They turned it into a teen horror movie.

Without a queen Alien, how do they have so many facehuggers? If they captured an injured "Big Chap" and brought him to the Romulus, how can he create that many eggs from the crew? Did they find the derelict and send an expedition to freeze and capture eggs to return with them? I'm baffled by this. The movie will be watched, but how can they tie those hordes of facehuggers to a station that has no queen alien?
As soon as I heard "young people in deep space," I was all done.
So true, the first one was great because it had exerianced and young actors, a mix, this film is just a remix of all the others

it will be a total flop. Alien days are over. it's the same soup again and again.
It could be done, there's still some life in it. But Ridley Scott needs to be kept far far far away. He's just an old drunk now and has no idea what he's doing anymore.
It could have told the story about the engineers. Instead we got another xenomorph massacre.

i don't get why such generic lineups keep being casted. i am totally open to how it will play out in their character arcs and do hope they get character traits that will make each stand out uniquely. i doubt it though. use young, pretty people alongside lived in mid 40s mechanics, soldiers, relatable everybodies, unlikely heroines and so on, give them something to discover about themselves and change about their world view and their relationship with each other. slapping on a few shots of a holographic image of a missed loved one or some cringy flirting is neither backstory nor character defining.
It's hard to say what the movie will actually contain, but I think there is some truth in the comments.
In the light of current information, Romulus resembles a teenage slasher movie set in space. If so, then sadly almost all the characters in the movie are hollow. The characters have no real role to play in the film other than running around hysterically and dying in some gore way.
Nothing original , it’s going to fail, Alien & Aliens, set a high bench mark & nothing since has matched it,
It's a masterpiece among horror movies.👍
Alien 79 is Masterpiece.
Guarantee this movie will be garbage. Alien 1979 can't be recreated, James Cameron knew that with Aliens. They need to stop with this saga now.
