My wife is a cellist who plays in a couple of amateur orchestras. I bought her an iPad, Apple pencil, copy of forScore and a pedal page turner for Christmas. Neither of us had used an iPad, let alone forScore, before. I hate to think how we would have got everything set up and working without the aid of your video. You have managed to explain all the essentials perfectly in less that 15 minutes. Remarkable!
Finally, a competent forScore user who knows how to write the name of this application correctly (with a small letter, always). What can't be said about some of the comments under this video.
It's not that, people really write like that. Also, this auto-correction doesn't happen on my iPad. And many more write from desktop computers, where there is no auto-correction.
Emma, you have explained the forScore app in a way that is easy to understand for new users. Thank you! I think that saving paper/printing and page turning would be great benefits.
Thank you, Emma. My new iPad and Apple Pencil will be delivered shortly. I can hardly wait to get started. Your video is the perfect introduction. Goodbye, bulging 3-ring binder, where it's hard to find the piece I need.
This video is a great introduction to the functions and operation of the app. I bought forScore after watching this video. She does a wonderful job, and I agree that forScore should be sponsoring her! No more dragging around 3-ring binders and searching through them to find my music. Saves a huge amount of time! I'm a guitarist, so my files are primarily guitar tabs, but the file management works the same. I'm still learning the nuances of the app, but I love it so far!
Thanks so very much for this video. I'm an amateur recorder player and I've been seeing more and more iPads in group play. So I bought a used iPad and downloaded forScore. When I started reading the manual I broke into a cold sweat. So I found your video and am very grateful to you for your gentle yet thorough introduction. Thank you!

I keep referrinf back to your video to upgrade my knowledge of this app. Thanks SO much for this video. I had been using the Files app on my iPad for all of my charts but I was unable to find a wireless bluetooth page turner pedal that worked with the files app. Not only does this app work with the AirTurn Duo 500 pedal, but you showed exactly how to set it up. I could not ask for more. Again, Thanks so much for this video. I will now introduce my bandmates to this app and the bluetooth page turner. This is a true game changer.

Good video, thanks, The only thing you have not addressed is how to remove music from the screen while retaining it in the library, without deleting it and having to reload it. Pretty basic but confusing.
Emma, your video has been the most helpful of all the videos I've watched regarding the forScore app. I've been going back and forth for nearly a year on when I'd buy an iPad specifically for storing my music, and I think you've just help me commit. Best wishes!
Great video. Using forScore for me, has made it way more practical on a gig, because all the tunes are alphabetical, so I’m not searching for things that aren’t in order when someone calls a tune. Also, I can always see it well because of the backlighting. It’s just better than paper, and yes, get the Apple Pencil for annotation. Your voice is great, and you straightened out a few things I was confused about. Thank you.
I am a dedicated Microsoft man who only uses iPad with reluctance. However this video has changed my mind for music use. It is absolutely worth working out the weird prod and poke of the iPad world for this app. Do use the stop and repeat part of UA-cam as the 13 sections are clearly marked. I recommend writing a list because Apple methods are not obvious to a person like myself - I have been designing computer software interfaces since 1968. Yes 15 years before the IBM PC. Thanks for sharing your experience with forScore Pro, Jim! I haven't tried it out yet, but am curious to do so in the future. I do like using my foot pedal! 😉
I tried a foot pedal. It always moved or took extra coordination. I have a new appreciation for organists now. But once you do the "grin" method, you'll never go back. It's made my practicing so much more enjoyable.@@pianowithemma
