlefield moment and will be hooked!

    • @RLogan-sl7xl
      @RLogan-sl7xl 7 років тому +4

      TheUrbanLoner thanks buddy, I think once I get used to the range of the guns and bullet drop I'll be okay. In call of duty your shots go exactly where your crosshairs are, not the case with bf1.

  • @freelounge6001
    @freelounge6001 7 років тому +21

    Here's a pretty good tip for learning to aim with your screen as opposed to crosshairs: go to the single player mission 'O Tutti Accoppati' and turn your crosshairs visibility down to zero. Now play the mission with the Villar Perosa, going for upper body and headshots while remaining highly mobile. Later on you get a range of other weapons you can try hip-firing at the enemy, and as far as I know they just keep coming down the hillside if you don't advance. Great area for tweaking your aim sensitivities and getting a quick warmup.
    I'll sometimes do speedruns of the final mission of The Runner for the same reason, this time focusing on rifles.

    • @PaulusAlone
      @PaulusAlone 7 років тому +5

      Know what you mean! It's because everything runs ridiculously fast in Bf1 game AND this unfortunately means it drops data packets more during screen refresh rate... Thus the appearance of enemies in places you have literally just eyeballed and turned away from thinking you were clear on your console but on the other guys screen he's right behind you! But it's marginally better than the many COD kids abusing the almost glitched Ninja Flash-step technique of the bayonet charge I suppose? ^^

    I love this game because it taught me a skill I couldn’t achieve in other games, which you mentioned, and that’s getting used to always aiming from the hip, not having your hairs on the floor, and just keeping alert from which direction an enemy is more likely to come from. To me bf1 is just an awesome game in general really realistic and def one of my favorites

    A good way to find the right sensitivity for yourself is spin in a circle with any sensitivity and try and land in the same spot over and over as you spin. Keep playing with it and you will find the right sensitivity.

    I have to thank you broken. I've watched the "improve your aim"-video and it helped A LOT! I was playing since day one of battlefield 1 with stick sensitivity 20% and auto aim ON and I thaught I could never survive with that off. So I turned my sensitivity to 35% and tried to aim with auto aim OFF and I am better than before. So thank you mate and keep up the good work and sorry for my bad english. :)

    I’m losing my fucking mind trying to get good. Any more bf1 and I would probably have a breakdown. Just how do you manage to be as bad as I am. I am so bad to the point I miss shots POINT FUCKING BLANK. I’m done, I give up. This game is not worth my mental health. If you can’t hit stuff in front of you, point blank close range, it’s a good sign you’re beyond repair.

      I absolutely encourage you to walk away of the game in this circumstance
      But i just wanted to make a little clarification for anyone from the future who may be looking here.
      Close range aiming, especially against moving targets, is one of the hardest things to do on console. I recommend concentrating on mid range firing to get a better feel and build up confidence about your aim.

    • @NoorAdventure2007
      @NoorAdventure2007 Рік тому

      Please don’t mind this comment lol. I was in a bit of a different state of mind at the time, and my anger problems were a lot more severe. I don’t play Bf1 anymore, mainly because I’m not really into shooters anymore. Just wanted to say this in case there are people who want to write something in regards to my previous comment. At the time I wrote that comment I had very low self esteem, but now I’m a lot better and happier as a person. I appreciate any advice you all have given, but frankly, I don’t think it’s worth commenting on something I wrote 9 months ago lol

It totally looks like players on consoles are blind, the player always just running between the enemies, taking them down one by one, while there are 5 enemies around. All that matters is that you have fun. I am not a good player. I probably make (definitely make) all the wrong moves. Do to be able to watch you and all the amazing players is awesome. I play at a really low sensitivity about 25% sometimes 30.
    I'm a defensive player. I avoid CQC.

      I used to do that myself, mainly because when Battlefield 3 came out I got severe motion sickness (for the very first time) whereas I had played Bad Company 2 with no issues!
      Someone on the old BF forums told me to drop all my turning sensitivities right down and only play for approx 30/40 minutes until I built up a tolerance. Plus don't play when stressed or tired etc.
      And it worked like a charm! I only pushed it higher than 30% myself in Bf1 to avoid the increased melee rush attackers who try to bring clubs and knives to gunfights (you people know who you are...lol) and run right up to you, thus requiring a faster turn rate to deal with!
      Even in close quarters combat you can still pull it off using 25-30% if you just get your back to a wall or solid object and reduce the angles of attack. But low sensitivity works great for most situations in my book?
      Of course I'm not a KD king and I just play for those fun Battlefield 'moments' so what do I know? ^^

    Or what helps finding center or at least what I did at first, was take an old sticker you don't want or haven't peeled back yet. With a razor blade cut a tiny circle or square and I mean tiny, and place on center marker of your tv. Doing this will slightly cover your iron sight on recon rifles especially, but will help out someone who's somewhat new to FPS games as it helped me when I was just first starting out. Call it silly or what have you, but it works always seeing that very tiny white dot on your screen being able to always know your center zone. Just a tip I thought I'd share that someone once showed me that helped me out

      Tyler Fader I did as u advice and any where I move the crosshair too the little paper in the middle is always there. It seems like anywhere I move it to is the center.

    • @Faydurr
      @Faydurr 7 років тому

      Shae Akins not sure what you mean here, but if asking how to find center of your screen, go to empty server or campaign and while standing still, the center of crosshairs or dot that's shown, place the small sticker. From then on that sticker will always show you center of your screen and able you to lock that on to enemy's quicker. You don't want it too big to block view but big enough to see. Or if your saying now you can always tell center screen after placing the sticker, that's the idea, and helps tremendously

    why does not anyone talk about the spotting aim assist??? u get literally an aim assist on the spotted enemy and your aim is much more accurate while u shoot on him/them...I dont know if this is a bug but its a little advantage and makes it op in some situations...on youtube I didnt find anyone who is talking about this

    good video. I also liked the sensitivity video you did. explaining all the different sensitivity options. now that I know what they all mean specifically now and have it pretty close to were I want. you can set you hip fire sensitivity then adjust your ads sensitivity accordingly. wish I played on pc.
