    This feature and the 1/2 page turn are great options. I play the double bass and I find that I still need a pedal because of where I need the music stand to see the other players or the conductor but I’ll use the gestures at home practicing.

    Thank you for the Demo! A question: I am also playing organ i church and I sing along with the hymns. How do you think that will affect the hands-free page turning?

      @FlexLessons  Місяць тому

      Hello Andreas! Sorry for my delayed response. It's possible that your singing could trigger the page turns, however, it might work just fine. I don't sing when I am at the organ, and so I am not sure how it would work out. However, I do hear that you can also wink one eye instead and I imagine that would work well. If there was any issue, you could always disable the auto page turning when you sing and re enable when you play a piece with multiple pages.

    Thank you. I would like to see more videos about forScore 13, as I did not upgrade to this version myself, as I did not like everything there. I would like to see if the features in Settings > Gestures have changed. Have they added gestures and additional actions for them etc. And also what the application looks like if you open two instances of the application side by side in Split View mode. They say that the secondary window in this mode has received a completely new design.

    • @FlexLessons

      I will do a video at some point soon explaining ForScore generally, and if I get a chance, some of the features added in 13. In my opinion, version 13 wasn’t that big of a change for me. I haven’t yet looked into the gestures. The side by side feature is cool, but seems mostly intended for use on the Mac with a second monitor. I wouldn’t use it at all on the 11 inch iPad; however, the 12.9 inch iPad might work well, depending on how your music is laid out. You can also use the second window as a separate full screen instance of ForScore, but it doesn’t have access to all of the same features (no set lists for example). The secondary window can search and do some basic things, and it has the same view settings, but it doesn’t function as a second copy of the app.

    Thanks so much for this great video. I've been looking for something like this and it felt like I found the holy grail! I just bought forScore and upgraded to Pro so I could use the facial gestures -- the mouth movement gesture works great for me right out of the box, although as you said it will take a bit of practice to internalize that. You mentioned that you're planning on doing a video at some point explaining ForScore generally -- as a newbie to the app I sure would love to see that. Thanks again! @@FlexLessons That's great news -- much appreciated! I'm subscribed to your channel, so I'll hear about it once you release it. I've been adding my scores to forScore and it's going well, but there's a lot to learn. Sometimes it's hard to find how to do something that seems like it should be a no brainer. I'm about to edit my first score that contains multiple repeats with a DS and Coda, so we'll see how that goes. Definitely a very cool concept! I'm so happy with this program...

    Great video, and this puzzled me why ForScore Pro can do such excellent thing. Then I found it not because of ForScore. It is in the Ipad itself, called Accessibility. We have it already without ForScore. Ipad installed it for the handicapped. And because most of us are normal, we don't even feel the need to look into this feature. Hi: Thank you for that. Very interesting. My question is, I am a singer/pianist so my mouth is moving all the time as I sing the words of songs that I am playing. Would those mouth movements initiate turning a page? Thank you, Ken

    • @FlexLessons

      Good question. It depends on how animated you are, how sensitive the calibration is (which you can choose), and how good the lighting is. If I was singing a lot, I may be tempted to not use this feature.

    • @FlexLessons

      That may be a situation where you need to use a button link to go to where you want. Alternatively, if you must be hands off, you can duplicate pages so that the piece can be front to back with repeats built in. I have made use of both of these suggestions.

    I’ve just bought forScore pro to test this option. This is very risky and too sensitive for me. It changes the pages when undesired also. Imagine being inspired by the music and the machine reacts to your unconscious face movements. It s no for me eventually.

    • @FlexLessons
      @FlexLessons  10 місяців тому

      You can adjust the sensitivity but keep in mind it works best in good lighting. It took a bit of practice to get this to the point where I could rely on it in public, and since I am usually using an organ with pedals, this was my only alternative to having someone turn pages or have music posted up all over the music rack.
