I currently use 2 music stands so I don't have to turn pages. After this episode, I purchased a foot pedal and am beginning to get set up on my iPad. My practice area has binders and sheet music lying around which need to be dealt with and organized. I hope this will work for me. I'm working on it! Thanks for your input, Josh!
This video and the previous one concerning the use of the IPad in music are unavoidable on the technical and practical level but also in view of the various worries to use this tool. Very helpful.
thank you this is great info , this will really work for Me . now let's Get some Great Gigs... so the wind and the Light dont matter anymore.. but only Easy and Beauty for The MUsic i Play..
Been a computer nerd since 1981, have 3 computer screens AND my phone going, but STILL print out my music and have no IPAD. One of these days. Thanks for the info
That's great to hear! Thanks so much for the super chat! I hope the transition will be easy, I certainly love the convenience (and the backlit screen, etc).
As a music producer I work all digital for years. But when it comes to piano playing I really wondered If my 11“ iPad could replace all my sheet paper. And it could not😂…just tooooo small….. Now that a 13“ iPad Air is available at a reasonable price I needed someone like you how convinced my inner self what a already knew. It felt like my brother is talking to me. Thanks again for this wonderful video ❤
I have been using the big ipad since about 2016 but have not been able to use it for a whole church service as the battery goes down so quickly. Was tempted to buy a newer one but not if the battery life is just as bad.
A new iPad will definitely have a longer battery life to start with! All batteries degrade over time - my 4th gen 2020 iPad can still easily last for a number of hours but certainly doesn't have the battery life it did when it was new.
😊I just got my 13 inch iPad few hours ago ,can’t wait to use it for music sheet.
Nice, have fun!

I would just love an e-ink display device with pen support that supports an app (like MuseScore etc) to write music.
I think there is an e-ink version of mobile sheets out now. That together with an 13 inch sink tablet might work great
Thank you so much for all the infos. Made my decision to change to digital much easier😀

This new one battery is better( 13 inch )I play in church too
Buy an external battery pack and plug it in.
@@pattscrivenerartist yup did that but the ipad drained faster than it charged
@@torithemusician Maybe a new battery would solve your problem then.

I don't suppose adding the pedal to your already full feet with the harp pedals, isn't a problem after a bit of practice?
In 2022 I bought a Lenovo Tab P11 (11 inch) for about 250 €. But I still prefer to play music from Paper.
