Thank you so much!! I never knew how to use the barcode. Not sure if I need the barcode now but I’m storing this info should I need it later. I luv ❤ your videos. I always learn something new and useful. I thought u worked for Silhouette. I was surprised when you said u were not affiliated with them. Anyway plz keep ‘em coming, again thx
Thank you! I'm recognized as a licensed instructor for Silhouette, but I'm not affiliated with the items they have for sale, meaning if I direct someone to their site and a purchase is made, I don't get a percentage.
Start small. Dollar tree items can be turned into some amazing projects, and it's not a huge loss if you do mess up. The "undo" button in the software is your best friend, and you can't break anything by giving it a go! You got this 🥰
Hi Brenda, Great video, Just love them, keep them coming, I have learnt thing that I have never used before, and I also love the Silh; program it can do so much!!, Cheers Anna.
Those areas on the design screen must be left blank. If there is anything printed in those areas, the sensor on the machine will "see" that and mistake that for a registration mark. That will throw the cut off.
Muchas gracias por el tutorial, yo tengo la edición Business pero no me aparece el botón del código de barras al lado de enviar, no sé si es fallo de la última actualización o es que hay que activarlo en algún sitio. Muchas gracias.
In the Page setup panel, in the Registration Marks tab, all the way at the bottom, there is an option to Enable Barcode on this design. Click that box and it should pop up.
You are using the Epson et 2720 printer in this video.. I am looking to get into doing stickers and was looking at printers at Best Buy today.. what are your thoughts on the Epson 2850, or the Epson expression premium XP 7100 for printing stickers?? That is the one thing slowing me down on getting the cameo, making sure I get a good printer.. I can always upgrade to a top printer later if the biz does good, just need something to get me started that would work for a bit.. but still don’t want to get the wrong one to start with…thanks
I'm pretty sure that the EcoTank 2850 is the replacement model of the 2720. They came out with the new line shortly after I bought mine. It looks like they have the same features, and I absolutely love mine! The ink lasts forever, and the quality is good, as long as you set your preferences to high quality. It is a bit slow, but I just send things to print, then move on to something else until it has finished. I don't have any experience with the expression premium. I am happy with the whole experience with Epson... just don't sign up for auto ship on your ink.
@@silhouettesuccess GREAT! Really appreciate your reply.. The Epson ET2850 is on sale right now at Best Buy for $199 (Reg $349) so yours handles the paper intake? The vinyls, magnets, card stocks etc?? If so, I am assuming the 2850 would also.. and no issues with ink smudging on the vinyls or magnet paper stock? Thanks again.. OH and you don’t have an affiliate link to the cameo 5?
I have used all of the materials that you listed. I had some issues with some brands of magnetic paper, but the Stone City brand works well, though. I have an affiliate link for Amazon, but not for Silhouette. amzn.to/4iI097P
If you have multiple pages in one project, i.e. I have a project with animals where I have 3 pages of print and cut animals with 3 pages of colored offsets all grouped and place off the cutting mat when I am not sending them to be printed and then cut. My question is, will the bar code change each time I bring a different page on and print or does it only work with 1 page/design at a time?
If you sold a PDF of your print file would the barcode be read by the customer's machine? Or does it store the information on your particular computer? Thanks
I think it stores on your computer, but I'm not positive. I think if you sold the whole file it would work, but then again I don't think you are allowed to sell silhouette files. You can only "share" them.
I use the barcode on projects that I make often. For instance, I make motivation jars for a local networking group. The barcode saves all of the information, so that I can print off a bunch of cards, then just run them through when needed. I don't use them on a project that I will only make once.
You have shown me so much about my machine I would have never known. Keep them coming
You are a fabulous teacher. Thank you so much for your great tips, they are invaluable.
Thank you!

This was awesome thank you for sharing. I have had my machine for about 2 or 3 years and didn't know any of the things I have learned from you
Thank you so much! I am new to Silhouette and was having a hard time finding a good current video. Thank you for showing the barcode feature .
I currently don’t use my Cameo but I feel confident that I can learn how with your easy to understand/follow tutorials. Thank you!!

Thank you so much. I'm learning a lot and really appreciate it. Great job.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks so much for shary
Thank you
Can you explain the concept of hatch areas? And its bearing in pre-cutting? Thank you

@@silhouettesuccessThank you ❤️
This is super valuable! Are you able to adjust the cut settings on that bar code if you buy a new type of paper?
I haven't tried it, but you should be able to add long as you open the file.

@@silhouettesuccess No, sigue sin aparecer, imprimo con el código de barras pero luego no aparece para cortarlo

Great tutorial! Curious if this works with cut by line when there are two cut lines with different settings within the file.
It should! I believe it saves everything in the send panel, as well as in the design panel.
Why when I do print and cut the colors look so incredibly dull! Please help

My question is, will the bar code change each time I bring a different page on and print or does it only work with 1 page/design at a time?
Each print and cut page would need to be saved with its own barcode.
Question is the barcode only used for the stickers?
It can be used for any print and cut project.
Are you using sublimation printer?
This printer has regular ink in it. I have another epson printer that I use for sublimation.

I don’t understand why you need the barcode as well as registration marks, surely you only need one or the other ?
